Things pointed out in the comments that I found very interesting: (by Nicole Sampaio) What if the order of the floors we see in the elevator were also reversed. Normally 9=Yves 8=Choerry 5=Vivi. Keep in mind everything is flipped in Yves' side of the Möbius. Reversing the sequence gives: 1-Heejin-12 2-Hyunjin-11 3-Haseul-10 *4-Yeojin-9* *5-Vivi-8* 6-Kimlip-7 7-Jinsoul-6 *8-Choerry-5* 9-Yves-4 10-???-3 11-???-2 12-???-1 If reversed 5=Choerry 8=Vivi 9=YEOJIN! We've seen the frog plushie multiple times as well in the MV. Could it be Yeojin who was going down?

Another theory to add onto all of these other ones. I can’t remember who said it but it was in the comments for the video so I can’t claim this theory. But it states that out of all of the animals the loona girls are represented as, the deer and the fruit bat are the only ones who can eat the apple, therefore are the only ones who can be influenced by yves who is probably tempting them with knowledge about the loonaverse

so what i've been seeing a lot is the paradigm between yves and an anime called "time of eve". of course, their instagram post was captioned time of yves, so its obvious. The show basically centers around androids being servants to humans in the society, but the main character's android has started to become more independant and urges other androids to do so as well. "time of eve" refers to the cafe that these androids go to where they are free of labels and are treated as human individuals. I definetly see how yves might be seducing vivi, but it could mean that along with this storyline, yves is vivi's way to freedom from being a robot? by eating the apple, she can start feeling and belonging again into the loonaverse? just an interesting idea i really liked.

The first time I saw this, I definitely felt he LGBT-vibe in it. I'm glad you delved into that a little bit... I'm not usually one that sees every little thing in an MV as gay so I was surprised when this one slapped me in the face with it! PS-- 12:29 is the perfect scenario for attracting deer to your area! Laying a bunch of apples around! But the boy in EILY actually being Yves makes total sense. Blonde Vivi being in the "flipped" world and falling in love with a girl... Then going to the "normal" world--of course the "normal" thing is to be in love with a boy. Why would she be in love with a girl?! Plus that's the only MV that actually features another boy in it, besides back up dancers in Eclipse and Singing in the Rain. Doesn't it seem odd that out of all the MVs they could have inserted boys, Vivi's was the only one with a prominent focus on the boy? Not to mention Yves' MV is very obviously 90's influenced, just like Vivi's. So they must be happening at the same time/be a memory from the same time.

My theory about Yves is that in the reverse world she is a female and in the original side she is a male. Before biting the apple she acts and dresses lady like but once she bites the apple she gains the knowledge of her true identity. Hence she dresses more tomboyish and hangs out with male friends. You can see her putting her arm around a guy shoulder which simbolizes males having a close friendship with each other. Also in this MV you can see the same scene of Vivi skating but they look a bit different because they are in the reverse world. The differences: In Vivi's MV she is in a bright room, she seems really happy, and she is with a male (Yves male form shows in the real world) In the other hand, in Yves MV she is in a dark room, seems not too happy, and is with a female (due to her lack of emotion, the Vivi in this MV is actually the android version of Vivi, why? Because she is in the reverse side). The stuff animals not only represent children but also girls, when she hits the animals she is going against what she appears to be, a female. Also, this can explain Chuu's infatuation with Yves. Chuu likes Yves true self, a male (sorry if I crushed your dreams lgbt people). This is only my theory and I might be wrong.

the way i thought of it prior to the release of 'new' was yves is the inverse of hyunjin as their months collide. that's why both yves and hyunjin show up in girl front. how yves uses oec to get choose the plushies of the 1/3 members shows how much power she actually has! also i love how you analyzed this~ thank you for spreading the apple of knowledge ;D

Thank you for making this video ^^ I'm sure it'll help a lot of confused Loona fans out there haha. Just an extra thought I had. We always thaught that Yves was the one coming down from the 9th floor since she's the 9th member and ViVi was 5th. But as you said, if the MV tells the lore of how ViVi originally from the flipped 3rd unit dimension, what if the one coming down from the 9th floor was actually vivi. Because we can see that Yves was already at the bowling Alley from the start. Maybe she was waiting for ViVi there and ViVi was the one that does the travelling told in the MV. I know more imagery suggest Yves was the one coming down haha, just a thought :)

I’m super blown away! Your theory is so much more complete than mine!! But as LOOΠΔTICS the more theories the closer we are to the ultimate secret! So here’s mine if anyone’s interested at all! [the numbers represent pictures associated as proof from the MVs, as seen on Instagram, for example @loona_trash_ who was kind enough to share it!] LOOΠΔ THEORY: Yves is in paradise. It is for this precise reason that she always looks down in her MV, and that the locations are always higher up or somewhat off the ground [1]. She chooses the LOOΠΔ members’ animals thanks to a claw machine [2]. This is all clearly explained in ‘new’. Meanwhile, in the normal world of LOOΠΔ 1/3, 3 girls try and discover who they are inside, as represented in the MV ‘Sweet Crazy Love’. JinSoul discovers her powers before KimLip, thanks to her animal, a Blue Beta (that Yves must have randomly picked) [3]. She achieves this and activated her ‘Odd Eye’ to sing ‘Singing in the Rain’. It’s during this song that she becomes an angel [4]. the reason why yves was wearing the converse shoes is because she was hanging out with vivi and choerry in the carol 2.0, one of the possibly many times she had left eden to meet with the other members. this is also the case with the elevator scenes, it goes from floor 8 to 5, which are also choerry and vivis numbers.

