Update: This video is a long time ago but yes, this is not the latest fan patch but the official version. I might plan on re-doing all of these with the fan patch instead, in the future.

This is the first game of Battle for Middle Earth.
I went up against a computer, hard difficulty army. I'm more good at this game with the Gondor army. The map is the first one in the list in Skirmish mode, solo play. I did some little mistakes but in the end, I won.
Video gameplay was recorded in 800x600 resolution.
Upscaled to 720p.
Forgot to record with cursor. Next time I will.

Game information:
Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth is a real-time strategy game, only for PC. It came out in 2004. It was developed by EA Los Angeles and published by EA Games.
In the game, there is story mode a.k.a. campaign mode. Where you can play the good or the evil campaign. There is skirmish mode where you can go up against a number of computers and you can have computers as your ally as well for large team skirmishes.

That's cool that you got the game! It really is a great game and the campaign both good and evil are great as well. I might put up a few of the great battles from the good campaign mode.

I can do another one. It's just that I recently moved to another place and I can't find my copy of the game but I know it's in one of my boxes I personally moved myself. Also, I've been busy lately but I will make another one.

Honest truth about that, I have no idea. I thought I had him in rank 1. My game is up to date and I don't have any mods at all. Even if I did had mods installed, it's just gonna screw my game up anyways. I gotta check how it works again the next time I play. Thanks for pointing that out.

There's actually no weakest faction at all. I've seen players online who do really great with Mordor or Isengard. I've never seen anyone who played Gondor better than I did but I'm not saying I'm the best of all. But imo to generally answer your question, I think if you don't handle Isengard right, they become the weakest faction. But that's saying with a contradiction because if you can't handle any army in the game, you are weak.

I know this is an old video, but why destroy your own farms? Just to get other buildings a bit faster? I get that you destroy them if they're about to be destroyed by the enemy, it's the other situations I'm confused about.

Syracuse It's okay if it's an old video. I destroy the buildings if they're about to be destroyed to get gold income. Why let your farm to be destroyed by the enemy and give them gold, when you can get some gold by destroying it yourself before they do? Even if it's a small amount, it's a difference between letting your enemy getting stuff around the map and preventing them from destroying what you had build during warfare. It's either protect the buildings outside your castle or destroy them if you can't save them. Farms I build in my castle are no longer relevant to my needs once I have enough horse units (which is just three). They're there to give me gold income and discount on creating horse units. But yeah, it's also another reason to get other buildings a bit faster but it's not about getting gold income faster than your opponent but to have sustain in the battlefield with a good amount of combo knights-archers army so that they can withstand anything against your opponent's army. Especially when they're fully upgraded and high ranked.

They're both rely in numbers and not the quality of how strong their army is like Gondor and Rohan. When Gondor and Rohan are already strong without upgrades, they become way more stronger with upgrades.

Hey I've found out why is he starting with rank 3. It's because of the patch which changes his rank from 1 to 3. I didn't have one. Thanks for the reply :)

yeah this games too easy, without the patches to go with it, isenguard is OP as fuck in 1.06, it would seem your running an older version of the game like i used too, the patch brought some much needed challenge to these duels, also if you want to win in this game dont play as Mordor, period.

get the updates it sufficiently improves AI function in skirmish mode, cant play 6 hard AI vs just me, anymore a little frustrating at first but with hot keys you got that shit!
