I have heard this left and right handed knitter used so many times, I am right handed but according to this reference I would be considered a left handed knitter. I would prefer to hear it phrased as: If you prefer to going to the right or the left while knitting. To me it would confuse or make a right or left handed person think they had to go in a certain direction.

Can you do this pattern using a medium worsted weight yarn? I love hats with brims and also I have a friend who does too. This pattern is the first one for the loom that I found. I haven't seen any before! Thank You so much for sharing this! 💙

Loved knitting thus hat and also loved all your detailed instructions. My question is curling. I found the brim of my hat and around edges at bottom. How do you prevent this?

I’m new to loom knitting (and any kind of knitting). I have questions about sizing. Standard size hats are often far too big for me. How does one ensure proper sizing? It would be so disappointing to put in the effort for a hat that didn’t fit. 😊

This may be a silly question! I'm new to this and I just became a member and I joined your VIP. I see the pattern but is there a way to print it? I have 2 questions. First one is can I use my cinderwood loom 48 pegs w/ 5/8 gauge to make this hat. The second question: Are the pegs on the KB looms like normal or are they like those nasty Boye ones. I hate the Boye looms because of the nasty catch under each peg. I started following along with you on my cinderwood loom using one strand just like we're doing. By the time I had 6 rows, it looks like I barely did 2 rows while yours look like you had done 8 rows. So, what is the difference? I was using a bulky weight 6.

Irish Red Rose yes you can use the CinDWood loom. All the KB looms are NOT like that. I agree with you the Boye pegs can be frustrating for sure. For the other part be sure to keep your tension loose. What type of knit stitch are you using?

You can repeat that 5 row repeat to get one more of the banded sections. That would make it more slouchy.

Will this pattern show up if you don't use a solid color yarn?

Veola Sutherland you could use a multi-colored yarn or a color changing yarn. However I’d suggest keeping the bobble section to one color. That would give it a nice break up to keep that style of hat evident and no risk of a bobble being half colored and looking odd. The banded look at top may look a bit different though.

It is not necessary. Follow the video with the pattern instructions off to the side. Listen/watch. pause video and do the row, repeat as indicated, then play next part.
