I think a lot of us would love to see a “how we shoot GMM!” And you guys walk through it and how the directors really aid behind the scenes, the game plan of the day and the show. What gets cut out..
You guys have been part of my life for the past 7 years. I am now 31 years old, I married my high school sweetheart, have a 4 year old son, and graduated with my Bachelors degree in Education. Even though I have never met you guys or the mythical crew, you're all like family. The big brothers I never had. Thank you for all the great memories and awesome moments. Here's to 10 more amazing years! 👏 Love you guys! ❤
@Joey Scerbo this is why I love the mythical community 😄 thank you very much Joey. Really appreciate it. Wishing you and your family the very best as well.
I, for one, really enjoyed the Mythical Show. Maybe y'all were a little ahead of your time with that. That was an era of 10 minute attention spans. No one wanted 30 minutes in one go. I wonder how it would perform these days.
Seeing as Tiktoks are only a minute, and RU-vid has invested heavily in shorts..sadly I don’t know if it work in today’s climate. Which is unfortunate, because I’d love longer episodes
I loved the gm show. I watched years after it came out and was blown away. I like long form content so maybe that’s why I liked it but thought all the segments were awesome.
Started watched your music videos in 2008. I was 12 and thought you were the most funny people on the planet. 26 now and that is still true to this day!!! Thanks for always being authentic. No matter what you do in the future, you’ll always have a fan in me!
10 years i6n internet time is truly incredible. 10 years in regular time is also incredible. What I guess what I'm trying to say is, these two are quite incredible.
when y’all mentioned the “other” gmm, i immediately knew what y’all were talking about and i never thought i’d get this crossover lol. gmmtv is a really popular production company based in thailand, that’s why you were seeing actresses. they have a lot of actresses/actors signed to them and do a lot of straight and queer romance dramas!
My favorite thing is when they do "other stuff" on the show. The food feels repetitive to me. The "back up plan" episodes were some of my favorite. I like when they leave the desk and do something fun.
i agree. i love the discontinued toys stuff haha it's weird to think, Rhett and Link started their show literally a week before i was going through some major transitions in my life. My girlfriend at the time broke up with me, and a day before that I found out i was accepted to graduate school. Eventually left graduate school but i still live and work in the city where I thought i was going to get my doctorate it's weird how time works sometimes
I'm kinda relieved that you're not just celebrating your 10th year but that the emphasis has been the next 10 years cause the show and your friendship has been a constant through these difficult times and it comforts me to know that it won't end soon. More power to you RnL and to Mythical. I hope you get to keep doing what you're doing cause you're really doing something great 😊
My first episode was the Never Wet episode - which I remember was recommended to me on a RU-vid ad - and I fell in love with R&L. To watching as I got ready for university in the morning, to watching in the evening after work, to watching with my husband. . . these guys will be a part of my daily routine as long as they're around. Mythical Beast forever
I am once again reminded that even if I did listen this on Monday I now realise how little memory it leaves when I only listen and not watch as a non-native English speaker. I am somehow much more connected with this when I can watch you speak.
Im so glad, that Rhett & Link still do their thing: They´ve been with me through this weird journey of the internet. Always a constant for good content and fun. Love em!
I have watched GMM nearly every morning since I was in elementary school…I’m a freshman in college now happily doing schoolwork listening to Ear Biscuits. Long time fan here and not going anywhere. It’s crazy thinking about it!
God... over the past 8-10 years I've been watching this show I've graduated High School, went through 3 years of college, dropped out of college, went through the trenches of mental illness, job hopped through several positions, lost family and friends.... GMM and Rhett and Link have always been a constant in my life. I love hearing how much the show has evolved and continues to persevere. Gives me hope that I can continue to do the same and still strive towards the vision I have for my life... and that means more than words could possibly convey. To many many more years of progression for the both of us. :)
Of all the GMM "series" that have been made. I miss LTAT the most. Even having stevie come on for an episode like this would have been cool to have as a throwback to LTAT hearing what she has to say about the evolution. Ear biscuits tho is the thing I listen/watch the most. I don't tend to miss episodes (except the anagram one) and it's been refreshing, similar to LTAT to get a more grounded side of the show, a more opinionate version.
Proud to say, I'm one of those daily gmm watchers and I can't wait to see where it goes :) I started watching the summer after 6th grade, and now I just began my second semester of art school. Thanks y'all.
Your content has helped me in so many ways. When I was a teenager in highschool it helped me feel a lot less lonely and now it helps me get up and start my day on time. I have adhd, depression and some other stuff so sometimes I struggle with basic tasks and there's so many days I don't think I would've of been able to get up and get as much done if it hadn't been for y'all and I appreciate it. I haven't been the most consistent watcher but I'm becoming more so and it's been a huge part of my life for 8 or 9 years. So many thanks to you both and everyone else who is involved.
