Idk maybe call me biased but I think Choerry should rank a little higher 😔 not only is she a good dancer, but she’s charismatic AND she’s choreographed a few of their dances
The butterfly and the dance covers made me realize how good of a dancer choerry is. Not saying that she was never a good dancer, but she gained confidence and was able to show what she could do. Heck, she’s even labeled as one of the choreographers on the XX album. She already good and she’s just going to keep improving.
Choerry’s confidence has improved a lot even though she still lacks a bit and her performances during Butterfly era is how she ended up being my ult bias

I’ve always considered Jinsoul to be an average dancer, but a lot of the time fellow orbits say she is lead/main dancer material. I’m glad someone agrees with me lol

I've talked to an ex-dancer and now hip hop teacher and this is his ranking (that I agree with btw) 1) yves (obviously) 2) Kim lip (if Yves is 1 Kim lip is 1.5) 3) heejin (very sharp and charismatic but she could work more on technique) 4) Olivia hye (raw talent, really good but needs to work on technique) 5) choerry (really fast learned and really talented, needs to work a bit on technique and sharpness) 6) go won (as you've said she's light on her feet and really energetic, however even tho she shined in yyxy era her facial expressions are lacking ot12 when she's not center) 7) hyunjin (good but she needs to work on energy, sharpness and facials) (from now on it's slightly different) 8) vivi (she's got a fierce expression, she improved massively since ++ era and she became quite sharp, also the really like her popping but I'm not an expert so) 9) yeojin (really good when she dances to other's songs, lacks versatility and her height doesn't make her stand out) 10) jinsoul (she was better in oec era but she's quite bad when I look at recent fancams so I can't put her higher) 11) chuu (she's really energetic but she lacks versatility and facials in darker concepts) 12) haseul (she improved so much and I'm so proud of her but her dancing is still not the best)
This is what I thought about ViVi's facial expression. It's already okay. Asking for more is too much. For someone who doesn't know ViVi, they really can't tell that her face has expression. They think she lacks but really. Just by looking at her eyes I can already tell that she's into the performance. Or may it's just me but really.
I’d say Kim Lip has Seulgi syndrome. She seems to not have much flexibilty whether it’s her body type or not, she isn’t as flexible. But aside from that, she is super precise and clean her technique is good and he presence and energy are amazing

Idk how i feel about hyunjin being that low, theres a reason shes always in the front for the dance breaks, butterfly, favorite and colors. She goes so hard during colors dance break, its when i realized she was really good at dancing but she does lack facial expression i can admit
Idk but whenever I see HyunJin dance (center or any front spot) the energy or the intensity of their performance are going down. Watch their cover dances in slowmo you can clearly see her offbeat moves and lame expressions same with some live performances.
The thing is that she relies a lot on just one expression. love4eva is the only song where she changes that a bit. But I don't really care because that expression alone is so good.
I personally don’t think there is a bad dancer in Loona they’ve all improved a lot since pre debut but Choerry and Olivia are my favourite performers they always catch my attention whenever I watch their performances and they have so much charisma while performing. They both killed me during the Cherry bomb and fire covers especially Choerry and their next comeback is anything like those covers then I think Choerry will shine the most

