Japan's a train-centric country, obviously there's gonna be no shortage of train-related games and a few other things. That said, never send your preteen and teen daughters alone on a packed train in Japan, it's not a matter of 'if' they get molested, but a matter of 'when' and 'how often'.
Platform 8 would be at least the third “I Spy” style game (counting Observation Duty 6) taking place on a train in the past year or so. Keep in mind that Platform 8 and Chilla’s Shinkansen 0 were very likely in development during the same timeframe, so I find it doubtful that either of the devs were aware of any similarities until announcements/trailers were released. I’ve enjoyed seeing these different creative forces of horror work on the same concept and yet each of the experiences they come up with is almost entirely unique.
