Sometimes you just gotta get out of your apartment! Nate and I were so happy to be hosted by the Portofino Hotel and Marina in Redondo Beach, CA for a little staycation. This hotel is a beautiful hotel located in Redondo Beach and is a great option if you are an Angeleno looking for a little escape, or just looking for a great place to stay near the ocean! Follow along as we enjoy everything this hotel has to offer and I get into a little mishap with my drone...whoops!

The fires are so bad. Im in southern cali so we havent seen the smoke yet. Beautiful hotel! Really nice seating area. Great view from your room!

Yes the wildfires are so terrible I think they’re getting them more under control now thank god. We did basically have the hotel to ourselves it seemed pretty empty! Hope you are enjoying the holidays over there stephen!!!

I feel like LA has so many places you could "staycation" at, my lil town doesn't have that many options but there are a few that are noteworthy and within an hour!! 💖

Looks like such a fun time with hubby!! The hotel looks lovely. Thank you for sharing this with us! Mixology Room Service!! That’s sounds Awesome! What a great idea to pair with ceviche too. My hubby would love it. My hubby makes pickled shrimp, have you ever had those? They are SO good! My favorite. The flavor and texture of the shrimp are so goodwhen pickled Never imagines I’d love them like I do. He hasn’t made them in a while. That keeps them special to have them infrequently imo Dinner looked really amazing! Love steak with chimichuri sauce!! Chimichuri sauce is so good! Hubby made salmon at home recently, maybe 3 weeks ago? The sauce he makes with it was amazing. I love salmon and flaky fish. I can’t recall what the sauce he made is called. ? Hollandaise or similar. I may be wrong. He’s still at work, Saturday nights have been extra busy lately. Thank goodness! The past weeks he has been working a bit later. We are thankful for the business. He’s chef at a local seafood restaurant. I do miss the experience of going out to eat! Where we can relax and enjoy each other and he doesn’t feel like he has to cook or prepare anything. We just don’t feel comfortable taking the risk just yet. He already takes so much risk going to work each day. Someday, we will go out again. I am looking forward to it! We have been taking about the first place we will go for a while now. Lol. It’s been a part of our conversations for months. Yea! The drone was saved!! You did such a great job on the paddle board. That shows your core strength and balance, girl, great job!! I could never have done that, even prior to my current physical issues...I would have been quickly in the water. My heart goes out to those affected by these fires. Cannot fathom.

I’ve never had pickled shrimp! Sounds amazing! Lucky girl to have a hubby who is a chef and specializes in seafood! I would be in heaven! I can barely eat seafood these days bc my husband hates the smell of fish and since he’s not working nights anymore I can’t even enjoy it on the nights he works 🤣😭
