Because while Spoony still has fans who go back and watch his old videos...I'm hard pressed to recall any Lord Kat fans -- even at the height of TGWTG. All I remember about Lord Kat are strawberries and the fact that he was caught using save states in his Turrican video. He was like a beta Completionist.

I won't deny that Jason goes too far in his rant, but he does bring up a lot of points that still hold true today.

I not a big fan of Spoony anymore. I think he has an unpleasant personality(Although to be fair, after everything's he's gone through, I actually kind of understand) but LordKat is a grade A scumbag! Nothing like kicking a guy when he's down.

Spoony's betrayal outburst was funny, and worth the career of some dude that calls himself "LordKat."

Spoony has now disabled the comments on his videos and has taken to e-begging to fund basically a hope and a dream. You see, usually people finish a script before they ask for money to produce their movie. I liked Spoony for his 'Ultima' and 'Final Fantasy' reviews, but e-begging and disabling comments is kind of beyond the pale. Also, I could care less about the WWE and what Spoony (anybody, really) thinks about it, i.e., his Wrestle! Wrestle! videos.

Considering what I know about the whole situation, Jason is pretty much correct, if a bit too venomous in this rant. He basically is right in the end, and after working at TGWTG for a hot minute, I understand the whole frustration he is going through and why he did this rant. Ironically enough hes been making moves on his own that are much more unique than what Noah has been doing as of late. I will say this, Jason may be an asshole, but he doesn't hide it, he owns up to it. Noah is kind of like an abusive spouse you keep loving, he acts nice but is extremely...bad for you. To the point where you get burned.

It amazes me how Jason was on point then, illustrating Spoony's mistreatment towards his fans, his erractic behaviour and subsequent fall and warning people about Channel Awesome way before the first purge and the Change The Channel movement, but of course he was promptly ignored cause he wasn't popular enough and had some character flaws and unlike Spoony he sought help and stuck with it, now he's a much better person and going strong unlike the neurotic philistines that were part of that site.

Though it will be ignored by the spoony white knights maybe a few details would be nice. Lordkat's dad died a few month before this. The thing with the Betrayal stuff is this. I respect Noah and Joe for doing it. They called out those developers and said YOU ARE WRONG! They were taking the low road (FPS's are easy to do compared to actual ones like the original XCOM) and making it was insulting to the fans of the series. What Noah and Joe did WAS extravagant, but you know what? It WORKED! The company got a lot of heat after this and decided to remake it to be faithful. As a gamer, its the kind of respect we all want

I think the problem is that spoony is talented, but lazy. He had to make good content in order to get popular, and he did because he was able to. However, he realized that he doesn't have to put in effort anymore for quality content. He can make total garbage and if enough fans simply accept it or eat it up, then that's good enough for him. Unfortunately I think a lot of us have seen what he can do and see very highly of his ability, and it's just sad that his patreon supporters and followers clearly don't.

What I want to know is, if I'm the most loathsome person and Spoony is only #2 then how come I only get a brief mention and Spoony gets a 1 hour rant?

What the hell is with the dislikes? I guess it's because this was before Spoony's downward spiral.