For me she's minimum an 8 for sure! And I would like to express my opinion as a dancer (I've been dancing since a very young age): 01) *Yves:* The elegance Yves' puts on her dancing is really disturbing. She knows how to be powerful but graceful at the same time. She dances to new and then she blows up a song like Cherry Bomb... Just AMAZING. 02) *HeeJin:* Since HeeJin killed me with her Greedy cam I will always say she's the second BEST Dancer in LOON∆! She's versatile and her expressions are the best! 03) *Kim Lip:* She's sexy even when she dances to Hi High. That's the perfect word to describe her dancing. She makes every move look relaxed and easy. She shines the most in choreographies like Eclipse and Butterfly (slower tempo) 04) *Olivia Hye:* Just one word: WOLF. She's fierce on stage and her moves are sharp and energetic. Her charisma glows and I think her facial expressions are on point 😊 05) *Choerry:* I think she has one of my favorite type of dancing: facial expressions, charisma, technique, ability to choreograph, energy... I think she's really underrated and underestimated. She sincerely kills it at any concept and any cover she has done 🤩🤩 06) *Go Won:* Our doll is very petit and slim but she knows how to dance powerfully when she needs to. I think she's on a similar level with HyunJin but Go Won always look like she's giving her everything on the stage: facial expressions, charisma, technique... She has all of that but for me she's stiff sometimes while she dances and that makes her look awkward doing some moves (her EXID cover). I think perfect dances for her were Love4Eva & Hi High. 07) *HyunJin:* The case of HyunJin is really weird. I think she's a really really good dancer (covers like Cherry Bomb or Fire) but on stage she lacks something. She's stiff and that makes her moves look unfinished and unprecise. When she tries hard though she's an incredible dancer (Just Dance on Mixnine) and her facial expressions sometimes Kill me (Hi High stages). 08) *YeoJin:* Uri one & only Maknae will be probably as good as Yves or HeeJin. She dances with a lot of energy and even if she's a lentil bean, she matches cute and harder concepts. Right now she hasn't shown yet all her potential and I know we'll die when she shows It😈 09) *JinSoul:* Baby Betta Fish is really a pro on making facial expressions. She's fierce when she has to be (Colors performance) or really bright (Girl Front). I agree that her dancing skill is average but she compliments that with her stage presence and charisma. For sure one of the most charismatic members😊 10) *Chuu:* She's perfect for cute concepts! I agree with your opinion, she matches cute concepts so much and gives all of her energy on stage but she isn't that comfortable on slow and sexy dances. Her dancing on cute songs is good though😍 11) *ViVi:* I don't know why but I really enjoy how ViVi dances and mostly in that video of "Everyday I Love You" performance. She's really soft and relaxed while dancing and she seems confident eventhough it's true she's expressionless most of the time. She has a very strong charisma on stage though, she almost killed me in Colors stage. 12) *HaSeul:* I think it's obvious she's LOON∆'s worst dancer. I think she doesn't feel comfortable dancing and she lacks charisma and stage presence. Her facial expressions aren't amazing either. Of course she's a very impressive Main Vocal!
I think haseul dances just fine. I mean even though it's not super mindblowing, her dancing is adequate. Maybe she lacks of energy, that's why i believe she didn't get many singing part in loona's main tracks because she tend to run out of stamina to sing while dancing.
@@owllip773 HaSeul has improved a lot in dancing but compared to everyone she's not as comfortable as them dancing on stage. I don't think she has a problem on being stable at all, her voice is gorgeous & stable
I think Hyunjin is a better dancer than gowon. Hyunjin looks like she has better technique and sharpness but that’s just my opinion i guess...Also i’m not choerry biased but she needs to be so much higher on that list. She’s a really good dancer with a ton of energy on stage.
hyunjin definitely has one of the best techniques in loona, but that's not all need to be a dancer. you need artistic talent, stage presence, energy, choreographing skills.. gowon has most of that while hyunjin doesn't.
Kim Lip is one of the best lead dancers in kpop. She shows great isolations and body control. Love how natural she amazing natural flows with the music .
Idk if Kim Lip is the best Dancer or not but she’s really my favorite and I’m so in love with her stage presence.. 💗 & tbh I thought that she will debut as a main dancer along with Yves.
in my opinion i really think choerry should be at fourth place, she's an amazing dancer, an amazing choreographer and also has great facial expressions (honestly better than hyejoo and gowon). btw i really love your videos!

I strongly agree with the Top 3. I noticed those 3 potentials since "FAVORITE". Ever since then, I knew they'd be the top 3 dancers of LOONA. But all the members are almost equally good. It's rare to find.
This proves i know nothing about dance lmao, i though Choerry and Hyunjin would be 3rd and 4th just below Yves and Heejin but maybe its just my personal bias towards them both lmao
choerry definitely has potential to be the 4th. not sure about hyunjin, but i was shocked she was this low. she's a good dancer but overall i agree what was said about facial expressions & stage presence. i do noticed that it comes and goes, even when she's center. i love sm though so i don't mind T_T

im the one who requested this vid hehe overall i really agree with this video and im glad someone appreciates gowons dancing skills😭 only thing i would rank differently is that i would put choerry a little higher because i thinke she always shows great stage presence for different concepts (odd eye circle, hi high era and cherry bomb cover for example)
I feel like gowon and Choerry would be higher than Olivia Hye- I feel like Olivia lacks in concepts that aren’t sexy or girl crush and doesn’t always have great stage presence. Gowon and Choerry are the same level (Gowon might be a little better than Choerry) and they’re both amazing with any concept.

Anime Addict101 olivias face is not that expressive but she a very distinctive dancing style in my opinion that evokes a lot of personality. cant quite put my finger on what she does but look at the last minute of the cherry bomb cover: she definitely has something that makes her stand out.

I disagree with Hyunjin’s spot, she’s good when she wants to be, but at other times she looks so bored and looks kinda lazy on stage. Go Won and Choerry on the other hand, are extremely consistent dancers. Throughout the whole song they’ll give it their all, and have great stage presence. Being consistent does matter when it comes to dancing, for example; Irene from red velvet. Same situation.

