Los Angeles has rental electric bikes available at the metro bike rental stations now. In this video, I rent a Los Angeles metro Ebike I’ll show you how it works. If you are a tourist visiting Los Angeles, renting one of these metro electric bikes is a great way to see the beach and the city. You can rent a bike from any metro bike rental station and return it to any other station, so if you want to go from city to city, you can do that and only pay for the time you are riding the bike. The Los Angeles county metro rental Electric bike is set up with a mid drive motor and pedal assist, so the electric motor only works while you are peddling, and it gives you a little bit of assistance to make you go faster with less effort. You still have to pedal though. You can visit Los Angeles metro bike website to see current rates and also to find out where the rental stations are. Or you can download the phone app, which will tell you where the stations are so you can go there and rent an electric bike, or also rent a regular pedal bike. The electric bike costs a dollar more when you check it out, but it cost the same amount of money per hour to rent as a regular pedal bike. The only problem I had with my electric rental metro bike in Los Angeles was that the battery died after 7 miles. The rental machine will rent you a bicycle that has a dead battery, or almost dead battery, so always check the battery level before you rent an e-bike from the metro bike station. There is a link to the Los Angeles metro bike rental website, where you can see current electric bike rental prices, and also a map of all the stations in the city.
