I can't stop thinking about this song...still recovering. Excited to listen to more Lorna Shore! (and scared) Love ya! Chapters 0:00 intro 1:45 reaction 8:55 thoughts Watch To The Hellfire Music Video • LORNA SHORE - To the H...
Will Ramos is a beast! Truly amazing vocalist. Definitely takes a while to get an ear for death core but once you do you'll start to make out more of the lyrics. Check out his live one takes to really grasp his talent. Also, the charismatic voice put a camera down his throat to see how he makes these sounds and if he's causing any damage, it's worth the watch. BTW he's not.
Okay, but like, why tf would you type that if u not into Wills talent? Like, go to ur dani flith or filth whatever his name is. Noone really cares @@dcmastermindfirst9418
As someone has already said, might as well do the Pain Remains trilogy now. No spoilers, but bring tissues and something to hug. Also, To The Hellfire was their first single with this vocalist, and everyone thought the previous vocalist was unmatchable, so they came out with this as a bit of a statement, it's meant to be pretty ridiculous. The vocalists name is Will Ramos and to answer your question if the high scream and low scream are the only 2 voices he does, well no. He also sings clean, just not in Lorna Shore. Beyond the clean singing though, this guy has the most different kinds of screams I've heard used on an album before. It's kinda nuts.
This kind of music is an acquired taste, but once you've ACQUIRED that taste, it takes a hold of you and doesn't let go. It has for me. I LOVE watching the reactions of a virgin brain to this type of stuff, and yours was a classic. Check out the singer doing a one-take vocal performance of this track, and then watch The Charismatic Voice as they stick a camera down his throat to see what's going on when he does what he does (just don't watch that while you're eating). Then watch the 'Pain Remains' trilogy, for another, different type of headf*ck....
"He sounds like he's dying! " Yep, that's kinda the premise of the song in simple terms. Good reaction! Watch some of his one take videos to see that he does this quite effortlessly.
I love this music, it's actually peaceful and therapeutic for me for some reason. Leaving work after a stressful day and jamming to this in my car is my favorite part of my commute.
It’s always funny to hear people say the vocals are scary because Will Ramos is one of the nicest guys in metal. As others have said, he truly has the personality of a golden retriever. Super friendly and bursting with energy. If you ever watch an interview with him you’ll wonder how it’s the same person who creates these demon sounds. He’s insanely talented though and I’d highly recommend some of his one take performances of these songs on his channel. He doesn’t “sing” in Lorna Shore but he’s done some covers of bands like sleep token and actually has a great normal singing voice too.
"I want to listen to them again" Reguarding the instrumentation, means you will inevitably wind up loving this song. I as someone who has listed to a ton of this style music in the past, took about 5 listens before it finally clicked in my brain, and i was like HOLY SHIT, this might be the best thing ive heard in a long time! You need to listen to here the Pain Remains Trilogy. I would reccomend just watching the whole trilogy with lyrics in one go through.
Funny thing about Will Ramos is that he is full nightmare fuel demon when it comes to vocals, but as a person he is the closest thing human can get to a Labrador puppy, atleast according to everywhere he has appeared. Like many here has already mentioned you should totally check out Pain Remains trilogy with music videos. Most beautifull music piece that has come this century.
I've been watching reactions to this song for a long time now, and yours is my new favorite! I could really see that you were truly experiencing the music. Lorna Shore is my favorite band, and this is my second favorite song. First, however, is their Pain Remains Trilogy. Never has music affected me in the way Pain Remains does. I recommend having the lyrics up on the side or finding a video that has all three songs stitched together with the lyrics added in as well, there are a few of them out there. Welcome to Deathcore!
The song is about the process of dying and going to hell, which it why it sounds like he sounds like he's dying and being possessed by a demon. Only their songs Into the Earth and Welcome Back O' Sleeping Dreamer have horror movie like music videos, so avoid those if you don't like horror movies. Check out Of the Abyss and And I Return to Nothingness, and also the Pain Remains Trilogy (it makes people cry, so bring tissues. Also be careful of the official video for Pain Remains 2 if you are sensitive to depictions of suicide.) Will has a wide variety of screams, not just the ones he has on this song. He never sings on Lorna Shore song, but he does have clean singing covers on his personal RU-vid Channel (thewillramos).
