Yeah, the Judd trade did more to change trading than any other that I can remember. Before Judd, players generally didn't "nominate" a club. Now even bit-part players get to nominate.

Gws vs Gold Coast 2013 game i had Leon Cameron in the elevator at metricon stadium he said to sheedy n the assistant coaches we will be right next year when we get Buddy. Everyone thought he was going to Gws.

The money made it a decision where he had to go . It sets him up for life. But he didn't want to leave a club he loved . A club were his all his mates were and club that was on the cusp of 3 peat and huge success.

Yes, I have never forgotten, I may be getting old, but this ranks as No. 1 for me, and there has been a few, but this was unbelievable, unheard of at the time (VFL), when Melbourne's sacred son, Ron Barrassi, went to Carlton as their new Playing Coach.

Damo: "Carey never played again after crashing into the point post". He crashed into the point post in his first season with the crows, he then played another 20 odd games with the club before a neck injury ended his career mid way through his second season.

Dangerfield was coming home to the Surf Coast, that's probably why it wasn't such a big deal. Dangerfield himself always said that the nearest surf beach to Adelaide was at least 100 kilometres away, but at Moggs Creek along the Great Ocean Road he had a surf beach on his back doorstep.

@@PWD65 He did. The AFL had nothing to do with it. The GWS guys later said that when they showed him around their facilities they could see that Dusty's heart wasn't in the move. It was more about his manager trying to extract a better price from the Tigers.

Carey did not decide to leave nor was it a surprise, he was forced out for banging his captain's Mrs, and then had a year off footy before playing with Adelaide. Absolutely does not fit the category of this segment
