Thanks Chris. Abbot Kinney is a default destination when we visit LA. A lot of businesses have changed in the last 5 years. We loved Alternative Clothing but alas it is no longer there 😢

Even though it's a trendy area, I like how they used the existing building for the shop instead of modernize the area.. A very interesting place for sure.Would like to try the unique ice cream flavors at Salt ans Straw. Thanks for sharing and take care.
Some stores stayed the same like the liquor store and many changed. I used to work there 12 years ago when it wasn't like it was today.. it was more of a "hippie" type back then. There was some drug deals on the back lots lol.. not sure if that's gone now..
Love the Salt and Straw on AK, can’t wait to be back in Venice august ‘24, from Australia! I didn’t get a good chance to check out Abbot Kinney last time, it was night and I was running out of time. Looking forward to exploring properly next year :)
A nice tour of Abbot Kinney, Chris. It's such a cool and unique area. Six months ago, I was a contestant on "The Price is Right." After the show, rather than driving home to the South Pasadena area, my friend and I drove all the way from the studio in Glendale to Venice for a celebratory dinner, and to try Cher's gelato truck, Cherlato, as it was their first day of business. It didn't surprise me that Cherlato would launch in such a unique SoCal spot. And celebrity gelato in a gold-coated ice cream cone topped with cotton candy and edible flowers was only...$18. A great Venice memory. Safe travels, Chris!
@@YellowProductions I won a $1,400 Samsung TV to get up on stage with Drew, then $3K in my stage game, then a telescope, trip to Alaska and a boat in the Showcase. Everything happens so fast. Once they call your name, it's like being shot out of a cannon. Lol.
Your senses are unreal if you can smell ice cream from half a block away. Must be durian.😁 It must be over 20 years since I've been to Venice. Maybe it's time for another road trip? But I avoid anything off the 405.😂
YT vlogger German in Venice recently posted a vid of Melrose Ave & shows how much of its commercial space is now vacant. Other vloggers have shown a similar condition of major streets in London, NYC & SF, Shanghai. However, just when it seems that brick-&-mortar is on its last gasps & everyone is now shopping online, there are also recent vids that show a very packed traditional mall in downtown Toronto, while Mike of GIV several weeks ago posted a vid of a very busy Citadal outlet mall several miles east of downtown LA---around 2:00 am, no less, although only because of special holiday sales PR.

Great video, but… Abbot Kinney used to be great, maybe 10- 20 years ago? Now it sucks if you’re a normal person! I hate trendy! But still a great tour.
