Lakers are just outmatched at this point. The Nuggets have fantastic chemistry and every man on the floor is a threat at all times. Lakers having played play-off intensity games for the last 2 months is probably having an impact too - they must just be spent at this point. This is why 1st seed still matters, lock it up early and you can rest and be ready for the playoffs. Nuggets did just that. Despite being a Lakers fan, it would be great to see them go all the way if this is how this series goes

I am Nuggets fan last couple of years and I am so glad to see that this small team from Colorado finally has the chance to go all the way to the end. They finally got everything what they need to be champions. Few amazing superstars, combination of young and experienced guys, good roster full with people who can really make impact from the bench, great coach, good support etc. It would be great to see them to raise the NBA Trophy this year. As a Warriors fan, I'm still livid at how we came out and now I'm seeing Murray and Porter Jr knocking down the shots Klay and Poole were supposed to be knocking, I can attest to that the Nuggets are def championship calibre. This is how the Warriors were supposed to be playing if other pieces showed up to help Steph Curry with the load. Anyway, congrats Denver. I foresee them winning it all if they keep knocking down these shots and play-making.

It conjured me of the 1985 NBA Finals when the Showtime Lakers wanted to break the curse (the Celtics had beaten them 8 straight times in the Finals). As a Laker fan, I understand the meaning of this achievement for the Nuggets, I respect them. A club which has earned no conference title so far compared to the LAL. In the postseason, Denver has faced the LAL 8 times and had lost the first 7 meetings (especially during the Kobe's era and no to mention during the 1980s), therefore they were so determined for revenge this year. The fact the Lakers entered the playoffs was a complete surprise as they had a 2-10 start. I bet they would get upset by Memphis in the 1st round but I was wrong. Same vs the GSW. This time they are underdogs. The 4 times when they beat the Nuggets, they were favorites and in addition to that, they had home-court advantage and ended up NBA champions. Even if we get swept, I would say : "Bravo guys, we are proud of you ! No one expected you to make it to the Conference finals. We'll be back..."

Few things: 1. People are getting lot of credit to Joker, but's is so much more. Healthy Nuggets have really interesting roster. A good, tall stretch shooters who are making their shots and going without the ball. Joker playing point center works because typically C is a slowest player, so when Jokic is passing offball movement is as fast as it can be for them. 2. Gordon + MPJ, when both on the floor, are diffucult matchup. They both matured as a players and are much better defenders compared to how they defended a few years before. Even if they are not playing great this game they needed to be reckoned with. Not to mention they are tall.. 3. Nuggets waits for double team and reward lone player. And he (no matter to whom the ball goes) is ready for that. Simple but great ball movement. 4. Jamal is in his own league this Playoffs. For me he is comparable to Jimmy Buckets this PO.

Getting absolutely killed by the motion, defense can’t keep on and the actions leave them in the dust or confused, Russell shouldn’t have played and Malone adjusting with Ag in screens, anyway a championship team punch another team in their mouth and goes for the kill, one of the biggest performance by a team in the road since spurs in 14 (destroying heat in Miami in game 3 and 4) that 3 qtr by Denver without Jokic won them the finals, Jokic being in the bench allowed him to close the doors in the 4qtr so happy for Denver and Jokic and Murray and mpj and Jeff, it isn’t over tho but as a spurs fan I’m super glad they are whipping everyone’s ass. Great basketball, great effort, great team and great Hof player right there probably 2, Murray is nasty.

My takeaway after the first 3 games is that the Denver Nuggets is the first seed not without reason, they just execute better when it matters the most. They deserve to be in this position. Bring on Butler vs Jokic in the finals, and I will take the Joker in 7.
