He's right. The president is the PR representative for the United States. He is there to look nice, say what he is told, do what he is told, and take the blame, or praise for decisions that are made above him. Since the 1930's it has been 50% Rep. 50% Dem presidents. Why? It keeps people happy, and propels the illusion of choice. All but 2 elected presidents did 8 years. Why? Because once u teach the guy how the game is really played, and he plays the game well. Keeping him is easier than teaching another guy the rules. People need to stop voting. It's the only way to send the right message.

What he means is that there are very wealthy people in high places that influence policies and get political favors in exchange for money or PAC donations. These people can be considered more powerful than the POTUS simply because they have the ability to influence him and have massive geopolitical connections and implications. You and Vlad both need to brush up on your comprehension skills, in regard to analogies.
