The best gameplay in ‘24 was the weekend when they nerfed the total control hitting and removed the boost. A controller layout shouldn’t give you a competitive advantage, especially if the advantage is to use the easiest layout.
R3 helps weed out the O/B spammers. A lot of players, such as myself, didn't utilize the reverse hit as much as we should've. Even on D-zone recoveries or partial breakaways with a defender on my back it becomes useful.
The menus in NHL are gawd awful. I would be happy if the only feature NHL 25 has is overhauled menus. If NHL 25 has the same menus as 24 and a million other features, I am not buying. The menus have always been bad, but they got noticeably worse in 24. Anyone who has went to the WoC store, where it feels like the game is about to crash and scrolling the store is so slow knows what I am talking about. Anyone who has played HUT and pressed pause and the menus are not responsive until 10 or 15 seconds after, knows what I am talking about.
One timers from the hash marks and slot should go in, Also Can all goalies not be All-star difficulty, I can't imagine a younger kid or casual older person just chilling with some rookie squad battles and the goalie is patrick roy 2.0
Nerf/revert hips checks, get rid of easy buttons/total controls. Nerf elite edges, please get rid of the auto EA RNG penalties (elbow, cross checking) fix short side for goalies.
Cross checking is not rng. Cross checking is from spamming up on the stick twice in succession. This should stay because it prevents people from spamming the shove check. This was actually one of the best changes they made in 24. Elbowing, sticks breaking, glass breaking is rng and needs to go for online modes though.
As someone with autism and struggles with fast hand eye functioning, its really nice to be able to pull off moves and just have fun. I love Total Control for this reason.
NHL 24 can be summarized with flex moments. They wasted their time and effort to go out of the way to make something that people didn’t like and it eventually got changed back.

as a mainly BAP player, the dump and chase as well as off the wall puck clearing were the biggest problems, despite the devs hyping them up as realistic hockey plays the AI just go for a line change most of the time instead of actually forechecking on a dump and chase, and as for clearing, the opposition just magically catches the puck every time, making penalty kills an absolute nightmare no clue why they thought removing long flip plays entirely was a good idea
How about less interference from the computer? My guys are "tied up" a lot. Also my guys skate into each too much and "tie up' my own team. How about some FREE Power Ups in packs?
EA Canada always think what "THEY" would like to add to the game and not the community. We never ask for a Battle Pass, new celebration animations, or even the dump and chase. It's like a 99% EA wants and 1% what the community wants. I get that EA Canada wants to add things that they want, but if its for a game like Skyrim or a game that the company makes. But hockey is played by millions around the world and is community driven, so EA Canada needs to actually needs to 95-98% listen to the community or even bring on some people from the community to actually make the games.
On Total Controls. I'd revert all of it except 1 thing. The new protect puck is nice and intuitive. The must change is move reverse hit off R3. I didn't use the button dekes. As a defenseman, another annoying button was triangle on PS5. When I want to stick lift, but maybe get the puck first, I start doing a michigan. Also, you could no longer protect against the boards.

In Hut, It’s way too easy when you begin to play to get to a descent team. The fun in Hut is to be excited when you pack 82 mid players and being happy of it. The players are getting too fast and it’s boring when 90+ OVR players get in the game. I feel like it’s not the skills anymore, it’s just who’s got fastest cards will be the winner. So, it’s every year my favorite game but for only 2 months. It’s too much a pay to win game mode, maybe they should do an other online mode that is competitive other than online versus…
This is why I have a massive issue with the EA content team. How can you possibly say that the full pressure system is the biggest year to year change we’ve had ever? Skill stick, physics in 12, skating in 13, hitting physics in 14 all had much bigger and better impacts on the game. The skating change in 19 that still negatively impacts the game, was a bigger change. It just all feels like non stop PR talk from you guys.
This is coming from someone who exclusivly plays EASHL. I was cautiously excited for the changes when the trailer came out, but... Pressure system went from massivly OP, to nerffed into oblivion. I like the concept of it, but I don't know how you balance it enough. They talked in the trailer about ppl who cycle get rewarded, but then that becomes complaints of "Ozone ragging". Now it's just about volume shooting. New goalie controlls broke human G's. Icon and one touch passing sounded great, but are rarely ever used. I don't mind the new hitting when it works, but I feel like it suffers from the same, if not more issues than the old way

