Hey Mitch, I bought this deck and got to play it yesterday as my last game of the year in a 6 player game. The game lasted about 2 hours and was a really good game. Everyone put up a really good fight and I ended up winning in a really close call against a spirits deck, and most of the players really enjoyed the chaos of the game. I won't be playing this deck every game I play because that would get boring very fast for people, but I wanted to let you know that your deck resulted in the most positive and fun Magic experience I've had for the whole of this year. @@ericbiggdogg7337 There certainly are, but most of them are not optimal, say, casting Obliterate without cheating it out is mostly pointless, when you get to that amout of mana you'll be dead 3 times over.

This is the perfect deck to use before announcing you're moving far away. Or after another friend beat you with a deck everyone hates, just to show them what a real hate worthy deck is
I was surprised you didn’t include assault suit. It would speed up the win quite a bit …. Maybe I just answered my own question, since your stated objective was misery :-)

Thanks again for an amazing deck Mitch! With kids and work I never have time to theory craft but your channel always provides great decks/starting points. I have picked up 5 of your decks so far and modified to make less budget but love everyone of them. Was just able to grab this one for 17 after tax and shipping and have all the nasty land and expensive wipes to add to it. Can't wait to try it out
for like 2 bucks you can get "world slayer" an equipment that destroys all other permanents when equipped creature does combat damage. you could add that to a "break the bank" version of the deck. pretty much win after the first hit.
Classic Commander for me. Lost most of my collection and thus my commander decks due to unfortunate circumstances back in 2014. However, from the ashes I managed to build this guy as my first new commander deck while trying to rebuild my collection. Still have it to this day.
This deck is 10 kinds of fun. I built a very non-budget version of this with board wipe tribal a while ago, and it’s brutal 1v1 especially. He is a proud member of my 29 physical commander pantheon. Proud to see he’s just as fun at a 200th of the cost.
I love my zurgo deck one of the first commander decks I made and still play it. Have about 10 board wiped in it along with my pet card world slayer. Haven't got to get that combo off yet but still waiting for the day when I get to destroy everything but zurgo and worldslayer after an attack.
Oh please please please please please do a break the bank episode for this deck! A 100 dollar budget for something like this would be absolutely insane and awesome!
My $30 vadrik deck claps and is borderline cedh basically. Only lost 2 out of 12 pods and some were a 5 pod. Heavily underrated since he is a new commander.
I put a bit more resources into vadrik and he is mean. Birgi plus one of the buy back red cards like haze of rage or something is basically infinite power for vadrik which just means whacky large x spells
@@TheUltimateRey so basically i changed the $25 profile that mtggoldfish made up a bit and then added sol ring, talisman of creativity, and arcane signet. Deck has like 8 rocks, 2 or 3 counters, multiple pump spells to increase his power like dragons mantle and some instants. the main win cons are haze of rage into a jayas inferno or whispers of the muse, or steam kin or storm kiln artist with a seating touch when his power has enough for free buyback. I can also temporal fissure and basically pull an infinite capsize and i guess commander damage could be lethal too lol. For $30 the deck is cracked; my strongest budget deck where usually my $100 profiles stick around a 7 since i like to stay more casual than cedh; emry stays at home thats my baby and is a straight 10.
Boros charm is also a really good addition to this if you're willing to spend a little over a dollar definitely making this deck gonna have some ppl hate me lol
This is a cool deck! One way to upgrade it that I would do is throw in enchantments that have universal death triggers. They don’t get removed by your wrath’s and they give you a bunch of value that turns your wrath’s into more than just board wipes. Cards like moonlit wake, dingus staff, eternal thirst, necrosynthesis, sadistic glee. These cards are all relatively cheap but there are also a bunch in the higher budgets like mesthook massacre and black market that could benefit from all of the death triggers.
I used to play back when Ice Age was new. My brother, being the asshole he was built a control deck, Winter Orb, Millstone, Meekstone the whole nine yards. Absolutely infuriating to play against and he spent a good chunk of his allowance to put it together. I beat it with a deck that cost maybe $5 and only had 40 cards. Zephyr Falcon, a 1/1 creature with flying and doesn't tap when it attacks combined with Unstable Mutation, which boosts a creature +3/3 but gets -1/1 at the start of every turn until whatever you put it on died. Throw in a couple of counter spells and a few power sinks to keep anything too bad from happening and with one creature I could take half your hit points with very little you can do to counter in the the first few rounds. And I always had two in my hand because of the small deck size. He almost flipped the table when I beat him. I took that deck to a local tournament and got second place.
Too bad Chandras Ignition is too spendy at $5. It would be perfect. -It is a boardwipe when commander is on board (7 damage kills most things) -Since commander does the 7 damage to each creature, it gets a +1/+1 counter for each creature that died.
I have a very similar deck. Our lgs has an Urza problem (too many Urza players locking up the board with Narset, Parter of Veils and Puzzle Box) so I made a deck where the commander is Rosheen Meanderer amd every card is destroy target artifact, destroy islands, or counter target blue spell. Its sole purpose is to deal with the Urzas.
Hey Mitch, I ran a version of this w 16 sweeps and 16 spot removal spells. Ran the Indestructible gods, Mogis etc too. Worked great for my Meta. Thanks
The "lose all your friends" card for me recently became Etali. I have him in Veyran deck. With Eye of the Storm and Thousand-year Storm. Revolving around stealing things for good and getting extra turns. Yeaaaaaaaah. Etali on turn 4 can paint you a juicy target mark on your forehead anyway.
I love episodes like this one. I'm sure there's someone out there who's playgroup spited them recently, and this video came along at the perfect time for them to get some cheap revenge in.

