The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Training Academy is an intense 20 week academy, preparing you mentally and physically for the rest of your career in Law Enforcement.
I’m an explorer and my advisors train us as if we’re in academy (witch isn’t supposed to happen) but I can’t wait for when I can enlist to academy Sure it might be hard but I can definitely try
Ready to violate peoples rights? Sick fool. You know the number one job of these thugs is to protect and uphold the Constitution. Something you will never know about especially after completing this brainwashing. Good luck being a traitor to the American people 🇺🇲
Looks like fun yet with a modest physical and metal challenge. Being reasonably in shape will definitely get you a pass on the fitness side. I have currently applied online and waiting for a invite back
In Philippine If you want to be a high ranking police with the rank of police liutenant you will stay and live in the Philippine National Police Academy, for 4 years of training but if you want to start as a police officer 1 you need to finish your collage and need to accomplish the 1 year training, 6 moths for law enforcement training and onother 6 months for military Training our police force has a rigid training we woke up around 3 am in the morning and run about 7 miles with 10 kilos of racksack and sometimes our Cadre/ or training officer dont let us go to sleep sometime hazing is happening in inside or 1 to sawa wich means non stop exercise

Need advice....I just passed the LAPD written test and working on my Personal History application. I also have an appointment to take the test for LASD next month. I am 50 yr old. I am physically able to do the job(I think) I want to know your opinion on how what is the best agency would fit better for me.
I’ve applied for sheriffs and am currently going through the background investigation. I did not add 3 pass job working history due to being there less than 1 month, but am going to tell the investigator once I get contacted. Should I be worried at all?
After graduating from the academy, deputies are assigned to either courts, inmate transportation or a jail. They can request a transfer to one of the 3 assignments after 1 year. The time spent there is based on the patrol station he/she chooses to work. Some deputies are in patrol within months, while others can average 1-3 years.
Question to everyone: I just failed the Medical Exam for LAPD because I am colorblind (Red and Green).I am so disappointed coz I pass everything else. I also in the process in applying for Sheriff. I pass the written exam and I have a VPAT schedule in a few weeks. Should I bother to continue? I don't know if Los Angeles Sheriff Department take Colorblindness seriously.
We do have a vision test, that includes color blindness. Give a call to Occupational Health at (213) 738-2187. They should be able to answer your question regarding your specific vision.
Remember your oath is to the constitution and the people (your brothers and sisters) not to a handful of treasonous pedos caught on Epstein's cameras being blackmailed into handing your country over to a foreign power.
Hello, would all police departments within LA county do their academy here? And whats the schedule for this academy? Is it live-in? How long is the academy and where does it take place?
I just applied, Im 38 passed written, physical, & instructured interview. The hardest part of this hiring process so far is a 5 page written essay about your autobiography. lol
Do you mean ‘just’ as in during this Coronavirus time? I’ve been considering applying since someone I know who is a retired sheriff suggested it but I wasn’t sure if they’re hiring or taking applicants due to the pandemic.
@@breakingdan they are hiring right now, lets apply. I just received an email from them scheduling me 05/06/2020 to take the written exam, VPAT, and SI.
@@breakingdan I am an out of state applicant, everything went smoothly. Passed all 3 phases, then they sent me a personal history and ask me to fill out, then submit it through eHire. They said if I pass the background check (approx. 2-3 months), I will be able to take the return trip for the rest of the process.
@1:17 ....LASD should change gloves so the Deputy would have an opportunity to grab as well as strike the suspect. Boxing gloves kind of take that reality away.
Carlos Ventura in order to apply for deputy sheriff.... Apply at LASDcareers.org. If hired and accepted into an academy, after graduating from the academy, you’ll be assigned to courts, inmate transportation or a jail facility.
joinLASD perfect! And thank you for the response! I was not expecting a response so quickly! I really appreciate it! Do you know by any chance if this applies to Ventura county?
@@joinLASD how long is the academy, and how could I find out what a topical day at the academy is like when the DI aren't yelling or smoking the recruits?
