Please don't try to force your way of pronouncing a word on others. In the UK it is bee-tah, just like I say herb instead of erb and other classics. I hate it when people do this like they own my language. And if you want to really dig down into it, search "beta greek pronunciation" and it will show they say Vita or Vee-tah. The sheer arrogance to randomly turn up and tell me how to pronounce a word and you think I should listen? Not phrased like "I always thought it was bay-tah, is it different where you live?" No, just essentially shouting at me to change how I say Beta. The Internet truly is full of first world problems. I meant no malicious in those words, just simply pointing out a difference and it was not shouting at you, It can’t, doesn't even with an exclamation point. Ok, I apologise for my anger on my part.