Since everyone is already singing the praises of Will's vocals and you mentioned the drummer several times, I will shout out the drummer Austin Archey. You should checkout out some of his drum playthroughs. His parts are insane and he makes them look EFFORTLESS! I recommend the playthrough of "Cursed to Die" to start. :)
Definitely gotta checkout deathcores favorite golden retriever. Will’s live vocal one takes are remarkable. Highly recommend checking out Lorna Shore Sun//Eater (Will Ramos live vocal one take)
Whoever recommended this was waiting for your reaction to the snorts and snarls at the end, no doubt in my mind. Awesome reaction! Amazed you went from dipping your toe in the pool to drowning in the spillhole at a sewage management facility. 🤘
I just started following you guys from your first pain remains reaction, and your reaction here was everything I was expecting and hoping for, in a good way haha. Pretty impressive seeing y'all go from a 2 to a 12 on intensity from slipknot to these guys, I chuckled at that a bit. This song was Will Ramos' debut as this band's new vocalist, so I think alot of the insane swings in his sounds he makes in this song was kind of like a real intense "flex/proving" of his range, vocal projection, technique, etc. They're always this intense, but the more of their songs you hear after this, the more (at least how i hear it) Will kind of settles down a hair with the drastic snaps to different techniques into more decisive patterns. Excited to hear the rest of your pain remains reactions, but again, PLEASE try to find a way to read the lyrics as you listen. The clarity of fully knowing their words on top of that intensity is a whole other dimension of the emotional Rollercoaster those songs are gonna put you on. God bless and sorry for the story book comment!
Here, 3 months late, to say yes, he does sing! His name is Will Ramos. He did a cover of Chokehold by Sleep Token a little while ago that's really good. He also just did a cover of another Sleep Token song called Dark Signs that I'm fucking obsessed with. Chokehold does have some "demon" in it, but it's only for a short part of the song. Dark Signs is demon free! Dark Signs doesn't have a video, unfortunately, but it'd be really cool to see a reaction to one/both of them! I think you'd be pleasantly surprised by them.
Lorna Shore is so good. They have some of the best breakdowns where it feels like a punch to the gut and takes your breath away. I love the feeling of grabbing on to the symphonic melody while this chaos is around me. For my A.D.D mind it really calms me down. The lead singer’s character vocals are amazing. He does one take vocal performances on his RU-vid channel TheWillRamos. The Pain Remains trilogy is incredibly moving. Maybe listen to a couple more songs before you get to it or not. Either way nice reaction. 🤘😈🤘
I find that great art can often be challenging, but the fact that it helps to broaden your thoughts of what is possible speaks to it's value. It can be hard when surprised by something to not push it away because it doesn't easily fit into the realm of your previous experience but if you let it sit with you and revisit it so the surprise wears off a bit, you can often find that your appreciation will grow as you allow it become familiar. Props for not dismissing it even though you might not have been ready for it's intensity.
for some its the vibe of the music. just the perfection of harmonies and intense insturmentals along with brutal vocals. its almost calming in a way. and then for some its just heavy lifting gym music. also other songs to check out would be the pain remains trilogy (you need the lyrics up for those), and i return to nothingness, and if you want to see his actual singing voice chokehold and hypnosis are sleep token covers will ramos did that are amazing. he still gets into the screams at some points but he has a great boice too
This is all Will's vocals. The man has insane range and has joined up with Chris Liepe and Elizabeth Zharoff of The Charismatic Voice to produce a course focused on teaching his techniques. I am one of their students and couldn't be happier with what I got out of this. Check out the Pain Remains trilogy if you want to see how powerfully harsh vocals can convey deep emotions. Disclaimer: If you're triggered by self harm, this is your warning. No further spoilers. It's a masterpiece!
This album hasn't left my car ever since it came out. They're also awesome live! Will is a fountain of joy when he's not scaring the crap out of you.^^ Check out Cursed To Die, that might be a little more easy to get into.
Will is the top tier in metal vocals, but also is David from Signs of the Swarm, and you should definitely check them out. A good song is Amongst the Low and Empty. Cheers!