This was a very wise and insightful conversation. As a mythical beast for over 10 years I can now see how some of the creative processes work I work to develop my own brand. You've got to take risks and hope and pray for the best. Thanks Rhett & Link, here's to 10 more years.
I still can't believe that for 10 years I've watched these guys almost daily. That's more then any of my friendships I've ever had except for one. It's been so long that I can't imagine not watching them. It's crazy how I forgot about alot of these moments but when they talked about them, they all came flooding back. I think I speak for everyone when I say, we love you guys and I hope you continue filling our lives with joy for years to come. But do what's best for you and when the fay comes that you retire, we will all support you. Thank you Rhett and Link ❤
I love how you talk about the ones who always watch no matter what... I am one of those. Ever since I started I've watched every day. I've read your books. I splurged on my husband and I to get the 10 yr hoodies. We can't wait to get them!
I started watching when they launched The Mythical Show. I freaking loved it! The intro was amazing! "The Mythical Show with RRRRRRRRRRRRRhett and Link!"
This is a very interest video as a fellow creator! Listening to the old strategy of titling, thumbnails, and video strategy compared to what you know now is really helpful!
I didnt mind season 22. I felt bad that you were bombarded with negativity, but i suppose that is better than people not complaining and just going away? Dunno i remember feeling bad for you guys
Listening to this episode is like going down memory lane of my own life . Each season was connected to an era . Thanks for being there along the way xoxoxo
Man, listening to this 8 years after I became a fan is crazy. I was just a small junior high kid, and now I'm graduating community college and planning my wedding. Thanks for being there while I was growing up my dudes. Ik y'all won't read this, but having a show like that to take my mind off the hardest parts of my life was a big deal. Having two father figures do a show like GMM is just an experience as a viewer that is different than anything else on youtube
When you say “oh yeah I remember that!” To each stage of GMM/all mythical channels. Crazy to think I’ve watched you guys grow for 95% of your journey (and binged the other 5%)
This makes me want to go back to making content. I had a set schedule that I stuck to for four or five years and then personally things got in the way. Now my motivation is gone. But seeing that people still watch my videos and comment on them is nice. It makes me miss the grind.
I found you guys 2 or 3 years ago when I was in school for my Associate's degree. I watched every morning before school. I got my degree but I still watch every morning. I think I've gone back and watched every episode of Ear Biscuits and GMM that I can find. Love y'all so much. It's so great to see how far you've come.
This show has been my rock since 2014. No matter how chaotic or difficult my life is, I always had GMM monday-friday. I don't have anything profound or especially meaningful to say, but I do want to say thank you.
The first episode where I really discovered GMM was the Will it Deep Fry, around September of 2015. This show has given me a chance to laugh through depression, rejection and a lot of loss of the following years. I'm grateful for that.
i’ve been watching you guys since season 2, i’ve quite literally grown up with you guys (i’m only 17). i’ve loved watching the channel go from what it was, to what it is. and i hope to continue watching it grow for a long time. i love you guys, and i feel honored to be a mythical beast ❤️
been watching since fifth grade, in the morning waiting for the school bus, am now a sophomore in college and listen to ear biscuits while doing homework, and watch gmm on my walk across campus for my 8am classes :) you inspire my own creative processes, thank y’all for everything
I love you guys. You are what I start every day off with and what I finish every day off with. I appreciate ear biscuits the most because I feel like I am getting to really know you, and how honest you are with your thought processes helps me reflect on my own thoughts and personal growth. Love you guys, to infinity and beyond 💜
My son started watching your show when he was 9 he is now 15 and I have been along for the ride as well! Love you guys , we will always be watching ! 🥰🥰
Honestly, great business owners. And I hear everything you're saying. It's all valid and legit. I'm here for the long haul. You boys do your thing and I support no matter what, cause I support you, Rhett and Link. I see what you value and do and I support it. Keep on going! Excited for the future in the middle stride of GMM
I didn't become a mythical beast until the pandemic started. Then I thought, "Well, I guess I'll watch these Rhett and Link guys until I've seen all their stuff.". YOU WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO WATCH ALL THEIR STUFF. Ever. There will always be more. RU-vid will always be there to say, "Hey, did ya see this?".
lol In 2019 I went back to the beginning of the channels and have chronologically watched....I just got to episode 900 and went ".......I still haven't seen 1000 plus episodes oh come on " 🤣
Bro i could sit here and write so much about these two guys, i have so much love and respect for them, the best friends i never had not meet, thanks for the 10 years of mythical mornings, im happy ur futures are bright 🤍
Went back to find out when I first subscribed/started watching GMM and it turns out it was April 18, 2014! From then until now has been a pleasure watching Rhett and Link and always a positive and bright part of my day, much love.
