Regarding the stereo linking, it is possible to stereo link the units internally, but this involves drilling a hole through the backplate. Make sure to ask Pynamic about this!
If you interested in compessor curve (and viewers want to see that). Use in the next video Plugin Doctor on hardware to capture the compression curve and THD. It is not DMCA.
This is something we can do for clients who buy 2 units and request the stereo link. We provide the cable and the modifications before shipping :) - Pynamic
Thanks for the review of my baby :) I have some more examples of what the Pynamic can do on my RU-vid channel, as well as some stuff about my SSL console if anyone is interested. Enjoy!
I'll have to keep it 100% with you. Shipping is not the issue when it comes to such small equipment worth 1200€ (and you can probably still sell as B-Stock for 1000€ when it's used). I checked. Sending one 3kg package (I made it heavier than it is, for demonstration purposes) from Germany (next to Netherlands) to Australia costs 62,16 € and is insured up to 500€. Thus, he could have them shipped from Germany to Australia for 124,30€ while having 1000€ covered by insurance. Let's make it 150€ for someone to pick them and pack them up. Thus, even if he sold these units for only 400€ a piece afterwards, he'd still make profit. And business is about profit. Please don't fool yourself! The reason people don't ask for them back, is for you to have them in your studio!
Been waiting on something like this to come out. When I use to be a Waves user the Kramer Pie was my favorite compressor and at the time their best sounding compressor they made (IMO).
Nice - if anyone wants a free emulation, or estimation, of this in plugin form, Chris from Airwindows does a plugin called PyeWacket, with which I have had a lot of fun using on acoustic drums in the past, in some ways I prefer it to the Waves emulation. - love to ALL, feel no hate
it would be pretty easy to mod the output gain with a basic amp (OR, probably easier, mod the bypass, add a resistor so bypass also acts as a DIM switch, so you can A/B properly)
almost bought one off reverb for 700 usd but didnt when i realized it was a mono unit. super cool seeming device but i just did not hqve 1400 to drop 😅
Totally unrelated, but are you planning to tuck into Reaper 7 anytime soon? I just imaged my OS drive in case I need to roll-back, but I can't wait to check it out.
@@Whiteseastudio That's super encouraging. I really wouldn't expect any template-breaking changes from such a dedicated and focused/responsive team, but it's good to know.
You cannot compare build quality between made in germany equipment and something made in USA. I've stopped buying anything made in USA for the reason that they build thing of lower quality.
Video is fantastic. Review is stellar as all your videos and work are thorough…. I am sad to say I was a thumbs down click. First my apologies if I offend any one. Not my intention ,, what so ever. The thumbs down is based on the product. Pro’s vs con’s ….. Obviously lots of room for improvement, with that price sticker. No offense , just keep improving on the product
