This was such a helpful tutorial for me, particularly the mountains and the light-medium-dark value instruction. As a beginner, my rookie mistakes are "flat" paintings: values too light, lack of color contrast ... the usual I think 🤨. I've done this once and will repeat it - thank you!
Hi, i bought one of those master touch brushes, 1-1/2” looks just like yours, but it wouldn’t stay together at the top, the bristles splayed, so i couldn’t do a smooth stroke like you did for the mountains. Is there something i need to do to the brush to make it stay together at the top like yours?
It would deharmonize the painting because while she does have shadows, none of those shadows are black. It would pull focus and be to stark of a contrast here.
