Necrit must’ve missed that it is in fact Brash Gambler who can’t knock the last ball in, meaning Pool Shark is cheating (with the live crab/ball) and winning vs brash gambler. Might tie into Brash Gambler’s betting, or not.
About Gangplank and the orange. How he is eating it actually makes total sense and is a great little detail. It's because of Scurvy, a common disease for sailors back in the day. Scurvy is caused by a deficiency in Vitamin C, due to long voyages and fruits not lasting. Oranges are a great source of Vitamin C, and in fact the skins have more nutrients than the flesh. This would explain why in game Gangplank eats oranges to cleanse himself. And why here he is eating it skin and all, because he cares less about the taste and more about the health benefits. Another neat detail is that in the Fizz card, the sailors are pissed at him cause he is knocking over a barrel of oranges. Also the Citrus Courier.
@@Serryy That is probably also not a taste thing I think. Sea water is salt water and salt preserves Oranges. There is actually a book about Blood Oranges dipped in salt so that could also be an inspiration. Point is Riot did some research on GP :).
The Petty Officer DIDN'T do anything to Gangplank, he says that GP will do to BILGEWATER what BILGEWATER DID to him. He also refers to him as "Boss". Also the yordle on Riptide Rex is identical to the Petty Officer, meaning they are both part of GP's crew, as are the Jagged Taskmaster and the Jagged Butcher, whom you can see in GP's art.
Riptide rex is with GP as when GP is summoned with Riptide rex they say "It's the Boss!" "Sure is Rex." And the Petty officer is also with GP When he is summoned against GP he says "Caption am I fighting for the enemy?!" Edit: the jaull hunters are hunting the terror of the tide as in the ship monster from shadow isles. I recently looked at the full art you can see the hunter's ship and behind the boat part it looks like a normal sea monster.
Also he had the dreg dredgers a bit backwards, they aren't scrounging broken stuff, its just whatever they try to use is pretty much broken the moment they touch it, kinda matching their play effect
Necrit: Bearded Lady = Made up Bilgewater god. Me: No, that's another name for Nagakeboros, and so far she seems pretty real. Necrit: The tithe was just a superstition before Nautilus. Me: I'm pretty sure that wasn't confirmed, and that it was implied that what happened to Nautilus was because of it not just being a superstition.
One theory about Black Market Merchant: You know how Tahm Kench, being a demon, has no real appearance, but instead takes the appearance that is most appropriate to attract his victims into his bargaining schemes? And how his current appearance in game is based on how a Bilgewater gambler saw him? I always wondered "Why would the gambler see him as a catfish demon? Because he catfishes people?", but with Black Market Merchant being cannon, I now theorize that the Bilgewater gambler saw Tahm Kench as a Vastaya, not as a catfish demon. So Tahm Kench's appearance is actually that of a catfish Vastaya gambler.
Illaoi has a voicr line saying "Bearded Lady, Nagakabourus? Names do not matter. Action does." I think that might be hinting they are the same thing/God
Kench already has lines in the game, whereas pyke the developers said in a tweet about what champs their adding, they hinted towards him. Illaoi and graves I have no idea tho
Maybe they need to explore more of the depths portion of Bilgewater first before Pyke, because it seems related with the shadow isles AND the void. Also could be something entirely singular.
Thing is RIOT is keeping the balance between regions, giving each region the same number of champions. So they added what are (at least in my opinion) top 5 most iconic champions from Bilgewaters. I believe in the next expansion they will add one more champion from each region.
@@redionballaj3365 Not mention how characters translate into a card game, while being balanced and fun. Fizz is an annoying prick that is difficult to hit. Teemo plants shrooms in your deck, if left unchecked the shrooms snowball to crazy numbers. Gangplank makes you feel like you have a ship, constantly bombarding the enemies board. Etc.
That was one of the first things I noticed when I saw the card art (in game) and I was disappointed Necrit either didn't notice it or didn't mention it
18:28 if you look at the yordle you can see that he has green face tattoos like the rest of Gangplank's crew so he's probably part of dreadway and just attacking another ship

The petty officer is a part of Gankplanks crew. He didn't have to make him angry to see the anger in his eyes. He has the green tattoos like the rest of GPs crew. Thats why he has the bombs, he didn't steal them. And he summons barrels in game which is pretty much a Gankplank thing. Also the Dreadways front looks like it's designed after the bearded serpents like GPs shoulder pad. It may not have the accurate ammount of eyes but the beard decorations really remind me of them

The Platewyrm's head and or skull is noticably similar to the rams of the hunting fleets which was nice touch! Couldn't help but see a face of a ship when looking at the Platewyrm!

From the Artwork it looks more like the Yordle Grifter is bribing Sheriff Lariette Rose. Her Boots look quite similar in her picture, she has the white coat and the rope.
i am so incredibly glad we get more LoL artwork. especially like how nautiluses eyes look like lighthouses, and ofc all the terrifying underwater monsters like the platwyrm.

It's probably GP's crew boarding the ship. Petty Officer calls him Captain in game, Necrit probably didn't play much of the game. Even Riptide Rex and the other yordle refers to him as Boss.

Okay love you vid but I gotta let you know some stuff m8 #1 when it comes to some of the 'not very interesting' ladies (the hired gun and the prowling cutthroat) they seem to work with or at the very least be on good terms with miss fortune due to their voice lines together, some of said voice lines suggesting them to be a bit more than friends or crew mates #2 The brash gambler is probably betting against twisted fate, since he is one of the main people at the gambling hall in bilgewater #3 The azure waves characters have many voice lines with both fizz and nautilus, all of them kind of pointing towards the idea that nautilus and fizz are the protectors of the azure way.. nautilus being the responsible one and fizz being like the drunk cool guy uncle that nautilus hates but all the little ones of the azure way love #4 Riptide Rex works for GP, the tattoos mainly give it away but we got a voice line between them and GP just like how the rest of the crew do #5 Gangplank has attempted, and failed, to turn in the plunder poro's bounty according to his voice lines.
Bilge water were were Pewpew becomes Boomboom were Scary monsters from the deep becomes Horror's of the deep were Misfortune becomes a badass than a Thot were Fizz becomes more annoying and were Necrit posted the same time as Cinematic
