Lord of the rings GIFT bundle - Are they worth it? | MTG | 

Really wish the gift bundle had the map lands instead of the standard lands. For a premium product I'd like the premium lands.

Bought a Collector Booster Pack for my Fiancee when I got my prerelease kit (waiting for my bundle atm) and she complained that the fourth card wasn't in English. She pulled a Dwarven Ring!!

Got some good stuff at prerelease. Building Sauron (grixis, not mono B) since he was the promo in one of my kits. That wasn't a bad bundle overall

ah i prefered the Gandalf art to be on the inner box aswell, it looks so good.

When I opened the food and fellowship commander deck with the sample collectors pack. The first card I pulled was the extended art version of The One Ring, I immediately put that card into a sleeve that I purchased for that commander deck

No new commanders from the set but a LOT of cards went into my Mardu Legendary Humans deck. Eomer, Eowyn, Flowering of the white tree, Mines of moria etc.. lots of legendary matters-cards in the set..

Opened a box on my RU-vid & got a surge foil barrow downs & a human non foil ring. Pretty happy 🤟🏻

Because of the one collector booster inside, these have been way to expensive for their over all value in my opinion. I stuck with the regular bundle and I'm happy with it. If they don't actually screw up the randomization, the ring can be in these as well as in the collector booster boxes (that's the official information they give us everywhere, so it would be an actual indictable lie if the collector boosters couldn't actually all have the ring inside). So what you get is ONE single booster, one little chance, that makes the whole bundle much more expensive than the regular one. So no, that's not a good deal for me.

You well undersold your set booster pulls, you got a ton of big hitters from only 8 packs.

Should all of the non foil sol rings weigh the same? I bought the elven and Dwarven on tcg. The dwarven weighed 1.71 grams and the elven 1.67 grams. Any information on this? Everything else checked out

You had some amazing pulls there. Aragorn is amazing (good card and value), Orcish Bowmasters is also great in both regards and Horn of Gondor is also outstanding. But I gotta say, getting just the regular Lands (eventhough they look nice) is kind of a shame. I think swapping the foils for the full art would be just as good (if not better; obviously personal preference) but yeah. I opened a set display and got some cool pulls aswell. But I am honestly the most happy about a full set of the full art lands. (also pulled an Aragorn, a Nazghul, 2 bowmasters and some other fun stuff, like Mithril and Watering the White tree)

Got 2 of these on the way i agree i feel like the ring will be found in these nice video.

The box at rrp £74.99 is well worth it considering the one ring in that art is selling for £30! Definitely picking this box up. This is tje first time ive done a pre release, draft and buying packs in iver 8 years! Not been thid excited for a long time lol. Normally only buy singles but i wanna own ss much of this set as possible 🤣

Was able to snag 2 of these early on for about 75 bucks. The prices I’m seeing them get up too is really silly

[TLDR] Concluding, i'm waiting for release date to find out about the drama i'm predicting now when the 1/1 ring is gone before product is put on sale because it's a complete fraud to offer something that at the time of sales starting is already not possible to get. I have 2 gift bundles ordered so i'll wait and get in line for entering a court case against them for misleading and lying (if they are going to greenlight the sales, if they cancel completely i'm quite sure they are going to repack and IMO they'll swap collectors pack for "special edition collectors pack" because these don't promise the 1/1 ring chance.[/TLDR] I wonder why did WotC (or Hasbro) choose 2 week delay period between this gift bundle and the rest of the set products. Right now i think that they put themselves is a shitty situation because of this release date after the news from today that the 1/1 serialized ring has been already found and the bundle not even for sale yet, so IMO they are going to promise a chance for a card that is already gone from the draw pool at the time of gift bundle release in a week from now. I'm not a legal law expert but for me it looks like they are going to make false promises for each and every gift bundle buyer because the item was supposed to be obtainable from the product and they know very well that this is not true anymore. I don't know who are they hiring in their legal departament but i'm affraid that the staff quality level is similiar to what they offer as "premium" products with foil cards already "pringled" from the pack opening, so i wouldn't be surprised if they have spent as little on competent lawyer staff as they do for their products manufacturing. Back to the point... I'm starting to think that they are going to cancel gift bundle in current form for this product alltogether since they already missed the deadline for release so they could claim then that gift bundle are "fair game" and that it wasn't affected by the "chase card" collected. If only they were smart enough to make another 1/1 card exclusively for gift bundle then they could delay release from the rest of the set without any legal trouble. Right now i'm a bit surprised that they did another crazy thing, right after pinkertons deployment at their customers house since they were testing "premium door-2-door customer service" complementary "gift" with the top option of visiting the guys neighbours and spreading the love to the card game in person with a addition of story-telling about imaginary appointment which supposedly was goingbto take place :) I'm guessing that their "customer relations" departament is connected with legal one so the same people are doing the crazy stuff which happens at the rate of TMZ news cycle :) Cheers

Paying 189$ for a bundle that has 105 in value is pain. Ive seen terrible collector booster box openings also.. not many value cards in the set unfortunately.

Price on these is outrageous, over a $100? 80~ish sure, but 119 is what they are selling for locally around here, just silly.

If I wanted to make sure that the 1/1 ring was opened, I'd put it inside of a collector sample pack from a commander deck and seed it to someone who ordered only one deck. There's no chance that's not getting opened immediately.

pulling the face cards from the commander precons really suck.. for the price of these packs i dont want cards i bought the precons to get.. just my opinion, they put these in there to waste pack space

I wish they'd stop doing "premium" sets outside of masters. This is a step above Baldur's Gate but still could've been a regular price set.

If the one ring is seeded into the second wave in these gift bundles could there be a class action lawsuit? Seems too fishy to have it magically drop in a singular pack but also they have plausible deniability so maybe i'm just wearing a tin foil hat

The 1/1 one ring card was already pulled as of June 30 it was found by a humble planeswalker who wishes to remain anonymous, and sold the card to Dave & Adams for an approximate 2million us dollars

I bought 2 bundles for 60€ each and will probably resell them for 140€ each.

Love tolkien but wont buy this product.
