this show is so special. getting to see mike and dales friendship and how cautious mike is about not using his rich famous friend dale. and being a part of dales life. senior was special. but i dont think anyone will ever have the impact on nascar that dale jr has. i mean i am a kenseth fan. but i recognize what junior is to the sport. hes just special. i know he has critics but over the years theyve died out and grown to love him. the same thing happened with jimmie johnsons critics. they all love him now.
I thought the one when Dale bought Mike the boat was the best one! Really shows just how much he means to Dale and really shows me how humble Dale really is. Definitely my favorite one.
Who is the Mike guy? Was he like his agent or assistant? Not a huge Nascar fan but love this podcast. Only problem is some of the stuff and ppl I have no idea whats going on
@@GenuineRage That's what I was thinking but wasn't sure. Dude must have been pretty good at his job for Dale Jr to keep him around so long. I like the Mike guy on the Podcast though. I see comments w ppl bitching for him to shut up but I think he's the one that actually keeps the show on track alot of the time. Otherwise they would get into "Strictly racing tech" that alot of listeners would be lost. Obviously Jr is the main talent but I don't think it's as good of a show without Mike. Thx for the answer bud.
@@chadbailey30 you oughta watch the video they uploaded about spencer and bush's little feud. mike's pr moves there (in my opinion) played a big role in winning over the fans after nascar banned him for punching kurt. not that the fans wouldnt have loved that anyways but he did a damn good job making pr moves like that.
JR is the coolest guy on earth, the guy just has a heart of gold . If there’s someone on earth who doesn’t like that guy then they need to seek medical intervention or something !!!
Dale's podcast is so much more than the racing. The stories he shares about his family, cover every aspect of the human experience. Being from the Northwest, the podcast also provides a window into Southern culture, which I appreciate immensely. Also, my thoughts go out to your family, with your grandmother Martha's passing. Thank you, to everyone who works on the podcast!
That was hilarious ! 😂 As a frequent member of the colonoscopy club (surgery included), I will never understand why anyone would not want to be put under during this procedure.
I never like jr much when he was racing. Always a big dale earnhardt fan. However after watching these and getting to know dale jr more, I find him likeable, relatable and down to earth. Dale sr was a terrific race car driver without a doubt but his sons are better men and fathers. And that is whats truly admirable.
I'm 55 years old, I've been a fan of the sport since pre restrictor plates. My beautiful wife Tiffani passed away unexpectedly February 1st 2022 every day,is a gift tomorrow is not promised cherish them they way you know you should. There may co.e a day when you can not & it is living hell
I’m not even that big into nascar anymore I used to go to martinsville in the early 2000’s when I was a kid and loved it and this has gotten me back into it. Love the show and know it’s great for racing.
The Lyndon & Kerry interviews, for me, were both so powerful, but for very different reasons. I went through something very similar to how Kerry grew up, so the whole interview was a little, or actually very painful for me to watch, especially the knock'n on his Dad's door part, for I have gone through a VERY similar experience myself & it's a god awful spot for a 16yr old to stand in 🙏 The Lyndon interview is undoubtedly the most powerful DJD I've watched & quite possibly the single most powerful thing I've EVER watched in my lifetime 🙏 I commented after that episode, that guy's like Lyndon are simply cut from a different cloth (speaking solely to his Military Service) Bless All that serve our Great Country, but it's the one's that Stand & Deliver (like Mr Amick) at crunch time, that keep Old Glory flying Proudly over our Great Nation today! 💪🇺🇸👉 Lyndon Amick ✝️
Dale.. I’m truly sorry for you loss of your uncle Danny and Mamaw.. it’s been a rough couple of years.. I lost my grandfather this year too… stay strong for everyone.. it’s okay to cry.. when my grandfather passed away I felt like a sense of home left with him.. I’m gonna pray for you and your family
Ya know for Jr being Dale Earnhardt Jr, famous, I have never heard a more honest and insightful podcast, from anyone who brings these stories from the heart. You can hear the souls being bared and airs cleared more honestly than anything I've ever heard. If I ever got the chance to share a beer with the man...