It is just one of her signs that she is literally "dropping" her innocence after biting the apple :3 just a theory xD i could be wrong

Something to add to your idea of everything being reversed in the last unit is that in 1/3 and OEC the main vocal was the first girl revealed. If we go with your theory, then the main vocal of this unit (and maybe the whole group) will be the last girl revealed.

this will suck but here we go:1. in the bowling alley, yves' name is tilted straight in the beginning, but as the mv continues, the sign tilts and is low to the alley when vivi and yves are in the shot. im gonna assume that's her not succumbing to society2. i thought the box part was her looking over the members in the 'normal' world, because she's picking out the members from outside. she picks up yeojin to make her wander away from 1/3 (?) but idk why she chooses lip.3. in the reversed loona website, there are actually 2 mobius strips: on the edges of the page you might be able to see it. if im right (which is uncertain) loona are inside the alternate world of the alternate world they live in. or maybe, yves' new subunit lives in the 2nd alternate world which may be eden! who knowsanyway, these are just my thoughts :) feel free to discuss with me about them

Previously in the mv, we see her win an apple instead of the toys themselves (6:34) but we also know apples represent members too (5:15). I thought her trying to play the claw machine was like "recruiting" in a sense, so she like "won over" kim lip or yeojin in a sense? So what exactly happened to yeojin? Loonaverse gets more and more complex and I love it

I just see the entire concept as the "coming of age" of womanhood. 1/3 reps the period before puberty, OEC is when puberty hits aka transition of childhood to adulthood, and Yves gives us a glimpse of a more mature "adult" representation of the third unit's concept. Since BBC is making a biblical reference, the story of Adam and Eve basically serves as the origin story of how puberty came about. After eating the apple, a piece of it becomes lodged into the throat, hence how the term "Adam's apple" was created, and the Adam's apple is only visible after puberty. The fact that Yves was designated as the swan already implies that the "ugly duckling" pubescent transition has already past, leaving us with the final form, a woman with beauty and grace. We could also argue that other animals offer the same idea as well (ie: from kitten to cat or doe to deer), but it just doesn't have the same effect if we say "Dammmm homequrl went from a tadpole to a frog~"... LOLIDK just a thought

wow the moebius universe theory is v interesting ! i thought all the plush animal toys were her exploring different identities and discarding them all to forge her own future & be true to herself. Especially as she changes out of the odd eye circle shoes into the black shoes (a very strong symbol for identity like in that song "i put some new shoes on" haha. The shoes you wear can indicate where u are going/what u have been doing/what is important to you etc.). But i didnt realise those black shoes are similar to the 1/3 shoes. And i think plushies can represent innocence and the fact that she hits a cygnet (poor bb!) makes it clear that it is about maturing too. Learning to be true to yourself is a part of growth anyway so who knows, maybe it's both

Amazingly detailed and well though-out video, you mentioned everything I thought of when I first watched the MV. The loonaverse lore is truly amazing, keep up the amazing work!

Something that I just thought about as well with the timelines along the mobius. Through the Loona 1/3 and through Girl Front they are moving through the normal side into the center where it flips. At the end of Girl Front the tape reverses and them suddenly we have a prequel of OEC. And then time is reversing into many of the other theories presented here where Yves is the last of her unit and everything being in reverse. Edit: Also researching Girl Front, all three girls are wearing mobius bracelets as well.

Another thing worth noting is at 5:16 one of the apples in the group on the right is upside down. That group of apples is supposed to represent OEC, so it’s Choerry. It’s also the apple closest to the other group, showing how she’s the link between them.

I saw some very interesting things you missed, like the yoghurt being dropped, and when she hit the young swan the second time, apple bits came out of it.

Knowing now that Chuu's animal is penguin, and in love4eva we see how Yves is convincing the members to join her in leaving the school, I think it's safe to assume that the animal she's taking out of the claw machine is not an owl, but truly a penguin, and is mirroring what she did in love4eva, in convincing the others to leave Eden

My theory is: - yves' fruit (apple) has a double purpose: key to get out of eden and knowledge (thats why chuu and gowon also takes a bite from it) -Yves taking a frog (means abundance) and an owl (knowledge) and she gets another apple means she wants to know more and thats why we can see she has alot of apples -Yves hitting those stuffed toys coz she doesnt want to be like them (only moves/act with what the owner wants) -And those records, maybe she got into vivi's memory and she just placed herself into the boy's place, she's learning the life of the other girls or the life being on earth

Hi, do you have any explanation as to why her name was prominent throughout the mv as oppose to the other solo mvs that doesn't? I just noticed that while rewatching all of their solos.
