Hello. The wind instruments that appear are: long trutruca (long cane or coligue with a cow horn at one end), it is an instrument of Mapuche origin. The notes are achieved only with the mouth. Ocarina, which is a kind of whistle made of clay. The Jaivas not only mix indigenous instruments with rock instruments. They mix rhythms from different Latin American countries, and, in this case, they use an instrument from southern Chile in music from the extreme north.
Thank you so much! I appreciate the information. I am always impressed by how Los Jaivas successfully combines various instruments, sounds, styles, etc. They are incredible. Have an amazing day! 🙂

Let me leave a translation that I did for another reaction video, especially for English speakers. The lyrics are taken from the "Alturas de Macchu Picchu" ('Heights of Macchu Picchu') section of the book "Canto general" ('General chant') by Pablo Neruda (Nobel Prize in 1971). Los Jaivas selected some verses and arranged them in a new structure to make the song. It can be interpreted as a kind of journey from modernity to the old and, in parallel, a transition from everyday death, caused by an overwhelming way of life, towards a death seen as a transformation, a step towards a kind of eternity. I may be wrong in what I say, but that is the beauty of poetry, that everyone can propose an interpretation. La poderosa muerte / The mighty death ¿Qué era el hombre? / What was the man? (The Humanity) ¿En qué parte de su conversación abierta / In what part of his open conversation Entre los almacenes y los silbidos / Between the warehouses and the whistles En cual de sus movimientos metálicos / In which of its metallic movements Vivía lo indestructible / Lived the indestructible Lo imperecedero / The imperishable La vida? / The life? Todos desfallecieron / They all fainted Esperando su muerte / Waiting for his death Su corta muerte diaria / His short daily death Y su quebranto aciago de cada día era / And his fateful breakdown of each day was Como una copa negra que bebían temblando / Like a black cup that they drank shaking Entonces en la escala de la tierra he subido / So, on the scale of the earth I have climbed Entre la atroz maraña de las selvas perdidas / Among the heinous tangle of the lost jungles Hasta ti, Macchu-Picchu / Until you, Macchu-Picchu Alta cuidad de piedras escalares / High city of scalar stones Por fin, morada del que lo terrestre / At last, dwelling of the terrestrial No escondió en las dormidas vestiduras / did not hide in the sleeping garments En ti, como dos lineas paralelas / In you, like two parallel lines La cuna del relámpago y el hombre / The cradle of lightning and man Se mecían en un viento de espinas. / They swayed in a wind of thorns. Madre de piedra, espuma de los cóndores / Mother of stone, foam of the condors Alto arrecife de la aurora humana. / High reef of human aurora. Cuando la mano color de arcilla / When the clay colored hand Se convirtió en arcilla / Turned to clay Y cuando los pequeños párpados / And when the little eyelids Se cerraron / closed Llenos de ásperos muros / Full of rough walls Poblados de castillos / populated with castles Y cuando todo el hombre / And when all man (mandkind) Se enredó en su agujero / Got tangled in her hole Quedó la exactitud enarbolada / The accuracy was raised El alto sitio de la aurora humana / The high site of the human aurora La más alta vasija que contuvo el silencio / The highest vessel (pot) that held the silence Una vida de piedra después de tantas vidas. / A life of stone after so many lives.
Thank you so much for this. I will have to spend some more time with it, but your comments are well appreciated. There does seem to be some sense of a cycle of life in the lyrics. Have an amazing day! 🙂
Thank you! I have reacted to La Conquistada. Here is the link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uJ3l4VXOVpE.html I have the other song you mentioned on my list, and I'm looking forward to it. Have a beautiful day! 🙂
What of the man? In which part Of his open conversation Between the warehouses and the whistles, In which of his metallic movements Lived the indestructible, The everlasting, life? Everyone lost heart While waiting their death, Their daily short death: And their fateful breaking Of every day was… Like a black drink They drank…trembling Then on the earthly ladder i have climbed Then on the earthly ladder i have climbed Between the atrocious skein of the lost jungles Until you… Machu-Picchu Tall city of the climbing stones, finally dwelling of what the land didn’t hide in the sleeping clothing in you, like two parallel lines, the cradle of the lightning flash and of the human being they were rocking in a wind of thorns mother of stone,…foam of the condors Tall reef of the human dawn. When the clay-coloured hand Was converted into clay, And when the small eyelids closed full of rouge walls, inhabited by castles, and when all the man got tangled up in his hole, the wooded accuracy was left: in the tall place of the human dawn: the tallest vessel that contained the silence a life of stone after so many lives.
Music of GENIUSES for gods!! Amigo por favor reacciona a CANCION DEL SUR LA CONQUISTADA TARKA Y OCARINA BOSQUES VIRGINALES... You will be amazed by the songs mentioned💪😎
Amigo quiere pegarse otro viaje escuche tarka y ocarina en estudio o en vivo. La conquistada en vivo Corre que te pillo en viña del mar 1983 Canción del sur en la Antártida
Everything was beautiful in South America, many cultures and native peoples with great wisdom... until the Spanish destroying hand arrived and devastated everything in its path, seeking wealth for them that was important.
Hello!! Thanks for the reaction If you liked the song, I share the lyrics in English, it is a poem by Nobel Prize winner Pablo Neruda, this album was commissioned by Peru to commemorate the 100 years of the discovery of Machu Picchu. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Z1nDWNcbWAQ.htmlsi=NQglD9qzD1t6hM5Z
