The best female country singer ever. I know a lot of people are into Dolly but I think Loretta had her beat by a mile. Plus Loretta isn't a phoney and is all her true self. My dad loved her, as matter of fact my mom almost resembled her and their birthdays were the same month just a couple of days off and where the same age. My dad was not too far from her place while growing up and my grandpa worked in the coal mines in Kentucky. Guess my dad picked the right woman. Have to agree with him she was the best of any country female singer.
