Love how you pop the card up on the screen when played! Appreciate the extra time spent in editing, it will add a lot of value for players unfamiliar with a card.
Thanks so much, it is a surprising amount of work in the editing process but so worth it imo for the exact reason you mentioned. Hope you continue to enjoy the content!
I also like that feature as well I also like on how you're using Snow White and Grumpy Funko Minis as Lore Markers (I run Seven Dwarves as my Main Deck)
@AirknightTails oh thats awesome, they are actually mini pops from EARLY EARLY funko. They did a handful of 2 packs of Disney characters in mini versions years ago.
You're most welcome, inking befuddle is all to common a problem, it can be a really good way not only to clear a space to quest in but also to bounce your own character to replay them ready to quest again next turn.
Thanks so much, really hope you enjoy the content going forward & good luck on the playmat giveaway & future giveaways. Channel is growing fast so there will be lots more giveaways to come! 😀
Found you from the Disney Lorcana FB page. Excited to see your content! Love live play videos! Also fingers crossed on that Merlin-Mim Mat, looks amazing
It is a great time & can definitely squeeze out wins a lot of times. My Ruby Amethyst is a bit lower to the ground than most. If you haven't seen there's deck breakdowns for both decks on the channel. 😀
Looks like the green deck is heavy!! I’m interested to see the full rules in play for me and everyone else that have been playing since the game came out, lots of bad habits to break, playing card before spending ink especially! I’d like a little intro on this video, for some constructive criticism. Subscribed!
Appreciate that, yeah we're definitely not perfect & John is pretty casual & in a casual setting. We mind our manners at the big tourneys lol. Sometimes it's a lot going on with the cameras & everything but we're definitely looking to improve so all feedback is welcome!
So glad you enjoyed it, very cool to have some international viewers. We do have some other decks built & plans for more content coming to the channel.
I found your channel from your Lorcana Facebook post. I'm new to TCGs and still learning the different deck types. It was fun to see how these two played against each other. It would be helpful to a newbie to see each players hand to help us understand the decision that are made throughout the game. Good luck with your channel. I look forward to watching more of your videos.
Thanks so much for watching & for the feedback. Making the hands more visible is definitely on my radar. That is one challenge with the traditional top down view is they aren't always totally visible. We will certainly do our best to keep the videos exciting & informative for you!
Thanks so much, I've found the biggest thing with hyper aggro is plotting out which threats are most relevant when. Rafiki/Pinocchio has also really helped amethyst a lot in the early game.
@@thenerdcaveyt I love seeing the meta decks gameplay but as someone who can't necessarily afford playsets of all the best cards i enjoy videos of budget decks even more. something to think about as you think of videos/decks. I think you got real potential though and am exciting to see this channel grow.
Found you from your post on Disney Lorcana TCG! Such a great video! I love finding videos where I can enjoy watching people play Lorcana!! Plus your Merlin/Mim playmat is fantastic, I look forward to upcoming videos and supporting this channel!!
We really appreciate that, hopefully we'll continue to share some ideas around decks & whatnot that people can enjoy. Good luck on the giveaway, more details in Monday's video!
Here from facebook. Sword in the stones my favourite disney film with emperors new groove as a close second! Good set up nice and clear, can i suggest keeping your hands fanned out and still so we can see your options and decison making or somthing similar. Love the card center screen when a new cards played
Thanks so much for all the feedback, yeah we've got a setup that will center everything a little better & fanning out hands & not nervously shuffling mine is definitely on my radar for next time. Live & ya learn haha, thanks again for watching & commenting!
Honestly from what I've heard they don't do reprints so if I was you I'd probably just pay the aftermarket price before they get insane. The chapter 1 mats are going for like $200+ now.
I have been looking for a channel where people play the actual game with physical cards instead of pixelborn. I hope you keep doing these types of videos. I think if you invest in a slightly better overhead camera setup and maybe overdub in some commentary (what you are thinking and why you played this and that), you could really set yourself apart from all the pixelborn channels.
Definitely appreciate the feedback always. I'm using a good camera currently but this video was recorded at a lower resolution due to the 1x1 framing. I'm probably going to record at 9x16 now that I know how it effects it & crop it in post. I really could use a couple more lights if anything & I think we need to do a better job talking through it as we go. I thought about dubbing it over but without being able to see the hands it was hard to speculate on the footage & my memory isn't that good lol. I want to also make our hands more visible to the camera in the future. Thanks so much for watching & commenting, hope you dig our future gameplay videos, we invested in playsets of everything so we can realistically play any decks that don't overlap color wise on the pricey cards.
@@thenerdcaveyt not sure what was in his hand but the next 2 turns were Pinocchio and double 1 drops that quest for 2. it deff would have put him in a better position to win.
Yeah they are actually from a mini pop 2-pack that came out in like 2013 or so when pops were pretty new. They are about half the size of a normal pop, it's snow white & grumpy.
I'm a board/card gamer that loves Disney theme parks & movies. I tried Lorcana thinking it would be a perfect game for me. Sadly, the theme is barely there and feels tacked on. This is a good card game, but not great. Without any real "Disney" thematic elements, except artwork, it's just another basic card game. This game theme could've been Star Wars/Pirates/Old West or anything and it would still play the same. Thanks for sharing!
I could see where you're coming from but I do think they've done a good job trying to make the characters make sense & the game is very fun to play & there's lots of wonderful art. That's what keeps me in it personally.
