Video footage taken at the 4th Annual LBEMC Horse Health Fair in May 2016, Placer County, California.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Dr. Langdon Fielding grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and obtained his veterinary degree from the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation, he did an internship at Texas A&M University focusing on large animal medicine and surgery. At the end of his internship, he returned to California and began practicing at Loomis Basin Veterinary Center.
Langdon works primarily in the hospital, but he occasionally ventures out in an ambulatory vehicle. His primary interest is in emergency medicine on the cases that are housed at the clinic. Dr. Fielding completed a strenuous course of additional training and testing and was admitted to the American College of Veterinary Emergency/Critical Care.
ABOUT LBEMC
Conveniently located in the community of Penryn, California, just northeast of Sacramento, LBEMC offers a practice unique to the area. With the exception of the U.C. Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, LBEMC is the only facility in Northern California offering hospitalization, surgery and intensive care for horses. The original Loomis Basin Veterinary Clinic was established in 1975 for both farm and companion animals. In 1991, the large animal clinic was established as an independent practice in order to improve patient care by focusing services primarily on horses. With the equine hospital opened in 2004, the practice was officially renamed Loomis Basin Equine Medical Center in 2005.
Today, LBEMC doctors bring a combination of specialty training focusing on continuing education, energy, and a commitment to quality health care for horses. Associate doctors are selected for their high professional standards, humanitarian spirit, and specific interest in horses.
