@@Cj56000lol you definitely don't know what you're talking about, Belle Glade wasn't even a city in the slavery days... No one lived in South Florida like that but Indians back then..😂😂😂
As a Florida resident, I can confirm this area is one of the most run down places I’ve ever seen in person. In fact, everything around Lake Okeechobee is extremely seedy.
I was born and raised here. I'm proud of where i come from. What i wonder is why don't they ever go into the really nice neighborhoods here. My family had the FIRST two story home built in Belle Glade. Its sickening to me that when people do these videos, it's always the SAME circle they drive in. Go into the other parts of Belle Glade, too. Every city or town has a downtrodden area. There's so much love and unity in Belle Glade, and believe it or not, lots of money. The leadership is more than likely the cause of certain areas looking this way. But when i tell you this is my hometown and i LOVE IT, that's exactly what i mean. Not to mention, we've had more NFL players come out of this town than you may know. I don't care how long you stay away, whenever you go back to visit, it's always a good time!! I know this area and growing up we called it, "up the streets". I hate the fact that someone is making my home town look as if it only consists of what is in this video for likes and views.
Exactly, I noticed he circled around same blocks… made me wonder his intentions but I see now. Dudes driving around like a weirdo filming ppl in his car to exploit them as a down trodden sad place smh
@@cartierandfriends6083I was actually surprised that there wasn’t a ton of trash everywhere. Can’t say the same for some of the areas here. Looks like a bomb went off.
I have driven through the same streets numerous times back in the day. Poor area but some of the nicest people you will ever meet on planet earth!! Most Haitians so this is a UPGRADE to them trust me when i say that.
@@mixtapemania6769Im from DR, and even though it’s true that there are some rough areas and slums in DR, I can tell you that there are also a lot nice looking neighborhoods and places in DR, I’m from Santo Domingo and I’m from one of those nice looking places Im telling you about, so don’t generalize
Estoy suscrito a tu Canal.
Low income or high income, there's no excuse to not use a trash can that's available right there ! I was raised poor but doesn't mean you have to live in a pig sty
I have gone through that town many times. It's a sugar mill workers town. The people there are very nice. Maybe big cities folks could learn from these peoples.
@@MrTtaakk the bleakness, the lack of work, the surroundings that appear to look 3rd world. I’m not a sheltered person but I’ve never seen a place like this & I love this channel for teaching me so much.
@@50BelowZo My family is from Kingston. Some of the 2-storey buildings in Belle Glade resemble Kingston somewhat, but the apartment blocks with the long balconies are not a Kingston thing.
It was true in 1996 the first time I went there, it's true today. As you drive thru Belle Glade, you ponder which Caribbean nation you found yourself in. Cuba? No, too nice. Maybe DR, could be one of the better areas of Haiti. I have traveled to 47 states, there is no city in America that compares to Belle Glade. It's like you are in a movie or some kind of weird theme park as you drive thru.
It looks nothing like DR, the closest American territory that may at times resembles DR is Puerto Rico, we share the same architecture, so if you ever find yourself in a Puerto Rican or Dominican neighborhood, you may spot no differences between the two.
Nobody ponders anything. And apparently you haven't traveled well enough. There are plenty of rural run down areas in the US. Caryville FL looks like a flashback out of the 1930s. While rural Mississippi, the houses looking like their falling dwn.
@@denisebycapricorn47 states isn't enough for you? If it has a traffic light in the USA, I have probably been there at least once. Look up Ponder, TX. You haven't been there, but I have.
Looks like New Orleans also. If you want to see a Florida area that looks like the Florida Keys at half the cost drive Banana River drive on Merritt Island. Close to everything.
Idk what caribbean island you been too but it don't look run down like this. I am west Indian and I been to JA, Grenada, st.vincent, Barbados. We take care of our place. Some might be poor but clean.
