@@yashronaldo30 These are the settings that work for me and give me the best results on a 1-minute chart but YMMV and this is not financial advice, proceed with care and always use paper-trading with fake money until you feel confident enough to trade your hard-earned cash: Source: close, neighbors count: 1, max bars back: 9000 (this is for testing only while tweaking your settings, put it back to the default 2000 or even less when you're happy with your settings otherwise it will eat a lot of server power and performance will be impacted), color compression: default (1). Feature engineering: I leave all these at default values for the moment but will probably explore further at a later time. Filters: all disabled. Kernel settings: check 'trade with kernel' if you want to trade with... well, kernel and change regression level to 21, enhance kernel smoothing lag: enabled, 1. If you want to trade with buy and sell signals only, disable 'trade with kernel' and change regression level to 1 (this is for scalping which I do a lot, increase this value if you want less trades). Display and style settings are up to you. Hope this helps.
You can forget the approach, why? ...which settings worked well for you?.... You have to learn when to use which system! We have tested thousands of EA and the smallest parameter changes at the right time are crucial! A system works very well, the behaviour of the market changes and it produces losses that make it crack. 95% of traders don't even understand how the indicator works and, above all, at what point it fails! Exactly when it starts to fail is decisive for the system. Then another system must be used that works better and is suitable at that time. The best programmers have not yet managed to programme such dynamic models completely. What a person can take in once on the chart and subconsciously immediately see what is going on through many years of experience of 1000s of hours is still beyond computer models at present. Top trader intuition and what self-developed indicators and mental algos are, is still in a different league! We had a meeting 30 years ago meeting with a leading company in AI. 25% of our trading approach was already pushing the boundaries! What has changed today, NOTHING! On the contrary, today's much larger and faster data volumes mean that there are now even more problems processing them! Response times have become extremely short. But we are only talking about one thing that we trade and not 10-14! You have to learn to filter the most important data that is relevant and use it to make trading decisions. You can already see what happens with the AI approach with 3 indicators! You have to use probability calculations and filter where it makes sense to limit the data. What you see in the overall picture of a chart as a person is the psychological state of the market participants in the price! That's what my first mentor told me. I only really understood it later after I did the NLP Master training. One trend reversal alone is already 5 phases that have an effect. Whereby the downward trend reversal is different to an upward trend reversal! The trend phases are built up in 4 phases, and the behaviour of the downward trend is also completely different! But most of the money is sunk in the reversal phases! So 18 phases that you can work on mentally to be a top trader, or rather they are the under radar traders as Raschke says and put everything in the shade! Such types are born autodidacts and also partial or full autists! They have the charts all memorised in their heads in every phase with all chart features including indicators! What others spend 20000 hours learning hard, they do in one day! Get more involved with the brain and how it works faster and better than with algo programming! These guys do the Harvard test where Harvard students need 40 seconds and Gates 20 seconds in 7-15 seconds! Their emotional IQ, which is much more meaningful than normal IQ, is between 190-210! Statement from the guys, who is so stupid and programmes algos that only work in some areas! If it were feasible to programme it in all its phases, they would have done it long ago! That's why you have approximation models like in the video and the rest is a matter for the brain to learn! The very good approximation model with AI in the video he shows already has the right indication for analysing where the market stands.

You obviously put a lot of work into creating this Lorentzian indicator. Appreciate you sharing it. 1) How best to achieve Highest Compounding Effect with a High Win rate (which gives less trades) and a Lower Win rate (which gives more trades)? 2) For the Feature Engineering, can other Features be added, such as MACD (positive slope, negative slope, above or below baseline), Stochastic RSI (overbought, oversold), The Greeks (Delta, Gamma) and confluences amongst these indicators? I currently use these in my trading system. Can discuss with you.
Because of the option to change how many features the ML uses you could figure this out by testing. Utilizing external indicators would almost be the same as adding an additional feature. The key is for the user or bot to adhere to the new feature when creating the condition for long, short, endlong and endshort. For a bot you would have to add in an extra condition for those variables. For a human now you would have to take into account the new indicator and your rule around it then the ML indicator itself does most of the work with the buy/sell labels.

Hi Justin, as an older fellow, I am impressed with your "questions" of the world around you. As questions are the measure of intelligence not the answers. Granted, there are answers here your video, but, I bet you asked many questions to come up with this stuff. Thank you. I have never even come close to trusting any indicator on a 1m timeframe, but this looks very good. Quick question, why Heiken-Ashi over regular candlesticks? if that question requires too much thought, or is too complicated, to answer here in this medium, I understand. Your "winrate" stats go from like 60% to 90% in Heiken-Ashi. I can read a regular candlestick pattern, which I used yesterday and won five straight trades. This video here enhanced my setup on TradingView, so thank you!

There is a problem with the backtesting method. Even if the winning rate is high, most of them will lose money if they apply fees and slippages and replace actual sales. Backtesting of the actual trading method should be applied. The backtesting adapter is also problematic. Trading signals are occasionally repainted! High time frames are okay, but repainting occurs in low time frames, so be careful.
Even in lower timeframe.... It's not repaintin' but we must wait till the bar has closed. I have been tryin' whether it's 1 minute Candlestick or 1 hour or 1 Day daily timeframe. .... It does NOT repaint....just needed to let the candle close completely. Cheers check back
@@individualinvestortrader007 For a quick test, repainting occurred when I proceeded in units of 30 seconds / 15 seconds / 5 seconds.It is an extreme test, so credibility may be reduced. Anyway, the problem is that the back test method is wrong. I think it's a structural problem with the back-testing program.
Is it good for confluence trading though ? I usually trade based on price action along with Fibonacci ret. But this seems attractive to me I am going to try it tomorrow. I trade in Nifty/Bank Nifty Options in 3/5/15 min timeframe.

absolutely amazed at the functionality this provides, thank you. I applied the settings you talked about in the video and it has improved the efficiency, less noise, fewer but more accurate signals. I will be using it for scalping in the range of 5m up to 1H or even 4H. Usually I look for the sweet spot that offers the shortest timeframe and the highest win rate %. Are there any other indicators you can think of that would be of benefit alongside your indicator?
Definitely, there are a lot of good indicators out there. Some of them written by me, some of them written by others. It all depends on what you are trying to accomplish at the end of the day. When I have time I'll definitely make more videos of some of my other indicators that I think will pair well with this one. But for now, I would recommend the Nadaraya-Watson Rational Quadratic Kernel as it can be calibrated similarly to the kernel in this indicator, and it can also be used to provide additional confirmation of a trend change if you consider the crossovers it has with another kernel with slightly different settings like I showed in the video. Also, the "Economic Calendar Events" indicator that I mentioned in this video is also quite useful and updated regularly be me do you have the latest upcoming calendar events, so that is definitely worth checking it out if you haven't already. When I get a chance, I'll do my best to create more content for you all and more guides for how to best use these indicators and one similar to them.

Great explanation, I have used your indicator for about a year now and have had mixed results but it would of been a profitable year if I had stuck to my R/R strategy, I am still using it as with practice and better entry and exits I believe this works well. also I had been trading without the EMA and SMA filter which probably didn't help. Anyway I just want to say thank you for this indicator it has been of great help, You deserve all the props you get.

First, thank you very much for this great tool!! I've just worked on hundreds of different possible backtests using different strategies. The 12hrs timeframe, with a 0.2 regime filter threshold, works well for BTC. I'm looking deeper into the trade closes, and some may be closing too early, even if dynamic. Are you using the recommended exits or just open signals to change the trade direction on a swing trading style?