I feel like JinSoul should be a lil bit higher and the main reason people rate her dancing skill low is because Singing In The Rain didn’t have the best choreo so there wasn’t much she could do with it :(

@@Domi-uu9rl Exactly. Since she's such a good performer, it's hard to notice her lacking ability on dancing. She's still pretty fine anyways, the thing is that a lot of LOONA's members are main/lead dancer material.
Loona is very skilled in dance as a group so even though I agree Jinsoul is an amazing dancer, there are even better dancers in the group. But I might have put Jinsoul above Hyunjin..
I feel like choerrys top 5 tbh. She has great facial expressions, lots of energy, fast learner, sharpness, even makes choreo, shes just such an all rounder like thats really my baby girl 😢😢💖
I think Choerry and Olivia are underrated for dance and Heejin is overrated (Gowon too tbh). Like if you take the dance covers they did Olivia and Choerry were waaaay above the others and you could see how good they were. Heejin just has great expressions and is the center, she's good but not better than them. Coming from a Vivi/Yves biased. + Vivi was the first main dancer, the creator should seeks more videos of them dancing then just fancams of their solos (most solos have non existent choreos) and shows stages fancams since half of the members aren't given the chance to show anything since they're always at the back.
Heejin is good, I’d say Kim Lip is a bit overrated for her dancing, I don’t think she’s second best. Gowon is definitely not overrated, Orbits don’t even see her as part of the dance line. Anyways your right, Olivia, Choerry, and Gowon are underrated dancers. Olivia is better than Kim Lip, and Gowon is better than Hyunjin, Choerry is definitely top 5. I don’t get why some think Lip is better than Hyejoo because Olivia is much better at executing fast paced choreos and can also do slow sexy choreo like Lip.
listen, rank jinsoul anywhere you want, but give her credit for being the 2nd best facial expression in Loona behind heejin, look at girl front, she shines the best (expression wise) out of 3, also in favOriTe.
Yves 1st for sure. Heejin 2nd. I would tie Olivia and Kim Lip on 3rd and give Choerry 4th. I think Gowon and Hyunjin are at a similar level, tbh. The rest of the girls need to improve on some stuff but I can say there is no real bad dancer in LOONA. Please stan. :)

In terms of your average kpop idol, they’re all exceptional dancers! You’re right that Yves is and will always be the Main Dancer for a reason. She really puts her heart and soul into dance, she adapts to the concept, she focuses on her facial expressions and dances beautifully
Mine : 1. Yves ( obviously) 2. Heejin ( her look very cute but her style is sexy, she's the best performer) 3. Kimlip ( powerful movement, overall can be main dancer cuz she very standout dancer) 4. Olivia ( same level with Kimlip but lacks facial expressions, very flexible) 5. Gowon ( she has the most dance train when she was a trainer so she still potential but maybe we don't know) 6. Choerry ( she fits with almost all concept, overall great dancer) 7. Hyunjin ( pretty stiff but overall good dancer) 8. Yeojin ( Young,flesh and multi of energy 9. Chuu ( fits with cute concept, very rhythm) 10. Jinsoul ( great facial expressions but lacks technique) 11. Vivi ( nice movement but lacks energy) 12. Haseul ( hmm... She needs more train)
Choerry didnt shine so much in terms of dance on their stages, but in their boy group covers it becomes shockingly clear how good she is versus most of the others
the fact even the lowest ranked members better than some other idols in bigger groups..they're only rookies but improving so fast especially since they seemed to be training more and more with complicated choreo
I don't know how anyone can keep a straight face and type that any of these girls are bad dancers or "lacking" when they have already showed how well they can dance, esp in the dance covers they did.
also I think it's just hard over all to rank these girls bc of how versatile the whole group is...they were purposely formed to have members that are good at one concept and other members good at another. like I agree with some of these for JUST butterfly but not with their solo maybe or with the dance covers etc...it made me realize how good they are.
Echoing the sentiments stated by others, I feel Choerry should be recognised as a more apt dancer than Olivia Hye and Gowon. Reason being, with Olivia Hye, her moves are somewhat heavier and as such does not flow as well compared to Choerry who is lighter on her feet and can perform quicker switches and sharper moves. As for Gowon, Choerry succeeds over her in terms of dance due to her being able to adapt well between concepts whereas Gowon who has softer, more feminine moves tend to not be able to perform aggressive, more explosive moves as well as Choerry does.

