I love all of the quilts today! When you were talking about the orange peel quilting pattern, I was reminded of something I wanted to share with you that my grandma always told me. I had a tendency to be very OCD and I wanted everything to be just perfect! She would tell me, ‘Practice makes you better but remember, God is the only one who’s perfect!’ Sometimes, I have to stop and remind myself of her wisdom even today!🥰

I really like the how well the cream pantograph shows up on backing of Sandy's lovely black/cream/golds quilt❣️It truly could be a reversible quilt. Stunning adequately describes this quilt, Tammie. I also am inspired by the panel quilts.

My favorite this week is the back of the “Be My Always” quilt. That braid and the way it is set is so creative and perfect for that quilt. I’m sure that I’ll shamelessly copy that idea at some point. Another idea that drew my attention was the use of the disappearing nine patch blocks for the border on the “You Are Magic” panel. I would never have thought of that, but it just turned out so good with that panel! My big lesson today is that I need to stretch my imagination and come up with some of those ideas on my own!

Watching your show is like a mini quilt show. I absolutely love it. I especially enjoy your long armers perspective. I still send my quilts out and love my long armer but it sure makes me appreciate all that goes into it that makes the price totally worth it! Beautiful quilts this week as always! I got the perfect idea for a panel I have. 😊

Perfectly said...and in my opinion even better than a quilt show with all the explanations of how pantographs fit together and how much attention is needed in setting up quilts so the pantos fit together on them. Tammie appears to be a master at that! My longarmer is about to retire and I am considering asking Tammie to do a couple of my quilts.

Tammy I took an old treadle machine that had been in a fire took the machine out painted the cabinet ivory, left the drawers the stained color( it was not one that was worth anything) made it so the drawers could be opened while the top was closed. Put a bowl sink on top attached a faucet and that is now our main bathroom cabinet. I store extra towels for guest below on the treadle. I just love it.

Beautiful quilts and quilting! Such creativity! I've heard you talk about the Joy Filled sew along with your Quilters Circle a few times, but today it occurred to me that I have that pattern set aside with a fat eighths bundle of Corey's older Spring Brook line. Guess I need to sew mine too! 😄

The first quilt pattern is Christmas Pickle Quilt Pattern by Nancy Smith & Lynda Milligan of Possibilities. I think it was available as a single pattern booklet but also in one of their books..

Every time that I start watching one of your videos, I keep wanting to ask about your set up for taking such clear, professional looking photos of your quilts that are shown in the introductions. I just started watching this video and thought that now would be the perfect time to ask, while it is on my mind. Now I will go back to watching and admiring your beautiful work. :)

Great question June! Thanks for your kind comments. I take all my pictures on our covered front porch. I pick a bright day but wait until the sun is not directly shining on the quilts. I have tried pictures indoors but I NEVER get the same result. Cross stitch, product photos, and even quilt blocks are all done on the porch (even in winter 🥶) but so far that’s what works for me. I’m using my iPhone and taking LOTS of pictures. Over the years I’ve narrowed down the shots I like best and stick with those. I hope that helps.

I just love how you describe your process and give pattern names. I bought the Soho design and used it yesterday to quilt and finish my last UFO and oh what a feeling to have no more so today i can start a new project. Can you please ask Judy the name of the heart pattern? I love it. And her backing is wonderful. All the quilts were amazing today.
