Members of the House of Lords have prolonged their stand-off with Ministers over the Rwanda Bill by inflicting a series of defeats on the Government this afternoon. Opposition Lords say it should be up to the courts to decide if Rwanda is a safe place to send asylum seekers rather than ministers. (Subscribe: bit.ly/C4_News_Subscribe)
The defeats means the Bill will be back in the Commons after Easter when MPs are expected to remove all the changes that the Lords made today.