So everyone clarifies (and Like if you want it pushed up so others can see), here's what happened: 1. JesuOtaku was going through some type of issue with her boyfriend at the time, Nash. 2. Spoony (who is clinically proven to suffer from depression and bi-polar disorder II was going through a break up at the time) tweeted to JesuOtaku, "@JesuOtaku, Y'know, if things don't go your way with @Nash076, I'd be happy to chain you to a pipe in my basement and love you. My way." (It was clarified by Spoony it was intended as a joke) 3. JesuOtaku got offended, perceiving it as a type of "rape" joke. It could go either way, depending on how you read into it. 4. Spoony apologized to JesuOtaku, JesuOtaku accepted the apology and moved on. 5. Obscurus Lupa, who apparently had a previous problem with Spoony roughly a month later, brought it up publicly (it's not known exactly how as the material was later taken down) as well as throwing in Spoony's ex, which he was still upset about. This caused a major issue with fans of TGWTG getting upset at Spoony, despite Spoony and JesuOtaku putting it behind them. 6. Spoony was later "released" though TGWTG made a public announcement ambiguously worded in a manner that made it seem that Spoony wanted to leave. 7. Lupa, not wanting Spoony to get fired, felt she went too far, took the material down and publicly apologized to Spoony. 8. LordKat, who also had some issues with Spoony from way back and had left TGWTG then made a lot of hate comments, including telling Spoony he should go shoot himself. He made these comments AFTER all of this. LordKat made no apologies, kept hating him. Make your own opinions on the matter. Me? Joke: I think Spoony's joke was tasteless but not THAT terrible, he apologized and after JesuOtaku chose to accept the apology and move on, everyone else should have shut their mouths and let it alone because it's not their problem and not their business. Spoony: Spoony chose to apologize publicly so he already had to embarrass himself, so he paid for his mistake. Also, he reacted pretty harshly to the criticism on Twitter that didn't make him look good, which was kinda stupid. But he suffers from depression severely, so there should be SOME leniency in that. JesuOtaku: JesuOtaku was a class-act to be forgiving about it. She was also a class-act to keep quiet and refuse to jump on the "Bash Spoony" band wagon. Lupa: Lupa was wrong to stir it up AND wrong to do so publicly. It also wasn't her issue and it was already resolved, so she needed to keep her personal issue with Spoony OUT of her actions and be professional. But she DID apologize and seemed to not want to take it as far as getting Spoony fired. She's a bitch but not a TOTAL bitch. Hopefully, she learned her lesson, sadly at Spoony's expense. LordKat: You are a disgusting, selfish, egotistical, cowardly fat fuck that doesn't deserve what few fans you have. What kind of person does what you do? You are the ultimate villain in this one. JesuOtaku is (imo) the innocent victim, Spoony is a tragic victim, Lupa is a trouble-stirring bitch but you sir, get the crap-cake as the worst person involved overall. Nothing against Mr Antwiler, but he really does need to at least announce that he's semi-retired from being a serious internet reviewer and we fans need to come to the realisation that he's not going to return to form anytime soon (which is understandable, because he's not a well man). He needs to look after himself and get his life in order, and then hopefully one day he'll make a great comeback, but this is unlikely for the foreseeable future in my opinion.

It seems to me like he's trying to come off sounding all concerned about Spoony and disappointed that he's not doing more with his talent, but instead I just hear a lot of hateful, hypocritical bullshit. If you really felt good about the things you were doing, Lordkat, you wouldn't feel the need to make this cast. Coming from Fred's Down the Rabbit hole with some Research on the Topic. Looking back at this now, LordKat was right, BUT ultimately he was projecting. Yeah, you lost your opportunity to become a Corporate Shill and your entire career got ruined just because Spoony shouted "Betrayal!" At a con. Not because you were not only caught cheating but then later up and quit your "Until We Win" series. Frankly even though I loved Spoony and still listen to his D&D stories once in a while or some classic vids. I don't find any of his LW clips very interesting even though I can say it's still more interesting than LordKat. Don't get me wrong, he's right on the fact that Spoony has more or less given up and caved. Him disabling videos and cutting off all communication and just doing lets plays to keep the fans at least aware he's still doing things to keep making money is proof positive of that, but LordKat isn't much better. He wants to judge the shit out of Noah about content? All this guy does is sit behind a desk with ear phones and a mic and just talks for hours. Again, don't get me wrong I mean people like that shit, that's fine but when he wants to break down and call someone who's more popular than him less than nothing with no content when all he does is talk doesn't really help his point TO ME. Because at least Noah TRIED to do something, to get where he wanted to go to. And to couple him up with the Amazing Atheist calling him one of the worst people out there? Funniest thing about this rant, its all because he didn't get to interview Notch. Like his interview along with the some other hundred of interviews with the guy was going to be breaking news. Ironically that betrayal incident has been celebrated by the developers of X-COM:EU and became an achievement. ^_^

We need a counter for how many times LordKat said the word "fucking". Kat's apparently mad on a personal level, here. There's got to be something wrong with the guy, and he's directing it towards Spoony.

Spoony really needs to take a break from the internet and take some time to recover from all of the issues afflicting him. As of late, all he's been doing is shitting on his dedicated fans, censoring any sort of criticism (funny considering that he is a critic), and just generally being a complete asshole. It's such a shame, too, because he's a really funny and talented person. I love the guy, but I can't stand to support him anymore until he fixes his massive attitude problem. He and his fans would be so much better off if he actually focused on some self-improvement and learned to take fault or to laugh at himself.

Listening to this makes me wonder if LordKat himself has Bipolar II or knows anyone with Bipolar II other than Noah. Because it ain't one of those "fun" mental instabilities like in the movies.