@@denisebycapricorn Ooh, I don't know.... You are not patient enough, the video is way too short! If the vlogger had hung about a bit more, he would have come across the all too familiar skid row "the benchmark of all Uncle Sam's cities "!! They eat on the ground outside too, just next to the manhole 🕳️ they've just pooped in ! Serious degradation!! 👊🏾🇳🇬👊🏾🇳🇬!!
It’s not ‘Caucasian- free’. Learn the history of this area. There are white, Florida born residents that live in Belle glade. That area is part farm land. Sugar cane and other crops have been harvested there. A lot of the residents - black, white, Hispanic - have roots in the farming industry. This video just takes you through some parts of the area.
As a Jamaican from Mandeville. I would never want to live there. I can imagine how much crime and drug infested it is. It looks like some parts of New Orleans.
@@truebetold65I was stationed in the PNW years ago and visited quite frequently, however I don’t get why people say it’s a nice city. I think it’s ugly and boring. Victoria was cool though.
@@niavellir7408 yeah if like getting shot at and getting caught in random gunfire then i guess you can live in Belle Glades if you call that living and the city is super small so your chances of getting shot or seeing ppl getting killed are extremely high
I know your mother taught you to hate people who don't look like you like she does, but there are good and bad people of all races, ethnicities, etc. You're probably not wanted where you live.
Diversity has nothing to do with it. Sugar companies like Florida Crystals lure uneducated peasants with offers of low paying jobs, which those peasants are eternally grateful to have. While you pay unnaturally low prices for your food products that contain the sugar these "diversity" peasants harvest. Blame obese Americans and corporations who are unwilling to pay these people a living wage. Diversity has sh*t to do with it. Except maybe to your satisfaction.
Cost of living in Florida has always been higher than anything that the pay can compare to, and a ton of the state outside of the coastal cities look like this, theres several white towns ,especially in North Florida that are very run down and trailer parks, with not much economy, these areas have no economy. this is literally BELLE GLADE , another poor tiny town in the interior of Florida, theres lots of them. You dont know anything about Florida or your own country, you'll make the most uneducated assumption based on your own prejudice and bad perception because you cant bother to educate yourself on the "how?" of some of these places that you just make up your own reason "why" i swear you racists just love to have contest on how uneducated you can be. Are you actually from Florida or the USA?? Those are all the facts for you but youll ignore them because it makes you happier being wrong.
I doubt it. I think after the late 1960’s AA’s slowly moved out. It culturally seems like an heavily Caribbean immigrant community and their descendants.
WOW!! The Caribbean immigrants brought their way of living to Bell Glade. This is shameful and black people should be embarrassed but we are not. The real sad part is the children who have to grow in these ratchet environments.
@@floridaroadways depends how you look at it I guess . I hate being stuck in one spot for long periods and I hate paying rent and not ever owning what I'm renting . I own my bus and the fuel lets me see places I never would if I was stuck renting . In the last 4 years I've seen 26 states and been coast to coast . That's a lil over 30k in savings not paying rent .
No it’s horrible … worst place in the world … run n tell your straight n narrow friends so they skip here when looking for a new place to coloniz.. I mean gentrify
Actually this area is HEAVILY scouted and recruited by universities. Many pro ball players come from this city. This is a hot spot for Florida, FSU and Miami and no I'm not kidding..
This area reminds me of a building that I used to live in called Crawford building in Immokalee Florida. When I was little it was overrun with Haitians later on and we moved
I lived in that area and I can tell you this much going back to the 60s it wasn't that way what it is now and there's a lot more places like this all over the country and more coming the higher the Apartments rental go the more you will see this
Hood Survival Tip: If you see roosters just causally rooming the Streets , Flee the area immediately if you’re not from there, don’t ask me about the logic behind that , Just believe me this one time 🫡
At 7:47 there is both about 15 bags of trash piled up on a 2nd story balcony, and what looks to be a completely empty dumpster in the same exact frame. Literally why "government programs" are a waste. Spend a billion dollars improving this neighborhood and it would be a dump again in 6 months tops.
