ItalianSpartacus, your voice keeps me warm on my lonely nights of uni all nighters. I've pretty much been listening to warhammer lore for the last 12 hours straight
*Khainite, not Khainte. I want to say that Kharibdyss is written correctly but you could write in like five different ways and I would probably say "Yeah, that's how you write it. Let's move on"
Dude the dark elves are my favorite faction in Warhammer, love them. So excited to see Cold One Knights and War Hydras in action, and the weirder units too like the Scourgerunner and the Warlocks. You got it backwards for the Hydra buddy. It loses attacks as it loses heads, so at the start of the battle it has 8 attacks (3 for claws and such +5, one per head) and loses one attack as it loses a head, it's 5 wounds representing the 5 heads.
I love to paint along these ! I especially appreciate the lenght ! I´ve been a fan of the Old World for like 20 years, good to come back to good times trough your vids.
man i feel ya haha- with the age of sigmar a huge chunk of my fantasy life "came to an end." glad i could provide some good background while you're straining to finish off those edge highlights ;) more to come! lizardmen are on the horizon!
thank you very much! I do what i can.. sometimes i miss them in between sleeping, but i like to think i catch a solid 90% of them hahah thank you also for subscribing! :D
Only just found your channel but already in love with it. I'm a tabletop gamer from way back in 3rd edition and listen to your lore hammer vids whenever I play tww now.
Just to help with clarification, the war hydra gets an extra attack per wound it has left so each head gets an attack until it's cut off. So the hydra is stronger the healthier it is. They better add actual breath weapons to dragons/hydras...the hydra's breath weapon is also stronger with each head it has left. It has 8 attacks at full health and down to 4 when it has 1 wound left then dies.
absolutely man, thanks for clearing that up. one of the other viewers said the same thing- i had gotten confused while reading it and was like- "that.. .doesn't... seem right." appreciate the fact a correction! :)
ItalianSpartacus saw that you've done a bloodlines series so will watch those next. Just love your take on the units and the little lore blurb you give each one. Really adds to the appreciation of what is some superb lore
Lee Jenkins thanks man! I've been playing Warhammer for just under 20 years I'd say and it's been a huge part of my formative life.. So I take all of this to heart. I used to eat breathe and sleep Warhammer!
I definitely think the world could use a breakdown of magic. not just to get an idea of what's coming, but to know what is missing or could potentially be added to the lores we already have. Plus, magic. Shit is dope son.
So just a critique, I know it would take much more work. But I think your first Lore video about elves (High Elves) was great in that you spoke with your own words and just felt so much more lively. Reading from the book is great but I guess as my own opinion I prefer the tone of voice over the word descriptors involved in the books. That or practice speaking the volumes prior. Overall I really enjoyed the info and loved the side comments on how the units would play out in TW WH
great notes! thanks man, i appreciate it. i try to, for these, just give straight from the book information.. with the other video i just go off of my knowledge and stream of conscious. i'll work on it for the next one and get more commentary in there! thanks for watching :D
just think about it, after hearing how evil and dickish the dark elves are, the end times made them the good guys the entire time lol, all hail eternity king malekith, true lord of the elves
ItalianSpartacus Either one would be great. was also wondering about your general opinion on the ogre kingdom faction. I mean i think they're awsome! An entire army of monsters and monstrous infantry charging towards an army smashing into them like a tidal wave! cant get better than that
so i used to play against them primary when i played TT. one dude at my local store always brought his OK army and it was a PAIN my first time around. they have very high toughness, very high attack/wounds, and when they crash into army they have "impact hits," meaning that before the unit can even attack, they take damage. half of what makes elves so powerful is their ability to "always strike first" in a game of taking turns rolling dice. so! they butchered me my first game, my second? i learned how to play them.. they're susceptible to heavy AP armies, or just mass amounts of wounds. the trick is charging them, so i used to use my swordmasters, okkam's mind razor, and razor banner and just cut them to ribbons.. but i do love the army thematically- this gigantic mongul themed fiends. REALLY awesome
ItalianSpartacus Thanks for the insight!! ill Definitely keep that in mind if i ever start playing tabletop. As of now i only own a few models. And definitely!! ogres are one of my top four favorite factions in warhammer
Hey Italianspartacus. You could actually do the existing armies (orcs, dwarfs,...) as well. It's always fun to compare the TT models and what's in the army book with the game. :)
You put effort in it, and it shows, well done, I cannot wait to play Dark Elves, as I did play Mark of Chaos Battle March, I suppose they will do something similar to the Army Roster there, maybe you should try that game out, as Skaven can be plaid there as well, and sometimes they yell out that particular clan name you got a lil wrong
thank you!! i try to get as much information out there for you guys. i did play mark of chaos! i was lamenting about battle march when i was making this vid to Turin haha.. what a great series, just a BIT too slow, with some minor problems :(
From the dark elf armybook about Hellebron "So it is that for many nights of the year, Hellebron holds court hooded and cloaked to conceal her haggard appearance" So sad that she probably wont be in the game! ideal choice for a H2H campaign
Very entertaining video man! You are doing fine work with these lorehammer videos! Are we going to see just lizardmen after this or are you planning to keep going with other factions books too? Again, thanks for the video!
