The fact that the movie cleverly disguises itself as a silly Borat-like comedy and then becomes a genuine commentary on society and politics is why I love this movie. Also the plot twist at the end where Hitler reveals that he was fully aware of being treated as a joke and wishing to exploit the fact that people are not taking him seriously yet was amazing.
@@kraizmerentertainment2121 Believe me, in the 1933 election there was a substantial number of even communists, democratic socialists and free laissez-faire capitalists who choose to vote for the NSDAP simply because it sported strong and impulsive leadership. When times are bad people turn to those who appear the strongest to undertake the upmost necessary choices in order to rebuild stability and restore prosperity. Just after the burning of the Reichstag in1934, when all the other parties both right and left where reluctant to sign a decree in order give the Nazi party unchecked power for 4 years, but recognised how the state was so fragmented and politically handicapped that they viewed it as a necessary evil for preservation. Simply put: when times are bad strength overrules whatever is weaker than the level it displayes .
The silence is something not many speakers truly make use of. But he shows, even in this film format, that it really is a captivating and powerful tool when used properly.
In tik tok age a 5 second silence has the viewer already scrolling on to three new videos by the time you start delivering your message. But yeah in a setting where the audience is yours, silence can be a very powerful tool.
The sight of this man in full regalia and standing firm in power and pride, compare that to the sight of Today's leaders...Merkel, Trudeau, Biden...Ugh
Who gives a shit what these ghouls wear or how swaggy they look with their pins and logos? Jesus Christ all you people care about is style, aesthetic. All of those politicians are vapid wastes of space, but not bc they don’t fucking Dress nice mate 🤡You’ll sell your entire family out to the devil if he came to u dressed nicely and talked with confidence, even if what he’s saying is complete dribble and half truths.
If you watch his old speeches with subtitles (if you can find them) you notice everything he talks about is of issue today, he fought against the tyranny of the bankers and we now face the same foe.
Some of the angles they shoot of his face as he silently stands at the podium... you can see that he's of a different caliber of leader than modern day politicians and businessmen. There are none in the modern world like that, even if his ideology is violent and irrational
That was uncanny. Surprising to see a portrayal of an Austrian Painter speech that isn't just shouting. Regardless of the content of his speeches, the funny moustache man didn't start out screaming at people, he built up to that as he made it more and more clear as to what he viewed the problem was. The shouting was very much a tactic, meant to demonstrate his seriousness in resolving the problem. Well done, movie. Well done.
Be vigilant! Stay strong! He can put you in supporting him! Don’t get me wrong! He was a great leader but his intentions are detrimental. Revise the history!
they did a good job on emulating real H's speeches. he was beginning from silence, then very calm and low, escalating the voice tone and firing up the audience, almost every his speech ended with him being wet from sweat because of the screaming
Its inevitable that another would appear, the problems and enemies are almost the same as back then,he tried to save us,the masses in their ignorance choose slavery. Will this generation too?
You can tell how good he was at his speeches, talking about current issues to gain the support of the people. People in the comments are supporting him, even though we know what he did, he still managed to convince people of today despite our knowledge of his actions. People would vote for him all over again because he has convinced the people that he was reasonable and is willing to change our current problems. But yet again, history just repeats itself once again.
@@mitchellwright5478 The Polish were terrible to the Germans. They were one of the main reasons (along with the you know who's) the great man was dragged into a war he wanted no part of.
it only takes a confident and charismatic speaker to rally the crowd to a cause; this film is a warning. before you know it the world can be on fire and your country in two.
He was the most charismatic politician ever in my opinion. That was his true genius, although he thought himself a god of warfare, his true, most undeniable power was captivating whatever audience was in front of him.
The thing I like about this movie is that it's not just gags and cheap pot shots at hitler as a joke, they've actually written the character well and come up with genuine points about problems today which he definitely could've said, it's not a top 10 movie, but it is a great watch
I just kind of had a deeper understanding of the movie. Honestly, but I'm also aided by some psychoactive substances. But my insertion is he's not really seeing anything entirely new. Sure, it's placated to our modern society. But realistically, it's problems that have been repetitiously repeated. Throughout history realistically I mean like. He's just saying the same thing that people can relate to throughout history. But because people don't have access to such deep understanding of his speeches and entire playlist of such or a sadly, not common knowledge that essentially 2 people in this movie at least in the context of it believe any satirically emulating. Hitlers character caricature Does these people think that this is such such new relevant and modern Issues when realistically it's the same thing over and over again. Just getting people riled up about the same s*** I don't know i'm very fucked up right now let me know how you feel
@yetti3145 lmao, it's fine, I understand, and yeah I do agree, much of what he says definitely isn't new and if the people in the movie had a better understanding of history and how he came to be last time, and his mannerisms and such, they could've seen through him, but they don't and I think that's really realistic. Most people today can't fathom how millions of germans supported him back then, what this movie conveys is that anyone could fall for it at any time, hitler didn't win the election on the holocaust and the extermination of jews, he won on the very real problems in German society which he brought forth passionately with a solution that sounded logical, played both their rationale and emotions, and that's the point, anyone could fall for it, even today, it's the same sh*t just a little different message
@@VladimirVladimirovich1952 it definitely makes the speech seem like it is off the top of your head or stream of consciousness. He mentions this in his book
The true joke is how this movie is 9 years old and this speech hasn't become even slightly irrelevant. Only thing that changed was that the abyss became so large that the screen can no longer cover it.
