Gotta do what you gotta do. We'd all like it to be the most amazing job we ever did. That is almost impossible nowadays. Customers don't want to pay us for it usually. You did what you had to do within the confines of the customers budget. Bravo Adrian

Agreed, Jason. Most people don't take the time to do half the shit Adrian did here. This is a great, real-world repair

Don't get me started on the budgets 😂 I'm not working for free either. I actually have a follow up video for some of those issues with the money side

Thanks Steve, like I said I could have just dropped a blob of solder and turned a blind eye 😂

You have to do what you have to do. You’re not always going to do everything exactly right all the time. Main thing is you got it back up and running. Dude I feel for ya. When my son was smaller he was all the time getting me sick. Great video brother.

😂 burn the paint, "That's how you know you got it." Sometimes it's better to leave some things alone. Especially in your area, if it's that rusted, don't touch it. I have found that sometimes you are punished for trying to do things perfectly. Consequences rarely come Lubed. 😆

Thanks guys, a little ugliness doesn't affect the system 😂

The red HVAC ones are HVAC Tactical but he's not making them anymore. I have my skull ones on my website and I might do other designs

If the system is MT you could have added a service port on low side at condenser.2 cents.

Of course, but I didn't have the right fitting to add one and after that valve broke I decided just to get it going for now

@@ReliableHVACR We use an awl to make a 1/8 hole on the suction line, and sweat in a 1/8 valve.

I literally just started a job with a company that has been doing a horrible job maintaining BARD units and I'm primarily dealing with filthy coils and low charge issues. The company has the most intense safety and company policy program in place yet they aren't providing me the things I need to execute. I've been forced to use some of my own gear despite the company having a corporate policy of supplying all tools. I have a really good leak detector yet I haven't been able to ID a single leak. I don't know anything about any of the maintenance history on any of these units which is wild considering how rigid they are regarding following procedures. I suspect some charge issues are attempts to control head pressure because coil conditions are that bad but there have got to be leaks I can't locate with my Elitech. I've already requested being issued a fluorescent dye setup because it is a step in their leak detection procedure. Is it considered bad practice to rely more heavily on oil dyes and UV lamps?

It's usually just a last resort, I've had to use it when nothing else is picking up the leak

That’s the only way I know I got it, when the paint is burnt 🫡 💪 😂