Will's one take playthrough of this song is worth a watch too should try Death Portrait by Lorna Shore, it features the vocalist before Will, thats another top notch song and vocalist in the Death Core scene(honestly he is my favourite vocalist at the moment) Shadow Of Intent- From Ruin, We Rise is a great song too. their vocalist Ben is insane at range, like Will as others have suggested try the Pain Remains Trilogy..its almost broke the RU-vid algorithm when they came out BUT bring tissues and a soft pillow to hug.... another great song from that album which gets overlooked is Soulless Existence, bit of a long one but its musicality is phenomenal!! check out Hypnosis Sleep Token cover by Will Ramos...the dude can sing!!!! honestly would love an album of his normal singing to be honest
Will doesnt sing in any Lorna Shore songs, but his personal channel has several vocal covers. My personal favorite is his cover of Slow Dancing In The Dark by Joji. Also, if you end up checking out more Lorna Shore DO NOT watch the video for Welcome Back O Sleeping Dreamer. That video is extremely gorey and horror based. I like horror movies and that video made even me wanna gag a little lol.
The irony of you being scared by Will is that he’s like the sweetest dude lol. You have to watch Pain Remains trilogy.. at least Dancing Like Flames. I think you’ll love it
I highly recommend listening/watching Will Ramos doing his one take of this song for your channel. Will is one of the nicest people you'll see on RU-vid. He just happens to have a demon voice. But he does have a good singing voice as well.
If you want to hear female vocals of this type, check out a band called 'Face Yourself'. The vocalist is called Yasmine and some people are comparing her with Will, Lorna Shore's vocalist.
Welcome to Lorna Shore, this is one of their harder songs. Did you know that they can also make you cry? React to their Pain Remains Trilogy. But there is a specific video someone made with all 3 original videos that also has lyrics.
One thing you HAVE to know about Will Ramos. The man is an absolute human golden retriever of a man. Just the biggest heart and truly a great person. Also, as scary as the vocals are it's just a style. This is not satanic. Will is actually of Catholic background and you really really should read the lyrics to this song and follow along while keeping the understanding that it is meant to be a warning to people to live a good life and not to fall into the kind of depravity that would send you below when you pass. It's written from the perspective of a bad man who passes away and is dragged down to hell and how he is succumbing to his fate.
Welcome to the wonderful world of Lorna Shore. Will is such a great vocalist and the musicianship is impeccable. If you want to hear Will actually sing check out his vocal covers of Chokehold and Hypnosis both originally by Sleep Token. His version of Chokehold, in mine and alot of others opinions, is better than the original. Love the reaction.
You should really really do the one take live Will has on his youtube, and read the lyrics, they're deep... Another one to try is Soulless Existence from the album... that is not music for the gods, it is music FROM the gods.... if you want more do a reaction to 115 elena siegman from Kasey Karlsen, she's another super talent :)
Honestly, I think you'll feel better about it if you watch his one take vocal playthrough of this song. It'll answer a lot of your questions lol. You should react to it on here!
Couple quick metal recommendations: "Kill Us" by Psyopus and "The Kingdom Sitteth Lonely Beneath Thine Hollowed Heavens" by Infant Annihilator. Have an excellent day! 👍
I mean the song is called to the hellfire. Supposed to sound like you are going to hell. The rest of this ep feeling is the same death damnation and rebirth
Even thou this is so old and "eveyone" have reacted to this... but still I just like this :-) The way you are "touched" by this is fantastic. And remember.... more priests have been in kids than demons :-) hahaha Death Core is a boring type of metal. I thinks death or black give me more and have more skill. Even thou Will Ramos is the master of growling!!!
Will Ramos is one of the most talented modern metal vocalists...dude can do just about anything. If you prefer more of the clean vocals, check out Will's cover of the song "Hypnosis" by Sleep Token in the link below. As a metalhead in my 40s it can take some time to get used to vocals like those in this song. Ease yourself into it, and I bet you'll find some songs that you can get into :). Link to Hypnosis cover: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-87xeb4DTIcY.html
I dont take the purpose of the vocals to convey words, but instead a feeling. I've gotten the most enjoyment out of listening to this while reading the lyrics. The lyrics are poetry and the song is emotion.
My Lorna shore recommendations would be To the abyss Sun//eater Cursed to die ...and I return to nothingness But I just saw some of your other videos with Slipknot you need to react to snuff I don't want to spoil to much but it's a touching song to say the least