i hate that facists are the only good populists, because the choices in mainline politics are largely between "no, you're wrong, everything's mostly fine!" and "yes, and the deceptive jews are behind it all" like i'll pick the first obviously but ffs
Yeah, sometimes media tends to blind us from the main problem by creating other smaller problems seem bigger that could have been benefitted in helping us solving the main one
@@Kanasubigi896 He only ever spoke in his deeper voice in private, like in the mannerheim tape. He would often scream in this high pitch for the German People.
@@Holidaypunch1 Not entirely true. He would never "scream" for the entirety of his speech. He would build up to that crescendo over several minutes of talking.
@@asherlyle he takes advantage of people in bad times, like a shinning light in darkness, thats why they turn towards him. they are blinded by his charisma
This film works on several different levels. Satire, mockumentary, and maybe a warning to voters of the future. The actor playing Hitler is outstanding. One can only imagine the magnetism of a public speaker like Hitler in the 1930's on the German people after the humiliation of WW One, hyperinflation, and crippling sanction.
@@jimmycakes7158I do agree with him. Why shouldn't I? I listened to hours of his speeches and their some of the best political speeches ever made, why shouldn't I agree with them? Because the establishment doesn't want me to?
@@jimmycakes7158 absolutely. you can still catch a lot of young folks who identify as scoialists/communists who think fascism is the opposite of that with quotes from Hitler in Mein Kampf or his speeches where he talks about how bad capitalism is. A huge reason for the rise of NSDAP party popularity also was how degenerate the Weimar Republic was, the disgusting things that were happening every day that people couldn't accept and the SA were running around beating the shit out of these degenerates every single day. It wasn't all just Hitler that made them win elections by landslides, it was also them being the only people trying to stop the complete breakdown of any kind of moral decency in society. Hitler gets remembered for the genocide which was because he blamed the Jews for the problems, but the problems he blamed them for were *very* real. There are problems today that are *very* real. All you have to do is point at a group and say "they're responsible" and it's off to the camps again.
socialism is left tho, nationalism is right. Are you a national capitalist? since it only moved u towards right. For me im a fully socialist with nationalistic views.
That’s the point of the movie, it makes you side with Hitler until you realize how much of a monster not only he, but you have become for relating. Don’t forget that besides the holocaust, the entire European war was ignited by his ideals and party.
In no relation to this video, I heard a very good saying once about the value of silence that many choose to ignore these days: "Better to be silent and thought a fool, than to speak and leave no doubt."
Over there... is someone... Is holding some signs with some text for me to read. The text is a joke. A joke about immigrants. But why make jokes about immigrants? If you have rats in your house you don't call a clown. You call pest control.
@@violet-trashWhich he would never do btw. He was an avid animal rights supporter and an environmentalist. He had both progressive and conservative political views.
@@Shark_King325Animal rights and environmentalism isn't really progressive or something, its just an idea. The balance between progressivism and conservatism is often seen as a slippery slope than can cause humans to deteriorate if taken too far, while environmentalism is simply caring for the environment, it is completely separate from the social progressivism/conservatism argument, in my eyes at least.
The reason why “it’s becoming true” is because hitler campaigned on the exact same sort of shit the first time around. Our problems are not new in the slightest
He did not reach the position he did by making bad speeches. He captivated his audience. He made his audience adore him. This captures that really well. Even though he is here saying things that are pretty trivial, the manner in which he speaks captivates many members of his audience. The acting here is brilliant.
They are not trivial. That is the whole point, concerns of people overlooked by those who rule. This how power in cultivated, once people are ignored they will follow those who will not ignore them.
Honestly he would have my full attention i don't even understand german that well but every day it slowly gets easier to understand German slowly like it's English but not full English
When you tell the distributors you're making a blue pill comedy, and then end up slinging red pills every five minutes for two hours, and still with comedy.
I'm pretty sure the writers are based. They just implemented a few scenes showing Hitler as an asshole to please the productors and slipped redpill everywhere else in the movie.
Dear god people, stop with the red pill, blue pill cringe. Somehow z-generation managed to come up with a term that describes it all best - literal Brainrot.
His performance was honestly underrated, he prepared incredibly for this role. The accent, the way of delivering each word. If you are somewhat familiar with the German language he actually gives you goosebumps
what amazes me about this movie is that while they are using hitler as an image for a joke, they also use the genuine techniques he used in life that got him popular in the first place.
I might guess that it would show how well Hitler will rise through political office after political office, eventually reaching the point where he can declare his Fuhrer dictatorship and a fourth German Empire
To be fair, it's not like they are available to watch in full length on RU-vid as is this clip. Otherwise there would be a rise in neo-nazi individuals.
