Of all the places you've been, I would have never thought I would see a video of Lordsburg,NM. I like it. I'm from New Mexico so it's cool others get to see a glimpse of it.
In the middle 1980's , I used to work for the Southern Pacific Railroad and spent a lot of time in Lordsburg. It was a crew change point for the Tucson and El Paso train crews. I grew up in El Paso , but worked out of Tucson. There used to be a large concrete coal tower next to the tracks . Nearby was the modular rooms we stayed in. Ate a lot of good Mexican food at the restaurant near the Depot. The Union Pacific Railroad took over the SP in 1995 and shortly after torn down all the old railroad buildings and run through to El Paso.
@@toyoscio Erm, can't recall seeing a single person walking around the entire town. It reminds me of that film 28 Days Later. Pause it at 2:46. Not sure what else I can say. Depressing.
Great tour of Lordsburg. My mom's house is at 4:38-40 time. She past away Feb. 2019. It was a surprise to see her house on your tour. BTW my step dad dies in that house in 2016. His name was Charlie Williams. Again this was a great video of home. Thank you for sharing.
I have family that live near Cottonwood Mall. Love to visit ABQ. They did take me into some hood areas once for some really good Mexican food other than just always eating at El Pinto.
@LiveLeak Now Mexican cities had improved a lot better, because Mexicans had some money now.... Worst cities are Venezuelan cities now, people there are starving.
Being from the Dallas area and experiencing the influx of people and increased traffic in the past few years, I'd love to be in a place with low traffic again.
In all of these videos of American hoods, a couple of things really stand out for me (Im Australian). Mainly the really poor condition of some of the roads, and also the trash and rubbish everywhere! Also the really bad condition of some of the houses, in Australia they would have been condemned. Its like America has just let its infrastructure deteriorate...
We have greedy politicians they could care less about infrastructure but fair to say that these are actually the bad neighborhoods and the rich part it's unbelievable especially here in the Bay area where I'm at the houses are huge and the places are very clean
Pulled up in Deming on my way to AZ one time… there’s some seriously wacko folks that run a coffee shop down there. Had to get out fast cause it was giving me the creeps
I grew up in Lordsburg NM 1960-72 it actually was a very nice little town with all the good that went with it. The mining industry, and railroad were a big factor in success of the economy. But when they took I-10 that ran down Main Street and did the I-10 Bypass That was the beginning of the end. Trust lordsburg had a community of really nice homes white picket fences and it use to thrive. Unfortunately now it’s a simple little almost ghost town with very few businesses Just Saying
WoW, CharlieBoi, you’ve gone through now! Please stay safe, it’s as if your presence was Epictetus or known-too desolate! Thanks for the video but I was on edge the entire time.
Lol can't believe someone made a video of my town ran into this by accident. It's very hot out here and we have like the worst dust storms most come out at night and yes we have a family dollar lol
Is this your full time job now Charlie? I havent caught your videos for awhile but noticed that you have really gotten around all over the country now!
It's far from pretty, borderline ugly and dry as hell, but I loved it there. The people are kind and helpful like everyone should be. Food was amazing at Chatterbox. Grateful the cashier at Saucedo's told us to eat there. The Pozole was the best, and so was the huevos rancheros.
Come to Roswell New Mexico homie we got ghettos to film the east side they call it chihuahuita and the old military base where they kept the aliens it's the hood now fuckery going on out there
Im from south central but my friend rip was from roswell nice peaceful place compared to were i live killings every fucking night i think roswell is nice all the people were very humble
@@alejozamora122 roswell's not crazy like la crazy but has its problems and for only having 50,000 people and being 7 miles long but three miles wide of a city it's kind of crazy all the stuff that goes down here I moved away for a while and I liked it came back and I felt like I was in a third world country Roswell is just behind
Anita Cruz .. on my momma 2 hot somtimes in Cali to be actually b gang bangin. We wait at night somtimes to hussle make ends meet. Freaks come out at night . I’m sure it b like dat in NM they b heater than us Cali people
He passed so many of my families homes, but also missed a few. Im here like whoa whoa they aint the hood, they just poor like me lol dont over sell it calling Lordsburg a hood when its not lol
Love the vid. Looks like one of those typical towns in the southwest where the heat is pummeling the town and its inhabitants where everyone seeks refuge in there homes sad for those unable to afford AC. I can imagine there are frequent dust storms and tumble weeds rolling everywhere lol
I'm 50, my grandparent eloped in Lordsburg back in the 50's. In the 70's you could go the country western clothing store or the auto parts store or go to the barber. Today it looks like it survives on truck drivers/hotels only?
@@toyoscio cause like i said its boring as hell the scenery is ugly. no grass, no trees, just dried up dirt and sand. its always hot as hell nothing to do at all because its straight up in the middle of the desert lmao
How's the Rent and/or Real Estate around here???...any affordable RV/Trailer parks available as an option???.Im a cheap bastard when it comes to housing.
Is Cardwell in any of these videos..?? AskinG cause I used to leave around there when I was ah kid an can't remember where they Hispanic or Indians I used to chill with ...much love 💯🤘🏾
Come on Charlie you wasting footage on these cowboy & Indian towns, come on back to the West, South and East coast ghettos..We haven’t seen San Diego, Las Vegas, Arkansas, Indiana..But you damn near hit everywhere..But Baltimore, Brownsville, East NY and D.C. we want to see again..Much love Peace
Quite a few trailers. Something you don't realize if you live somewhere, like in many eastern states, where they're not common, is that millions and millions of lower income people live in trailers.
@@jimjones8808 Trailers really suck when the residents own them but rent space in trailer parks. That's the most common arrangement. The park owners can raise the space rents as much as they want and the trailer owners have no choice but to pay. Moving trailers elsewhere costs many thousands of dollars and can be physically impossible with older trailers.
Why roads in US are so wide and often without markings? Don't think it is practical to maintain so much tarmac, without obvious need for that. Could stick some greenery between the road and sidewalk instead!
@The Fat man what the hell are you talking about? @Jess West End that's all small towns in New Mexico. They're all pretty poor and there is usually never anything going on. I always thought places like this would be the "perfect" place to hide if you had some money and didn't want anyone looking for you.
FANTASTIC ~ We say Thanks for your Great Efforts!! We wouldnt know these sites if it weren't for you!! ~ I've done the same in my own neighborhood (in Aust.) ~ Changes happen so we capture what Used to be 😂😂
Evidently this town is currently listed as a hard to fill duty location by the U.S. Border Patrol for seeking new recruits that collectively would receive a $20,000 bonus in sum for taking this assignment location. My father was born and raised in Albuquerque New Mexico from 1941 through 1961. He left for Long Beach California in 1961 for seeking better employment opportunities. My father didn't really venture to other parts of the state of NM while he was there. So asking him about this town is pointless but I would like to know is there issues here with the border that are I gather severe??? Is this town patrolled by a Sheriff's department or a city police department? Tons of people are leaving California. Wouldn't surprise me this town may see an influx of people moving in this past year and present. I'm 44 - I always wanted to live in a small, isolated town but not along the southwest border.
Border problem isn’t bad here you’ll see your average immigrant and drug smuggler just like any other border town. It’s just a town with NOTHING which is why BP agents leave as soon as possible making it hard to fill duty station. It’s a nice town tho for people who want to unwind
How come it's like if you've seen one hood you've seen them all? or if you lived in one hood you've lived in them all I wonder if that's at least one of the messages in this because that's what I'm getting.
