Imagine your a freeguild soldier, and u die in a battle with flesh-eater courts as your friends leave you, Ur body left to be eaten, thus they are angry at those who didn't try and save the body so it could be buried. Thus scarlet doom might not have anger towards the flesh eater courts, rather the individuals that left their body to be eaten. I know it has holes but its the best explanation I have to this issue.

I would love to see a story about the Scarlet Doom squaring off against 2 different sects of the Daughters of Khaine, specifically Draichi Ganeth. Because the Draichi Ganeth always try to kill their foes in a single strike, specifically decapitating them to present their heads as a trophy of battle to earn favor. So members of The Scarlet Doom might see that as defilement of the dead, while the Daughters see it as an honor to cut off someone's head, because it's a testament to the strength of their enemy, and their technique.

I just reminded myself that I read maybe in Core Book there was a group of nighthaunts that are lead by a Tomb Banshee that helped stormcast in shyish cause they don't like Nagash. So I wonder is this the same group as the Quicksilver Dead??

Originally when I was first doing my nighthaunt I was originally going to go the quicksilver dead. This is before the quicksilver dead was really playable. However I couldn't paint it well enough for my standards. So now they are essentially the ulgue equivalent.

The quicksilver dead have inspired my owm personal Nighthaunt force in that they are a bunch of folks who died at sea (pirates, mainly) and they now from the seas to continue to raid the seaside villages of the realms. Only now onstead of gold and silver, they take souls for Nagash. I think they can be played as either scarlet doom, a raiding band of ghosts, or as emerald hosts, seaborne ghost killers sent to take out "they who bear the spot" Still thinking of names, though.

Just started night haunt when my son and I split Arena of Shades. I'm 100% going the Scarlet Doom.

I wonder if there's chaos models that would look good painted in Night Haunt colors. Reason being: there was a civilization that retained knowledge of chaos & believed wicked souls went there when they died. As a result, there was an afterlife where wicked souls were tormented & eventually became "demons" themselves.
