A crazy day of riding some brutal terrain. The ride around Loon Lake and Spider Lake is only about 16.5 miles, but it's a really challenging 16.5 miles. There is no flow and very few sections that you can breeze through. Be sure to bring plenty of snacks and water for this amazing adventure. Be prepared for mechanical problems as well. Very easy place to bend a derailleur hanger from all the rocks. We journeyed over to the Rubicon Jeep Trail and encountered several jeeps and off road vehicles. Many of them called us crazy and a few offered us some beer. If you want a challenge with some scenery. Loon Lake may just be what you are looking for. It took us about 5.25 hours to get all the way around and back to our vehicles.
A BIT ABOUT ME: Not good with jumps, corners, and not very fast. As I continue to try and improve I find myself becoming more and more passionate about riding and wish I could do this every day. I watched many others start a MTB RU-vid channel and thought it would be fun to start my own. All of them are really good riders and do an amazing job giving out information about trails, gear, and tips. I would like to think I could help review trails that aren’t as well known to encourage more bike traffic. There channels really motivated me to move forward and put my own little twist on trail rides and mountain biking. We will see how long I will enjoy this hobby. In the meantime, hopefully I will inspire people to get out and ride and find people to share my adventures with.