It’s something about yves expressions that I feel like she could work on more.. but she’s indeed the best dancer and I don’t no other member could replace her in that but her face looks idk blah.. like she either looks mad or trying really hard to concentrate on dancing and breathing. It only shows when it’s not her singing part or she’s not in the center. I always usually keep my eyes on her because she’s the main dancer and I always go for the dancers In groups but I feel like she could definitely improve and in fact all members could. Kim lip, Olivia hye and Choerry are definitely my favorite dancers so far in loona
Personal ranking: 1. Yves - No doubt. She knows how to manipulate all of her body movements excellently depending upon the choreography and beat. She has both fluidity and sharpness of moves, two things a great dancer should have. Plus she just doesn't have them, she knows how to take control of them and fuse them to make elegant yet hard-hitting moves. This is something the rest of LOONA kind of lacks mastery of. 2. Heejin - She is a monster when it comes to her moves. Like Yves, she is also technical in terms of dancing. The only thing that makes her #2 for me is because Yves is more keen with even the simple details in dancing than her. Heejin sometimes have the tendency to focus on one movement of her body more than the others so it looks like on one part, she is overdoing it and on the other part, she is lacking. 3. Olivia Hye - She really is the definition of 'swag' when it comes to dancing. If I'm going to base this ranking on their NCT cover alone, OHye would be #1 and Choerry would be #2. But overall, OHye still has a lot of rooms for improvement. Flexibility is there, but her fluidity (?) or smoothness in moves is still missing in some choreographies. 4. Go Won - Honestly, with the right training and hardwork, she could even beat Yves. I see the preciseness and smoothness in her techniques, but oftentimes she doesn't execute them properly. In short, her movements lack coherence. She is even occasionally sloppy if you focus on their NCT dance cover. Why did I put her at 4? Preciseness of moves. That's it. 5. Choerry - She has the same potential as Go Won, but she doesn't execute some movements fully and properly. In their Butterfly choreo, Go Won's skills are still behind the top 3 but she tries whereas for Choerry's performance, she seems to hold back (??) and doesn't really give the force that I know she has. 6. Kim Lip - She is honestly a very great dancer and she has fluidity in her moves. (IDK how many times I have mentioned the word fluidity but anws.) What she needs is more force exerted into her moves, more strength, and coherence. 7. Hyunjin - She will probably make it to the top 5 if we're talking about hard-hitting moves. But I think that's one of her weaknesses. She knows how to use her strength but not when not to use it. When the choreo is supposed to be soft and elegant, she still brings out force which is unmatched for the vibe of the choreography. For the rest, idk haha. I'm no professional dancer and I'm also improving, this is just my pure observation. They are all hardworking tho so it covers up their weaknesses.
i know im late but i agree with the list especially choerry. i feel like she has a signature dance but maybe bbc hasnt made loona dance that type of dance.

*things i would like to point out* - vivi has improved a lot during so what era and i don't think she has ever lacked energy. she has better facial expressions than chuu, hyunjin, gowon and haseul. - haseul and jinsoul seem to forget their choreographies often - haseu, jinsoul and vivi's hand movements are very detailed - choerry can make choreographies - heejin should rank 2 instead of kim lip (watch so what fancams)
Honestly, Hyunjin has the potential to be in the top 3. We’ve all seen when she outshined Jinsoul in her own fancam lmao, or that 4 walls cover. She performs her best when she connects with the audience, which is why we maybe see her fade a bit on music shows, especially butterfly era, considering in kpop in general when a group does a “dark” or “sexy” concept, the norm for facial expressions is to be kind of expressionless lol. In Hi High she was almost always beaming. Point is, in my book she’s right behind Yves and Kim Lip technique wise, but definitely needs to learn how to “turn it on” for all performances.
Loved seeing your ranking and how you explained it in detail! I'm looking forward to the CLC vocal ranking too, I feel like a lot of people have differing opinions on it
when i first discovered heejin, even before her participation in mixnine, i always thought of her as a vocalist before a dancer because her voice overshined her dancing. i believe she wasn't born as a natural dancer and her dancing abilities are all made of hard work unlike Olivia hye and Yves whose are born with dancing talent. now i think her dancing and singing are getting equivalent and she's truly center material thanks to her versatility and stage presence
Opinion : Yeojin is the best dancer that is not in the dance line (I am counting dance line as Yves, Kim Lip, Heejin, Olivia, Choerry and Gowon) and I want her to be in the dance line. She is always pushed to the back or the edge but my eyes are drawn to her (maybe that’s because she’s my bias tho 😂) I think what I love about her dancing is she genuinely seems to be having so much fun when she dances, especially in cute or bright concepts. In darker concepts I think she also shines by looking so professional.
