Looking for Relics on Sandy Hook

This timely episode comes right from today's headlines, literally!
Potentially live ammunition has once again washed up on a beach at Sandy Hook. As a result, the National Park Service has blocked off the area and will close the Sandy Hook temporarily on Saturday (January 7, 2017) from 5am to approximately 1pm.
In this never-before-seen episode (Part 15) of the Story of Sandy Hook, the Mayor of Middletown (also an archaeologist), explains his unique experience looking for relics on Sandy Hook which included finding unexploded shells fired from the proving ground which was closed by 1919.
According to Daphne Yun, spokesperson for Gateway National Recreation Area (which includes Sandy Hook), a visitor to the park found the unexploded ordnance at Beach F, also known as Fishing Beach, just a few days ago.
Bomb disposal crews from Naval Weapons Station will come on Saturday to deal with the potential explosive shells.
