not his fault! Dear Robk, I am actually the uploader of the "parts" video. A big sorry from my side. Actually just today I got to know by coincidence you had been reviewing my upload, because I had uploaded the video to a very old legacy account I had forgotten about: and now the explaination why of the "parting". It was my first RU-vid account AGES ago. Ages ago in almost INCAN times (little joke :P ) , when RU-vid didn't allow clips longer than 10 mins! And there the whole reason for the split, as it was the only chance to upload this masterpiece as first user at all on a very young and then not sooo famous youtube platform... I tried to find a good transition part to partition it, without killing the mood. Sorry again for the flawed experience on this majestic chilean muscial answer to Pink Floyd ;)

I was already criticizing you in the other video. Excellent work, great reaction to this tremendous work of art, musicalization of the poems of the Nobel Prize in Literature Pablo Neruda in a masterly way, the Jaivas is the most important progressive and psychedelic rock band in South America and is a flag of Latin American rock, thank you For correcting the video and since you know about progressive music, I recommend TARKA AND OCARINA, it is simply amazing.

Awesome analysis! Originally the band's name was "High Bass", and in an attempt to make it sound more "chilean" they change it to "Los Jaivas" (sound almost similar). What impresses me the most about this album, is that they´ve never been to Machu Pichu before. They composed and recorded it while living in France and imagined everything using books and pictures as reference. May I suggest you another band and tunes? May be you would like to react to Congreso (contemporary to Jaivas). There are good songs to listen to, my favourites: Mariposa de Nubes, Heroina de New York, En todas las Esquinas...

"Tarka y Ocarina" dude, to experience a universe journey! "Danzas", "La Conquistada" or "Canción del Sur" are also some of their hits! As you said, listen to their studio version first maybe, but "Canción del Sur" has a version in Antartica (with studio audio). They were the very first band in the world in playing in Antartica, back in the 80s! Cheers!

“My Friend”….when they started at High School (actually was elementary)….they chose the name: “The High Bass”….that sounds pretty much the same as the Spanish pronunciation “Los Jaiveas” that they changed and they kept for so many years….son yes…pronounce “Los Jaivas” As the original name:”Los High Bass”! And your gonna pronounce it right….I really liked your reaction….you got the feeling of listening to Los Jaivas! As we say in Chile: “A big huge for you”…..and the Lyrics! Well…for a Noble Price Poet, Pablo Nerurda….what else can I say….😉
