This was so cool Sandi! Great editing and telling the story from your side. Nice second camera Grady too. It was so interesting to do these exercises and get loosened up, even if I felt out of my depth and awkward at the start. Your drawings are soo lovely to see too and the black paper portrait is my favourite. Can't wait to see the next part.

That two handed exercise looks a lot of fun! I have actually focused on figure drawings for the past week, mixing up realistic with wonky -- so this was interesting to watch. I actually am a little bit lost about next steps though -- wondering how to determine what is a "good" wonky drawing. Also wondering if I should focus more on studying how to draw realistically before letting the wonkiness loose? (Ultimately I want to do more stylized illustration not necessarily realistic, but I feel like I should have that foundation of knowing how to draw proportions and perspectives realistically.) Hope that makes sense?

that TOTALLY makes sense and I TOTALLY agree!!! Knowing the basic proportions makes a huge difference - knowing the body proportions and the face proportions. That's making me think - wonder if I should do a video on that? Would that be helpful? I won't be able to make it for a little while though - have a couple of other videos in the hopper and we are about to paint the studio. BUT I think I should do a video on proportions - because they are really easy and you can practice them with wonkiness!
