Police in Los Altos are hoping the public can help them solve an assault with a deadly weapon case involving an elderly victim, the department said Tuesday. Ian Cull reports.

This is what happens when a society normalizes people sleeping and living like animals on the streets. The richest country on the planet and still can't build low-income housing for people with problems that need help and medical care for physical and mental illness and addiction. He went down to visit his friend who was living under a bridge in the bushes. What is the matter with this sicko society?

Profit. That's it. There are people profiting off of funds designed to go toward homeless shelters and low income. Recently there was that low-income housing property that burned down and it wasn't even complete. Meanwhile around here all those new $4,000 dollar a unit apartments are going up. And the money? That went to water. Not back into the funds they needed, they handed it off to some complete other department. It's just a profit game to these people.

Crimes against the elderly, like crimes against children, need to be addressed with greater police resources and more significant penalties. That said, he's visiting areas where homeless folk live, by the railroad tracks? That is throwing caution to the wind, at any age.

I broke down in my rv there. Seriously. 3+ years ago. Aaa did me dirty. But? I got money. So I was fine. Scary to think about it. California is a septic tank.
