I remember being just a little child, and my parents had this sound track, never really knew what it was but I absolutely loved the music, everything g about it was beautiful, and I remember distinctly how emotional watching this guy dance made my mom emotional. I’m 26 now and I just watched this performance as an adult and I can see what it was all about. It’s just so wonderful
I'm 33 and remember my dad taking us to the library, and hiring this out on VHS for us in 90's ☺ he passed away last year, and this has brought back so many memories ☺
35 years old and the music takes me back to the years when life was easy. My biggest worry was getting rocks for my kettie and what time I can kick my school shoes out. My dad had this on a video cassette we had a telefunken tv, those old ones that you never move because they were to heavy and a Sansui cassette player. Although many years has gone past the music is a Time Machine. I’m right back to those times. Oh how the world has changed.
Apparently you're not aware that always, throughout all of history, there is ALWAYS someone better than the one who is the "best" at any given moment. There will be someone, if there isn't already, who will be better than the former master.
Just like Michael Jackson, no one ever will Claim the Title King of Pop like him. These Days there are just no Legends made anymore like the good old Times, idk why but its a sad truth... Maybe People get Famous way to fast, they dont need to have a Talent at 100+ to ge Famous, just get it for everything, drop one Mainstream Song that people like and you are considered a Star -.-
I remember my dad taking us to the library every week as a kid in the late 90's, and they had this on VHS. I absolutely loved it, and I used to make dad hire it out for me all the time 😂. it's one of my most favourite childhood memories. Rest in peace dad xx
Everytime i see this on dvd i always turn it as far as i am allowed. this is one hell of a show, the music and the dancing is truely awesome So love this. top bloody quality
I am 29 now .... This performance alone was the thing that made me want to perform there's just something so captivating about his entrance into this and his dance moves ... Just so awesome! He was my hero when I was a kid. Lord of the dance forever.
"Lord Of The Dance" should become a major film by Matthew Vaughn based on Michael Flatley's life from humble beginnings being born to Irish parents growing up in Chicago to the glittering and successful life long career and the smash hit show of the 1990s and the part he played in bringing 1997 show to life in the film titled "Lord Of The Dance : The Untold Story". @@CloverSpaders1995 It would definitely be the kind of motion picture that would certainly be for modern viewers and thrillseeking audiences in cinemas across the globe that would supersede "Jersey Boys", "Bohemian Rhapsody" and "Rocketman".
Well that dream is to come true as a “biopic” IS supposedly in the “pipeline” but it’ll be done as a 6 part tv series rather than a movie and will be called “Dancelord”
When I was a child I remember we only had 2 VHS tapes. It was this and the first Harry Potter film. I remember rewatching this so many times that I've always been able to remember the whole dance act by act. I didn't even know what I was watching and I'm from a country very far away from Ireland. But something about it was just magical. Now that I'm older I still listen to "warriors" whenever I need a confidence boost or "siamsa" whenever I'm happy. All my friends know me for adoring this strange American Irish dancer.
@@susanne3192 I think that Lord Of The Dance would be a fantastic Big Screen Biopic of Michael Flatley and his life long career and the legendary smash hit show of 1996 and his involvement in creating the show.
@@zerodarkthirty1045 For this film I would cast... Aiden Turner as Michael Flatley Saiorse Ronan as Bernadette Flynn Allen Leech as Damien O'Kane Maura Higgins as Gillian Norris Domnhall Gleeson as Daire Nolan Cillian Murphy as Desmond Bailey Masie Williams as Helen Egan David Tennant as John Reid Amanda Seyfried as Jean Butler, Katie McGrath as Anne Buckley Liam Neeson as Ronan Hardiman Colin Morgan as Steven Brunner Ciaran Sexton as Mrs Higgins Gary Oldman as Harvey Goldsmith and Paul McGann as David Mallet.

My Irish cousins used to come over to visit from Galway and County Cork. And they dance in our living room to this without music. Amazing so glad that’s part of me.
There will only be one michael. All his predecessors are great but none can command a stage dance troup and audience with such intensity and passion as he did. He seems to kick and jump a lot higher too. Infact during this dance now i never see the whole line doing the kicks as they do here.
@@betheryn7203 I think Chandlers greatest fear would be if Lord Of The Dance becomes a Big Screen Biopic of Michael Flatley's life long career and the smash hit show of 1996.
I love this song and the dance. But what if... These guys snuck in a few guiness before the show? Would that effect the performance. You can't tell me irish have a good alcohol tolerance just watch em at the pubs lol. JK sarcasm of course irish rock.
Lord of the Dance. It's an old hymn that Ronan Hardiman sped up and changed up to be more Irish fiddle. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ka6nhNHEiBE.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7mgvzwXTpM4.html
