Ren was walking home after a days busking and sees this kid singing on the street, it was a 15/16 year old Sam and said you’ve got a great voice but you need more people to hear you so he offered Sam his mic and amp and also offered to play guitar for him and he could keep all the money they made. They’ve been best of friends ever since .that was over 10 years ago. They’ve done quite a few RU-vid videos together

Sam Tompkins is a singer/songwriter from Brighton, UK. He is an incredible artist who opened up for Justin Bieber in Norway. Sam has a number of songs, "Bloodline," "Hero," "Follow Suit," “Whole,” and “Not So Grey,” that address some serious issues like family, mental health, suicide, and other struggles. "You Broke My Heart So Gently," "Critical," "You're The Love Of My Life," “Google Luv,” “Ten Feet Apart,” and his cover of Tears For Fears' "Mad World" are beautiful, but his entire catalog is well-worth listening to. I usually prefer the acoustic version of his songs. His release, "Time Will Fly," is currently my favorite song of his and one of my favorite songs overall, with "See Me" and "Lose It All" running close behind. Sam's latest release, "Phones in Heaven" is also beautiful and very emotional. His rendition of "How To Save A Life (Cover)" is stunning and really reveals his soulfulness. Unfortunately, it is way too short, not the full-length version of the original. Sam’s collaborations with Ren are definitely a must. Check out their busking sessions and music videos. Sam and Ren went viral 5-6 years ago with their busking video for "Earned It / Man's World / Falling" (available on Ren's channel). I would say that's the 1st if you haven't seen it. There is video of the day they met and did some busking together. There's a snip of that in Sam's video "Time Will Fly" (on Sam's channel) and it's a great song too, so I would put this 2nd. Sam did a song called "Hero" about his dad and his struggles with mental illness - he does a video call with his dad at the end. Unfortunately Sam recently lost his dad to suicide, so if you do "Hero (Live from Hammersmith Apollo)", it was filmed a couple weeks after the loss, make sure you're in the mood for a good cry - it makes my heart bleed for Sam. Following that, Sam did a song called "Phones in Heaven".
Sam has also sang on stage with JB after he was invited by JB to do so, any of the Ren and Sam live will do as they are all good, Sam doing his song “Hero” live at the Apollo requires a box of tissues though (I’m 54 old man and it broke me)

Sam Tompkins and Ren have a bunch of busking videos together. They've been friends forever. Unfortunately a couple of months ago Sam's father committed suicide. He battled depression for years and Sam has a song called "Hero" he wrote and released a video for a few years ago for his dad. After his father's suicide Sam played a the song at a sold out concert in England and it was heartbreaking hearing him break down crying at the end of the song. But Sam is an AMAZING talent with the voice of an angel and lyrics that hit your soul.

Brighton ... and I know that others have told you Sam and Ren has been friends for years and have done some songs together they are on youtube worth checking out
If you want to see something even more emotional than this then you must watch hero (official video). It's All about his dad. You'll need tissues for that one.
More Sam. You really can't go wrong with any of his songs. Doubly so for those with videos. Please do his actual songs first instead of his busking with Ren. There are a lot of reactions to the busking and not enough of Sam's own music. I'd recommend See Me, Time Will Fly, Hero, Whole, Stand Ten Feet Away, Die for Someone, Keep Me Breathing, and The Deceiver.
