KY 49 is 57-mile-long (92 km) long and begins at an intersection with U.S. Route 150 (US 150) in Bardstown and travels south towards Loretto. It then heads east-southeast concurrent with KY 52 to Lebanon. It splits with KY 52 in Lebanon and goes southeast to Bradfordsville. After that, it terminates in Liberty, at an intersection with KY 70.
KY 52 is a 167 mi (269 km) long east-west state highway managed by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.
Its western terminus is at US 62 near Boston, Kentucky. It goes through Nelson, LaRue, Marion, Boyle, Garrard, Madison, Estill, Lee, and Breathitt counties. Its eastern terminus is at KY 30 in Breathitt County. It runs through Lebanon, Danville, Lancaster, Richmond, and Beattyville.
In 2005, the 4 mi (6.4 km) five-lane stretch of KY 52 in Madison County was completed. It now goes from the Richmond By-Pass to Charle Norris Road in Robinsville. Plans are underway to widen the highway from Richmond to Irvine.[2][3] The road has also received improvements from Lancaster to I-75. In Boyle County the concrete deck of a bridge was recently replaced.
KY 152 is a 51.491-mile-long (82.867 km) state highway that runs from KY 49 north of Loretto to U.S. Route 27 (US 27) and Galilee Road north of Bryantsville via Springfield, Mackville, Harrodsburg, and Burgin.