I was kind of hoping the time Mammaw was on the show was gonna be on here. I met her one time and she reminded me so much of my own Mammaw. She was so sweet and so warm, but at the same time you knew she was someone that you would never want to make mad or disappoint. She was a great lady.
Two thumbs up for the jellyfish story. This is 100 percent true, if you are stung by a jellyfish, the most readily available ammonia is in urine. Something I learned from watching the wildboyz of all things lol
My deepest condolences on your recent family losses. Martha was an amazing woman!!! I guess we will try to carry on her tradition of cleaning up trash at Dale's statue. After all we were married there. Our thoughts and prayers are with you today as you lay Mamaw to rest.🙏🙏🙏
Wow amazing podcast, enjoyed every one of them, funny as heck. The last one with Kerry was very moving. Yep, I have time agree with Mike. Dale Jr, you have some weird ideas that no one can understand, but who cares. You are a funny, generous, genuine and honourable gentleman sir.
That second to last story blew me away God bless ya brother.. The struggle is realized know I'm in the same place as you were or are.. Thanks for you're service also
Idk if they even see all these comments but this show is absolutely amazing. They’re getting better episode to episode. Can’t wait to see who is on this year! I’d love to see Jr interview Richie Gilmore. Feel like there’s many stories there. Keep hearing his name in the 90s and early 2000s races.
Been listening to all the previous ones since it’s the off season. Love it. I’d love to see the following people on at some point if at all possible: Richie Gilmore, Fatback McSwain, Johnny Benson, Doug Yates, Schrader and Mark Martin again, Steve Hmeil. I’m not telling anyone what to do. Just names that run through my head. Fantastic show. Y’all got better at interviewing, producing, all of it each season. Love it. Thank you.
Look at it like this Larson you won the race that's your job and you did a great job at it congratulations I'm proud of you I had to pick to Win It God bless
Could you imagine being one of those other people at the beach going home… “y’all ain’t gonna believe what I just saw…just saw Dale Earnhardt jr piss on his wife’s foot because of a jelly fish sting” 😂😂😂 jr never disappoints with stories.
Y'all have been the best thing on the internet, TV, and podcasts (this year and many others). I was sure I wrote a letter (snail mail) after Kerry was on, but maybe did not send. I'll look for it again. I so admire you spirit, integrity, goodness, and humor!!! I've also come to like Mike Davis lots more too. Y'all are a great broadcast team, and your production booth is hilarious, too!!! Happy New Year!!!
Here in Western Australia the two best things to help with a jelly fish sting is Vinegar and Urine . No one takes vinegar to the beach so pissing on your yourself a friend, family member or even a stranger is nothing unusual.
Mr Earnhardt your father was a great man people loved him when your dad left the earth I stoped watching racing sorry for lose of your father for you and your family not for the great racer but the dad he was but I want to tell you is to me you are a better person in another way you seem to be so nice humble and a truly great man that your Dad would be proud of However the real father of you God would be even more proud of you. I do not think you will ever see this But I sent it to you just because
Love the reruns of the great memories. Dale Jr I want to say how sorry I am to hear that your Grandma passed. No she's up there with your father and everyone else that has passed. Just think that all of them are looking down watching over you. Keep your thoughts open so you can feel them there. I was just wondering if the Amy's sting was more painful than dude in the booth trying to hold back his laughter. Hope everyone had a good Christmas and I hope everyone has a great 2022 Please be safe in your travels and Take Care
Portugese Man o War are no joke. I had to do the same thing one time. To myself though. The pain is literally unimaginable. They've actually killed people before, getting stung in the water. Legit, Dale Jr is a life saver 😁
Lyndon Amick's story is powerful! All are great. But you need to play the Ward Burton Cat skid loader commercial with Ward and get his reaction. Also plug his wildlife foundation.
As has been said, Kerry really, really does look like his dad. I was always rooting for him to be a successful Cup driver. Seems like a really good guy though. Mellow...
If I ever see someone walking out to the beach with their towels, chairs, and a gallon milk jug full of urine, I'll know they're fellow Dale Jr. Download listeners.
