Loose Ends will always have a special place in my heart! I remember them S.O.S, 52nd Street, Skyy, and Soul to soul (to name a few) were always in heavy rotation…
Remember LW5, Five Star, Central Line, Imagination, 52nd Street, The Cool Notes, Tongue in Cheek, Princess, Deluxe, Haywoode.....just to name a few more 😅 British Soul RnB of the 80s was a Golden era
Yes, Those were the cassettetape-days. And, in Holland, before commercial radio. But we did have Pirate-stations on FM that played those tunes. I wish those days would still eXSist.
I been a fan since 1985 at age 15. I first heard that Song Hanging On A String on WQOK 97.5 FM Raleigh-Durham-Tarboro, N.C. All-Time Favorites/U.K. Soul!
They weren't all together. This is Janes's American Band. Steve pops in now n then. CARL not involved with her at all. She lives in America for over a decade. Zcarl still in London.
I remember on my 18th birthday my oldest sister told me to get dressed because she wanted to take me somewhere. Little did I know it was a Loose Ends concert. Howard Huntsberry and the Mac Band were the opening act. My sister is gone now, but those fond memories live on. That and the fact that a 30 yr old woman gave me her number.😉
This IS NOT Loose Ends, this is Jane's American Neo-Soul and Hip Hop band. Carl McIntosh is performing the songs in the original way in England with the two replacement members from 1990.
People get the facts before you take ownership of a lie. Carl McIntosh owns LooseEnds. Just because he's in London and Jane's in America performing does not give her owners only performing rights.
@@aframaco9491there is no comparison between Loose Ends & Bruno Mars. First of all Loose Ends & Bruno Mars are from completely 2 different times & era. If it wasn’t for old school there would be no new school. I’m quite sure Bruno Mars would inform you that Loose Ends were their inspiration & the blue print of their style & influence of their music. As a matter of fact, Loose Ends was the ground breaking of what we have today (neo-soul). Do your research & don’t be so quick to compare.
@@jojodancer0072 Every old school was once new school! By the way Loose Ends may have made some small waves on the UK music scene, but they weren't too tough on the global scene. I maintain there is nothing special about this band or their music. They fell short and sounded flimsy compared to American bands like Cameo, Rick James, Earth Wind and Fire and the Gap Band !
@@aframaco9491 thanks for your honest opinion. It’s a fact that every old school was once new school & so on & so on. What’s considered new school today in my opinion has been watered down, distorted & sample from old school beats. My personal opinion about retro music is, it brings back the good memories of the past & I appreciate hearing it. I definitely appreciate the Bruno Mars sounds of that old school flava. We have allowed the music industry of today shove this garbage of what they called music down our throats. The bands that you referred to in your comments, are considered classics from the greats. Unfortunately, the so-called music today has been replaced & weaponized to glorify violence, offensive towards our women, our dignity & self respect & no love or respect for one another. It’s sad and I feel so sorry for this generation today. Our culture has always been influenced by the type music that has been put out for each generation. It was a time when the frequency of music vibration used to make us feel love, happiness, togetherness & devotion. It’s the total opposite today, unfortunately.
Wow! Loose Ends was real “Super Groove” back in the days…. Along with Soul 2 Soul, Junior, Sade, Mica Paris, the United Kingdom were definitely on the cutting edge of music back then…. I heard the breakup of the group was not on the best harmonious terms but what group ever breaks up harmoniously…. Hopefully Carl & Steve will eventually re-join 😊✊🏽
I really wish this was the original members for Loose Ends . Carl Jayne and Steve .. instead of these 2 separate groups and imitators ..😢 they are truly missed
That is Jane and Steve on keyboards.. they each have a group touring as Loose Ends but Carl holds the title of the group. So as Jane would say we are all Original Group members no matter who we are with.
@@vanessaking-hardy8111 ty for clarity, really could not make out the ppl on the video via my phone but still not the same to me seeing them perform separately. But it is what it is ! I still got the videos n my memories💃🏾

One of my favorite groups, I have all of their albums and I still listen to them gracefully today. I seen them many years ago at a concert in Long Island N.Y. 💕💕