I distinctly remember a gmm episode so long ago where Rhett was talking about how in awe he was with how big the target was in LA😂 weird core memory I have, but it was when I discovered Rhett and Link and gmm back so long ago when they only had a couple seasons and I stayed up all night watching them all!
Seems like a lifetime ago I was looking for a video about the experience of going into a sensory deprivation tank and I stumbled onto GMM. I still watch that video every now and again because it really is a great episode and it motivated me to go try it for myself and it was amazing. It's been a wild ride.
I started watching GMM right after graduating from high school and it quickly became part of my daily routine. It has been part of my daily routine ever since. I’m am now married, expecting my first child, and turning 30 in a few months. I have never missed a single episode. I loved The Mythical Show and showed it to my cousins when I used to babysit them. It was amazing! I remember GMM22 and loved the content but didn’t vibe with the format only because I would watch while getting ready for school and I hated having to click around when RU-vid would put the videos out of order. Some of my favorite content is from GMM22. Today, I would love to see more variety in the wheel endings like the super random things that were in earlier seasons. I love Good Mythical Morning and I always will!
I am the same age as Rhett and just love how you all have led in example about don't ever become complacent. Explore the possibilities of your artistic expression! Ear biscuits has been my favorite above all else...the self reflection and always learning!
I needed this. My boyfriend left me and kicked me out of our home. I have a hard time feeling like it’s gonna get better. This podcast is one of the things I look forward to this every week though still
Thank you for the nostalgia trip. I started watching when will it cereal was in my recommendations and I remember thinking "I have never laughed that much at a youtube video. I've been a mythical beast ever since. #earbiscuits and gmm are always the best part of the week. Thank you Rhett and Link. 💙
It was in October of 2019 when ny dear friend Eric showed me GMM. I hate to say it but I wasnt into it right away and he stopped the video and was genuinely upset that I didnt like it. My dear friend Eric passed away shortly after, and im still devastated and grieving. I ended up getting super into GMM n every single episode/video I watch now i feel like im watchin it with him. I wish I wouldve given it more of a chance sooner, so I couldve appreciated watching together. Now, im still watching and keeping up and mildyly obsessed, and absolutely love you guys and the crew so much. Eric loved you guys for soooo long. I hope hes seeing everything yall do , just like me. ❤❤❤
I watched GMM and listened to Ear Biscuits since 6th grade... now I'm a junior in college! So so happy to continue to come back and re-watch my fav episodes and listen to the songs, podcasts, etc. Now with the other channels, I never go without having Mythical Crew content!!
It is a production company that makes tv shows that air on various channels in Taiwan. I first started watching you guys when I was 13. I turn 21 next month. You guys were so important to my childhood and helped me grow into the person I am today. Thank you for being the world's best internet dads!
Starting watching you guys around 2014! I used to sneakily watch GMM during graphic design class in the morning because it was my first class of the day. Now I’ve been out of high-school for about 8 years and still watching the show! So many creators from then I don’t watch anymore, or got tired of, but you guys have been a mainstay on my RU-vid for as long as I’ve been on here. Y’all have brought so much joy in my life through good times and bad. Love you guys and hope for the best for you guys and the crew!
Going back through all the eras is crazy to me, I started watching way back around 2013, I think between the mythical show and season 4 of gmm. I was 14 then, just finishing up middle school and starting high school. Now I'm 24, graduated college, working a full time job as an adult. It doesn't even feel like it's been that long, but I basically grew up with you guys. You hooked me with the nilla wafer top hat time song, and I've been coming back ever since.
I think I've been watching for 8 or 9 years . I can't thank you enough for all the laughs, I've been displaced at times and you guys are a portable slice of feeling like home. I appreciate all of y'all!!
Being a mythical beast is a part of my daily routine. I sometimes plan my day around it! As someone who suffers from severe depression, some days it’s the only thing I have to look forward to. Not to be cheesy or anything but I hope you guys know the difference you make in peoples lives.
I can't imagine not having gmm or ear biscuits or anything else you guys and the crew do as a part of my life, at this point it feels like family and nothing could ever change that. Here's to another 10 years 💚
* gasp * I just realized! I learned about GMM during a distressing time when my family had to make monumental changes and heart wrenching decisions, on top of moving half way across the country not sure when we would ever reunite as a family under the same roof. Today, we are at the tail end of loading up trailers to make another cross country move filled with excitement and possibilities in this new phase in life, with fresh opportunities and open to all that comes our way... secure in knowing we are going into this together, the ceiling and stars above us will provide respite and renewal as days move to night; repeat. Now I'm crying.