Yeah, but youtube took down basically everything worthwhile. 8 years ago you’d find hitler speeches with 20+ million views, hundreds of them. All gone now… for reasons you can expect.
It's because the old speeches are out of time.. This scene speaks in Hitler's voice to our time. So it confirms, if someone as crafty on the fly with words as Hitler were to appear today and had his drive... He would absolutely rise to power again and at the same breathtaking speed.
How US works 1) print so much currency your money becomes worthless 2) support islamist groups and countries in middle east and south Asia 3) bring in jihadis from middle east as refugees and treat them like kings 4) harass legal hardworking Indian, Mexican, Chinese and other immigrants 5) blame illegal immigrants for your problems while actually clamping down on legal and beneficial ones 6) rinse and repeat
And into the abyss he went. Dude unalived himself. 😂😂😂. All that bravado and when the red army is at the door steps......he chickens out and shits himself. Afterall he would've gotten the Mussolini treatment
This is exactly what we'd see of Hitler today, and damn, I love how this speech goes. He completely controls the room with his mere presence, despite not even being the host. He takes the point of the comedy on the sign and completely runs away with it. It's mesmerising how he can do that... and remember this is an actor attempting to imitate him, not even Hitler himself. It just shows it's not only about the idea, it's about the man who represents it, the skills he has, how he captivates people, and how he represents his idea. How quickly an audience goes from hatred to admiration within a minute or two of speaking, like sheep.
@@WalrusWinking What I see here is good oratory skills and a good way of appealing to regular people. I don’t agree with calling immigrants pests though
The sad part is, this is meant to be lampooning, not just the concepts, but you - the people. It is meant to be spitting in your face, gas lighting you by saying what you absolutely know to be an unquestionable truth, a tenet of mere observation. But then twisted into a joke. You, the viewer, are their punchline. That they can spit in your face, gas light you so brazenly, and instead of offended; you laugh. You laugh nervously to excuse the fact that you know that not only is what he is saying is right, but because in your heart of hearts you know this is all still part of the constant gaslighting. It's a conspiracy theory, at first. Then it's a fact, but it's a good thing, here's ten reasons why. Every single thing you know to be true you've been lied to and gaslit over for years, until they cannot avert the obvious realisation of the unthinking masses at which point they get in front of it with a "It's true, but it's a good thing." And here's ten reasons why. Number eight will shock you. And they profit from it. The reality is many of you deserve to be mocked this openly. But if you google knights fighting snails you'll begin to understand how long this war of attrition has been going on. And no, it's not the lombards, no it's not this group or that group. It's the one group that you cannot criticise. I've burned three accounts today just commenting--not even offensively--on them. The mere usage of their name, regardless of the context, will get you purged from all social media. They rule you. And they mock you. And they ritually humiliate you. Because apparently you haven't had enough yet, you aren't ready to stand up and say "I'm done. You're out. Again." For the 110th time.
I have man respect for the fact that, while this film is a comedy at heart, it bothers to aknowledge the man as human, and some some Disney-esque villain we've come to view that whole time period as due to a near century of overblown entertainment for it. It dares to actually draw attention to glaring, modern issues not just in Germany, but most of the industrialized world today. Something he could have truly seen had he been time-traveled to today - it's the kind of speech he probably WOULD give in that situation. It's refreshing to humanize the man instead of treating him and that entire period of history like some Saturday Morning cartoon villain.
It's ironic how Germany in the 20's and early 30's had right to be angry. However, the rise of National Socialism sadly preached misguided hatred of innocent Jews instead of demonizing solely the guilty French government for not only the Versailles Treaty, but for playing a major role in fueling the Great War since their well-deserved defeat in 1871. Today in Germany we see modern Nazis dwarfed by their successors...the bastards of Ishmael. German Jews and German natives alike are under siege again practically almost one hundred years later....All because of a weak modern Weimar government whoring their country away for the sake of votes.
What i like about this movie is the real actor dressed as Hitler went to public and was not staged which means all those people who interact with him are real.
The only thing I dislike about this movie is that it basically takes (real) normal people who have concerns about immigration and paints them as Hitler supporters in disguise. Like, you're not allowed to say you dislike things without being a nazi?
Thats exactly the point. Its to show that people have these concerns and if somone like hitler also agrees with them then that makes them a nazi. Its nothing but pure mockery to keep peoples mouths shut
People forget genuinely how funny Hitler could be. He roasted FDR for being a feckless leader and had a crowd of hardened Germans gut busting laughing. He had a strange charisma that is well translated here
The movie is meant to bring home to us how Hitler mesmerised a nation. People today think that it couldn't happen again, but we see quite quickly that the conditions exist even in a largely anti-fascist nation like modern Germany, for a skilled and charismatic propagandist to become popular.
The problem is, if he came back as a stranger, and if you removed all the hate for jews and minorities and that, the odd thing is, he would be right... 😂😮 as fucking bizarre and twisted that is...
