@@teeth87 Different techniques serve different purposes. Eg. You can't use heel-toe without triggers, but heel-toe + triggers results in the tight "machine gun" type sound.

Heel-toe can be used without triggers. And triggers doesn't magically make a drummer clean and consistent. Triggers work just like plugged electric guitars.

unpopular opinion: i like Tom better than CJ. will is obviously the favorite but i don't really care for CJs vocals. the immortal cd is absolutely amazing. i just prefer tom to cj

@@beano_burrito I liked CJ's vocals a lot, but I think that Will fits Lorna better. I have similar feelings about Tom, He fits Darko and Chelsea Grin better IMO, all three are still amazing in their own right though.

Instead of this new guy trying prove that he sounds good which he obviously does. What he should focus on is better vocal patterns and improving his writing because those are major weaknesses that fortunately for lorna shore not many seem to be catching. Lol people try to act like this new guy is a total upgrade when he’s actually not. I love Lorna shore but I mean read the track titles from the Two previous albums and compare them to this new ep. Judging by the progress he made in the new ep sounds like he’s starting to go the right direction. I’m posting this in case the guy can read this which I’m sure he will be able to Because the guy really needs to start using a dictionary during his writing. They day that he does he will be SO MUCH BETTER than he is now.

Legit, been listening to deathcore and this sort of thing for as long as I can remember but this mans on a whole different level

Will gave CJ vocal lessons before CJ joined Lorna so it makes sense that he'd know his style pretty well

The band as a whole and the old school blackened death mixed with newer death core strikes the perfect tone. It's definitely the whole band that creates this

Naw, his band mates here get all my attention. They've made many amazing albums before he came around, they'll make many more when he bounces. They're absolutely amazing

He's playing good BUT.. the bassdrum trigger sound is WAY too loud. Like.. overwhelming loud. Second guitar isn't audible at all. Overall mix is pretty horrible. HOpe it's directly from the board and not an actual remixed version. EDIT: Bassdrum shouldn't be louder than all the other instruments. Ever. Except your band is called The Prodigy.

I was there, and I clogged the toilet by putting a whole roll of toilet paper in it and then taking a dump on top of the toilet paper roll. I laughed as people got angry and screamed “who did this?!”

At these speeds triggers are a must. Otherwise you couldn't hear the individual kicks, only a muffled mess.