I loved The Mythical Show and my absolute favorite thing you did on it was celebrating every holiday in a month at one time. Those bits were so clever and fun and such a mess...literally. Wish that was continued on GMM so we'd have all twelve months. I thought Time Rangerers was cool but the thing you guys did with those puppets that made me laugh the most was the Harlem Shake. And finally my thoughts on GMM 22....there (probably) wouldn't be a Cotton Candy Randy without it since that's when you hired Jordan. I loved the extra content and often rewatch some of my fave episodes like Zombie Cuddle Puddle and Tinder The Musical.
Hey Link and Rhett. I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart and all the edges of my soul. I'm listening to Rhett explain how Important your GMM show is and I have to say.... without the both of you and the crew and the content you make each day I wouldn't be here anymore. Iv been going thru the toughest events in my life that I have ever faced and when I get out of work after my double shift and sit in my car and put your show on I find myself appreciating the world in an entirely different perspective and you have saved me so many times from that darkness that chases me. Thank you a million, thank you for everything and anything you have done. ❤
i remember watching yall back in middle school and watching the new episode of gmm every morning while i got ready for school. I'm almost 20 and a sophomore in college now and you guys are still an enormous part of my life. as long as yall keep making videos, i'll be watching:) happy 10 years of mythicality!!
Wow this is one of the only channels I’ve been watching since the start that is still going. Can’t believe it’s been since 2016 with links new haircut… I remember the mail videos.. I remember at least 2 other sets one of which looked like y’all were in a basement from what I remember. Can’t say I’ve been following daily but I take breaks and come back and you guys never disappoint.
Idk what it is about you guys..the laughs, the genuine stories, the foolishness ever since I started watching back in like 2014-2015..I have fallen in love with the content. I looked forward to GMM everyday. Pretty sure I’ve watched every episode at least 10+ times 🥴 keep doing what you’re doing because it is something special.
I hope Rhett and Link continue to try new things. I know EXACTLY what they're talking about with the samey tik tok videos. To me, it's why other channels fall off. They have one thing that makes them pop off, then when people lose interest, they have nothing else. Rhett and Link are constantly trying new things while skirting the line between trendy internet things and grumpy old dads making fun of it. It's what keeps people watching and it's why I watch and reccomend this show to EVERYONE.
GMM is the one show that my family watches together. It’s now a nightly routine. I listen to EB while doing chores and it helps make doing them so much better.
I think my absolute favorite episode was the orbeez where Link ended up getting one in his ear. I just laughed so hard, it was the reaction and it came at a time where I needed a good laugh! I like the Dart Game episodes too. And the Will It’s!
The first episode I saw was S11E86, because Mike and Chester from Linkin Park were guests. I’ve watched every day since then. And I ended up going back and watching almost every old episode of GMM, The Mythical Show and Buddy System.
I used to watch GMM pretty much regularly from 2014-16 but haven’t really seen much of their content since. This was a cool trip down memory lane and I enjoyed the behind the scenes dialogue.
I was starting my first day of middle school when I found you guys. Staying up all night nervous and binge watched your videos, this was 2013. I am now a junior in college. The amount of change I dealt with, that you guys helped with has been crazy. At this point, when someone mentions Rhett and Link, I don't think of internet show, I think of members of my community. I'd like to think y'all are the cool neighbors up the road always getting the neighborhood riled up about something.
Hearing all the different and intricate details/specifics that go into the creation of GMM is truly an eye opening discussion. Thank yall so much for everything you have done and all the time, energy and creativity that you have poured into everything you do! Wishing yall nothing but continuous success and happiness, keep up the fantastic work and be your Mythical best! Much love to everyone at Mythical Entertainment! 🙏❤
This episode is so crazy, it takes me back and its made realize that IV also watched the show grow up as I have grown up. Been here since 2014... I remember the crazy interesting random news bits
i have been an inconsistent viewer of gmm since i was in elementary school.. i graduate high school next year... its wild seeing how far rhett and link have gone and how much has changed in a good way
1:16:00 I am one of the very few people in that group lmao. I had just started getting used the format and actually appreciating it lol. Still glad the old format came back tho. Thanks for noticing rhett!
I loved how you guys talked about this. So cool to see how gmm developed over the years and what you guys (the creators) think about it. I've been watching gmm for like 6 or 7 years now. You Both make my day everyday! Love you both and the gmm crew!
Yes, I am that watcher. No matter what, I watch GMM, GMMore and Ear Biscuits. I do feel like you are talking to me, you’re both doing a great job. As well as your staff.
A whole decade. I hope this carries on for many more and I wish you success in all your endeavors. You've certainly become a fixture in my every day life.