@RobbyG It’s odd. You replied to this when I was just thinking about joining again. I would’ve done it probably a year ago or more but all I kept hearing is that the training is suspended. Do you know any new information regarding the status of the deputy training? I do not. What makes you want to apply and try to join the sheriffs?
As long as you are able to perform the duties of a Deputy Sheriff, you should have no issues. Give a call to Occupational Health at (213) 738-2187. They should be able to answer your question.
@@joinLASD okay because I joined the army but got discharged like the last week of basic training but I was able to go through it with no problems just that my drill sergeants didn’t know what it was and had me go to medical where they said I wasn’t able to continue but for me it wasn’t a problem.
I was thinking about this however I don't think I'd be able to even qualify. .. I got a tattoo on the neck ... Clean record, no tickets... Nothing bad in my name.. lol I just think the tats are a straight nope
You can have tattoos, but they cannot be gang related, drug related, or derogatory in any manner. They also cannot be on the neck, hands, face or ears. They must be covered while in uniform.
I just saw a videos of a Sheriff Deputy seeing colors for the first time using those colorblind Glasses. the video is all over the RU-vid. MY QUESTION IS, I THOUGHT YOU CAN NOT BE COLORBLIND TO BE A SHERIFF???
The assignment after graduating in the LASD is to work the jails and deal with inmates from 6 months to 3 or 5 years depending on the field you decide to train on, while in the LAPD you go on patrol right after graduation.
At 34 seconds. That my buddy deputy white. He's cool as a fan and pretty chill. He always comes up to my job with ok to book. Lol 😆 I'm like what they do. He's like some bullshit 😂😂
They have GREAT Barbers, that will shave heads for free! "Come here boy, and sit in this here chair! Any lumps, bumps, are cuts on yo head, before I start cutting?"LOL!
Yes you do although the recruit training manual says that your hair can’t touch your ears or the back of your shirt collar LOL BELIEVE ME you’ll want to shave your head
I'm 22 and I work in armed security I do want to join LAPD and become an officer but of course I am over weight do I got have to lose it first before entering or will they accept me and I can lose it training with them
bernain molina we don’t have a height or weight requirement, but there is a physical ability test during the hiring process that must be passed. It’s also in your best interest to be in the best shape possible for our hiring process and if hired, the academy
Yes there is a height weight requirement I am 5’10” so I had to be 185 pounds. During my medical I didn’t make it through my weight but I made it through body fat. I was 187 pounds when I weighed in but my badly fat was low and that saved me
2:06 bro I got better skills than that. Sheriff's department you're going to have the best High Speed Chase Officer here! "I could've been a Driver, The way I push the whip!"
Well, go give it a try. A GySgt once told me it is tougher than his boot camp. It will not only drain you physically but also intellectually. Good luck.
@@tydang3582it’s always the military boys who think they’re untouchable lol. Being around LEOs my whole life they say this is way harder then boot camp 😂
It isnt harder but it isnt easy, either. The physical part is tough but not bad if you are in shape. The academic part is what screws most people up. Lots of tests and memorization. I went in 1987, I'm sure it is easier now, though.
Someone please explain to me why the LA County Sheriffs Department academy has to be run like a paramilitary organization? Just because you train someone to act like a drill sergeant, doesn't mean I or any member of the public will respond like a new recruit to be intimidated. Also, did you notice how no footage was shown of the recruits getting classroom instruction in de-escalation techniques or the psychology of street interactions with the public? This is why so many sheriff's department officers demonstrate inadequate knowledge of current law, like asking passengers in a car during a routine traffic stop for their identification.
People are going to try and intimidate them all the time in the public, if they can't keep their cool with someone screaming at them during the training then it's not for them.
They need to go do a reform at Twin towers Badly!! Starting with the female Captain then get rid off Javier Martinez who was Relieved of duty in 2012 n now running corrupt scheduling!!!

You have to experience that in your job with people yelling at you all the time, so they yell at you to prepare the stress that's going to come as a deputy sheriff.
