Man! I really loved this one! The Blood Angels sound similar to the Grey Warden's from Dragon Age! Especially when a Warden hears within their mind, called the Song, it'sfaint at first, then it gradually gets louder and louder, until it's the only thing they hear! When that happens, around 30 years, max, the Warden goes into the Deep Roads, to kill as many Darkspawn as possible, before they are cut down themselves! They do this, to die while still human, and don't turn into a horrific monster! To become a Grey Warden, one does a special ritual called The Joining. They drink Darkspawn blood, with a drop from a Archdemon mixed in it! Some die right after, but, the few that survive, become full Grey Wardens, and can now sense Darkspawn and Archdemon's, if one is close enough to them! They are also tormented with horrible nightmares, that can get worse over time! One last thing, a Grey Warden is the only one that can kill a Archdemon, because when it dies, the Archdemon's soul jumps into the Warden, that one also dies, and the Archdemon is defeated! Sorry this ran a bit long, but, I just wanted to add why the Blood Angels are similar to the Grey Wardens. Keep it up, man!
I played DAO nine years ago. Totally forgot about the Grey Wardens. 😂 Thank you for commenting. I got reminded and got a dose of nostalgia for Dragon Age. 😁
I may not be the biggest Blood Angel fan, but I can't deny their Strength or their Heart; FOR THE- *ahem* For the Angel. Shout out to the Lamenters, they've been through a lot , but they're still standing. And they may have been assholes, but they gave it all for their Brothers nonetheless, Rest Easy, Knights of Blood.
Loving the Warhammer 40k content! I haven’t gotten into the game but I’ve always loved intricate lore from worlds. Listening to your videos calms me and fascinates me every time! Massive W from The Ashen Hollow
I hardly never write comments, but now my time has come. I really apprechiate these WH40k lore videos. The are interesting, but also relaxing - perfect for me to relax and sleep to. Greetings from germany.
I love that I discovered this channel! For the love of Big E, please keep up all the hard work. 😁 Can you please do a lore video dedicated to the Necrons?
Thanks dude! Well the plan right now is to get 3 separate videos for each faction out there, starting with their lore from 8th edition up till 10th! (well, when each of their respective 10th editions drop lol)
Dude I requested you to change or remove the rain backdrop sound and the light fire crackle sounds way better to me so thanks for that, definitely subbed for such a little change and on that note could I request you make a tzeentch lore asmr video in the future lol
Bro the blood angels we compared to the world eaters (not the war hounds) during the start of the great crusade and they nearly got the same fates as the forgotten and the purged.
The lore mixup is understandable. Sometimes the codex and novels don’t match. @Thesandmanofterra covers this in his newest video about the Star child. It would be like reading the Bible versus reading an autobiography of Jesus. Something’s are going to be embellished, dramatized, or just straight up dogma in the Bible versus what actually happened.
Not to be mean, its always good to see people getting in to 40k lore, but there is so much wrong in this video. This is the most basic verison of the lore.
I read this straight from the Blood Angel Codex. So if you believe the lore here from Games Workshop's universe is wrong, well then you'll have to take that up with Games Workshop. 🤷
Like I said I mean no disrespect and in no way I'm I trying to talk down to you. The lord give in the codex is an incomplete frame work with many outdated and retconed facts.it dose not reflect the fact that they were hated by the other legions and were seen as blood thirsty cannibals. The legion was split and had to do only the worst of missions.they are all affected by the red thirst. The black rage didn't affect them till after the death of their Primarch. I didn't mean to upset you with my comment. I'm passionate about 40k and would hate to see new people be misinformed about one of the greatest and most complex story ever written.
You're all good dude, I believe you. As someone who is still relatively new to WH40k lore, I was just letting you know where I was getting all the stuff I said, haha! I initially wanted to do a trilogy of sorts for each of the factions/races with their 8th edition codex, then their 9th, and then their 10th whenever it releases. But if there's outdated and retconned stuff it may just be the safer bet to do the latest 9th edition ones, until all the 10th ones are out. Because I do like that the codex's kind of set the foundation of lore up!
