There has been a misconception that electronic music is cold and mechanical, without depth or emotion. But when you listen to Jarre's music you get a real emotional vibe from it's rich textures and it's ethereal graces. There is also a spiritual depth to this wonderful music as well. There's no doubt Jarre is a genius!
Yeah, and not only Jarre. Think to artists like Depeche Mode or Pet Shop Boys, there's a good "mélange" between human and electronic world. Never thought that's cold. Even when I'm listening Kraftwerk...
Terrible interviewers, but it's actually a very illuminating interview. Jarre quickly covers so many interesting concepts here. The questions were so broad and quite facile but it left it to him to make sense of it and fill the vacuum, and this gave us a great insight into his mind.
Curious to know what he likes about the UK. Maybe he visits more often than is recognised. But he is living proof that despite Brexit and the hostility of Macron, the French love the British and the British love the French. There are plenty of young british soldier who paid the ultimate sacrifice in defence of France. I remember watching TV in France and their pop culture in particular is constantly looking at whats happening in the UK and alot less towards other european countries.
SuperJarre et très talentueux sur le son des morceaux mais on ne peut nier que beaucoup de codes de style ont été repris de son prédécesseur le grand Didier Marouani..Mais j'adore
jean sounds and looks likes hes having a bit of fun on this, he seems so nice and genuine, its odd though having an interview about music not a music channel show, loose women???? odd...
the reporter really should NOT to tell as introduction how many album he sold as introduction. She should tell instead how many years his music is remembered and how many still listen him! Thats really lame to measure success of music in means of sales! There are artists whos sales are bigger than Jarre has, but they have not even a 5 years lifespan in listeners ears!!!
@kingofkeyboards: Even if she has a humurous role in UK, she shouldn't exaggerate it. And here in Germany our humour isn't worse than the English one. Also, if she doesn't listen to Jarre, she should show some respect to him and not do such flat jokes...
I was JUST about to compliment TV content from across the pond - but as I reached for my keyboard - THAT person just said "I'm just listening to your accent" and then... Oh.... TV is STUPID EVERYWHERE
