Towards the end of her career Agatha's plots and characters seemed to decline in quality . But in her prime ( as here and ABC Murders / Orient Express / Roger Ackroyd / Evil Under the Sun and others ) she really was unrivalled in The Golden Age / Country House genre . David Suchet receives well deserved praise for his on-screen Poirot but these radio adaptations with John Moffat are the equal - if not superior in some cases . The TV version of Orient Express was quite awful for example .? A Poirot wracked by existential Angst.....?!?!? Just No...!!