I’d be okay with more one timer goals again, if they Increase puck interceptions by a lot. I mean it needs to be at the point where unless the lane is wide open, you need to saucer pass to get a pass through.
I preferred to have pressure system in the middle and the goalie fatigue should be there as well, but we need chemistry system or something like that so we could use lower rating cards. And the AI needs to be better.
Fullpressure first month was unplayable, I like it more how its now. but please i hope the hits is way more nerfed to NHL25, it was too many hits in one Game, i want NHL20 Gameplay
I really like the pressure system...It was alil too much at first but I wish it was more of a middle ground, maybe the 2nd nerf was perfect for me. The pressure system should be a big deal and punish you, that's the point. Honestly I don't know how this would work but I wish there was a slider so everyone could control to preference. Then online maybe it'd just be set at 5/10.
Need one timers back, if I set up an open onetimer in the slot it should go in, would much rather that than low far side shots, atleast onetimers look cool when you score them. Hate the move to arcade style gameplay, I think there should be a mode you can play where is arcade style but it should not be the main gameplay. I like that hitting got better but in combination with total control it was to easy to land huge hits, hitting needs to he reduced but not totally nerfed. I hate total controls so much. Agree with icon passing, liked it on the breakout but wasn’t really useable in zone, game moves to quick.

I’m in the minority but I love the way one-timers are now. You’re player actually has to be open and in a realistic proximity to the net as opposed to playing like a rat and running to the corner, waiting for the defensive AI to glitch or go to sleep after puck ragging. As I said tho, I’m in the minority because the majority of players play the glitch goal non hockey way.
@@Bertza00 yeah, just as in real hockey the player with puck circles the corner 100% of the time in the offensive zone, doesn’t pass and the weak side defender just goes clueless and leaves his man unattended after about 5 secs for the 20th time in the game and gives up a one timer on every pass. Yeah, real hockey where teams get 10 to 20 one times a game that should go in 🤦♂️

But I don't because i just want to have fun. I seriously think that the game decides if you're gonna win or lose. 2nd. I like the one button decks. Because at least I can't blame my controller. 3rd. I Used to be a fantastic goalie years ago. In 6vs6. There was times I would play against Between the Pipes. Goalie controls back then were way better to control.

So I will just say no sleeps love your videos love your takes, but I think your video of you watching things back it kind of just highlights and bold letters. The way EA games have been for years. They say they are adding all this flashy crap and honestly, none of this stuff aged well that we thought oh, this is gonna be really nice but it ends up not being nice. I’m at the one time conversation at 22 minutes and 40 seconds and as much as I they swork like I guess it’s a double sword you don’t want them to be overpowered again that’s definitely not something that’s good. I’m speaking of inconsistency. The hitting became very inconsistent. In my opinion not only does it get you way too many pens, but they said that they were going to make changes to hitting like less interference calls in front of the net and then that never happened And then they nerved reverse hitting because people were just spamming it what they should’ve done is reverse hitting as an Factor and not make it so awkward to use and the constant theme of the video is the same thing about NHL for years is dialling things back putting the mechanics back to the way they were it just ruins the game and makes the game unplayable and not fun
They need to eliminate X-Factor abilities, god awful goalie slipped muffin goals, eliminate the 1 button dekes (1 hand tucks etc), make online versus cross platform kuz HUT is unplayable if you don’t dedicate your life to it (this is from a Division 2 player who can’t compete with other teams kuz they are too far superior in attributes) and also STOP making multiple 99 cards kuz ain’t no way a random mediocre player for example Matt Dumba is maxed out with the likes of Lemieux, McDavid, Gretzky etc. Ok rant over
My list: U use the most time of HUT. BUT HUT should be a free download. So u guys on youtube could play it like fortnite...let the realism hockey to the game.. - gameplay has to be fixed, the animations are so glitched. - tv presentation not these generate stuff - cut HUT we dont need it! - delete all these silly x-factors. We have seen it.. and ready to move on - delete the pressure clock - new commentary team or maybe two pair Give back the controllee setup we had in 2023.. dont like the new button setup... miss puck protect on x.. Let us play all modes with friends....like tournament, season, franchise mode, spengler cup.. not just offline These modes would be popular if possible to connect with others.. - eashl . Its not on a good place henreek!! Come on!! Loading time, no players in the room. The same generic cpu players.. gameplay is sluggish as hell. Own goals, glitch goals. This mode need to be renewed or removed. Copy paste as in ea fc the co-op season mode... Give us the chance to edit the cpu players names. Or we can put in real players to give us some realism.. From online perspectiv the nhl game doesnt need licencing. Its just fantasy hockey... HUT fantasy, eashl fantasy... but no mode beside VS online where u actually can use real teams and players..catastrophic.. Franchise.. get the bugs away with salary and contracts. Retired numbers. Real coaches in the franchise.möde would be cool. Agree with the stats and statistics.. should be all time.lists.. they hopefully keep these.