i do plan on going further, but i'm trying to get a sense for what ya'll want: would you want more unreleased armies? Tomb Kings, Ogre Kingdoms, Chaos Demons- or more of the already released stuff? Bretonnians, Wood Elves, etc.?
Chaos demons would be neat, as they shed some light into the future of chaos Warriors. I heard the demons were "op" at some point in the tabletop too, so maybe you could shed some light into that on the video. But anything goes really. The warhammer world lore is very interesting and you have the gift of speech to share it with us! Really appreciate the work you are doing man!
thanks man! i get kinda patchy here n there so i'll be sure to kind of "rehearse" before i do the lizardmen one. yeah the demons were very OP in 8th edition, but the high elves and their "banner of the world dragon" made demon players cry... HARD. you know something's wrong when the OP army goes, "That's OP!"
Great stuff! Can't wait for the lore and even less for the actual game! I've got some interesting ideas the campaign mechanics for the skaven that could be interesting (although maybe not to lore friendly.)
So after watching your skaven loremaster vid I started to think about how CA will implement skaven in the campaign. Obviously they'll have the underground stance like the greenskins and dwarfs but what els. So I was thinking what if they break up the mid to high tier units to be clan specific (as they mostly are from my understanding) and that you can on recruit rat ogers, for example, if you've taken over a specific clan molder settlement or province. The same goes for each clan. This should just kind of show the infighting of the skaven. So also depending on which legendary lord you pick you'll already be in one of the clans so you'll have access to their units. I think this will make playing the skaven a ton of fun as you are building you're own story before taken on the other races... Thoughts?
they are indeed! just around the corner! I like to release them on Wednesdays as part of a Warhammer Wednesday, so I'm trying to get it out this week or next!
Can you do a vid on the ogre kingdoms? Really love your lore videos. I would love to see you cover the ogre kingdoms as they are my favorite faction aswell as the tomb kings seeing as both of theese are leeaked to be dlc for warhammer 2.
Can you make a video speaking of the difference between woodelfs in Total war: warhammer and in the Tabletop game (if there are too few, maybe just some lore on them) EDIT: some spelling mistake
duude! do you also play legacy in magic the gathering? What do you say about top being banned? :D #off-topic nice video! I love the warhammer world. Eventhough I stopped playing, I collected like all the army books. So many cool stories, places and characters.
Nikolas Ditz I actually do play magic! So does Turin. He's a big ECH guy and I really enjoy limited, so I haven't gotten a chance to see what the ban was all for! Thanks for watching brotha! :D
death hags would clearly boost population growth. imagine you are a dark elf fella walking down the street with your lady and happen apon one of these little ladies gyrating around. "We gotta go home, right now!" you say. "What? Why?" says your lady friend. "Never mind we need to pick up a whip too." you wisper insistently "Huh? What the hell for?" "Just do this for me!"
good, I've been binge-ing all these in a row while I listen to them in the background of playing TW warhammer. this one was just a little hard to hear behind the TW sound effects.
I thought you were going to review the units and talk about lore But it seems this is basically just lore with images of the tabletop and NOT from total warhammer Dunno, honestly seems like bait and switch
@@italianspartacus I see, thanks for clearing that up. Do you have TW2 unit/lore videos that are not speculation? Like, you show the units as they are and such