Worldslayer would be a better Golden Pig. Literally ends games. I run it in my Zetalpa deck to take advantage of the trample/flying to get that combat damage in, the indestructible to live the wrath, and the double strike to trigger Worldslayer twice in one turn to make sure nothing sticky gets to survive.
This deck 💡 should never be spoken of lol, I have a friend who has like 6 wrath's in his deck, and my table gets so salty lmao. I could only imagine a deck that does it on every turn 🤣
In my playgroup it's really easy to see cards like jokulhaps and other wraths effect, so i built a deck that is supposed to be immune to wraths. I'd love to play 2 headed giant with this deck as a partner!
In order to get me to start playing Magic my friends built me a deck of a card I had seen in passing. They put the only strip mine they had in it but told me to be wary because touching people's lands is taboo. They built me Muldrotha as my first deck.
the problem with this deck, is that its built to fight against other creature decks. it could use some counter play to spell slinger decks by make it maybe a bit more voltron-y? like hex proof and protection from other colors or something
I didn't even hesitate to buy this deck. I live for salt decks, and pissing off my friend group. They're starting to pump lots of money into decks and making higher tier ones. So this is perfect for my next game session, thanks!!

i did this with Alesha of the infinite, It's this, but on instant speed. I played it once, and took it appart. That 4 hour game was my revenge for my play group always blowing up my artifacts :p
Zurgo is that legendary creature i keep leering at in a weird way to build a "board wipe" deck where i can safely run all the "destroy all creature" cards BUT Zurgo is more a "voltron" commander than a "go wide" commander. There are equipment's that create creature tokens, including a vehicle. Not all board wipes leave your artifacts alone. You never normally have mana to cast Darksteel Forge..... i really feel like if i want a "Voltron" commander, i have other options. Especially since Darksteel Plate exists.
"Our commander is indestructible! And you keep destroying all creatures!" My sacrificial zombie deck that get bonuses when they die: "Nice! So its a win, win!"
So I actually just purchased this deck for myself. Not been playing MTG long, and what I have played has been Standard. Thought that this would at least be a good starting point, and I could make some mods as I go along.
If you want to throw an extra dollar on there Worldslayer would be an excellent addition to the deck, basically a bearer of the heavens on an equipment...
I have been brewing a deck like this with Bruse Tarl and Anara. Green gives access to land ramp and mass artifact and enchantment removal like Fracturing Gust and Creeping Corrosion. Ya know, to lose even more friends.
The TCGPlayer decklist shows a single Green pip in there somewhere, but I can't seem to find what card it's getting that from. Is TCGPlayer wrong, or am I blind?
i don't know if you included a fun equipment card zurgo can utilize very well it's called world SLayer ^^ very fun equipmnet games is basicly over ^^ probbably the best comander to hand the world slayer to is avacyn angel of hope

for 10$ you could probably build a stronger Zurgo that is less toxic to play against. Honestly wrath-centric Zurgo isn't very good, although a Zurgo deck should have at least 6-7 wraths for good measure (if not for helping Zurgo get through, to reset the board and slow opponents down until you recast him)
Another way to piss your friends off for cheep is my "Sunnyside up" so much mana shuffling and it takes many many many minutes for the kill turn. I have been banned from ever playing it again by any opponent who has seen it.
I'm surprised Worldslayer wasn't on this list. You get a worldslayer onto zurgo, get a clean shot in, and it's GG. Everything's destroyed except Zurgo and Worldslayer, your next turn you just attack the open player and board wipe on every single one of your combat steps
My Progenitus Turbo Fog deck? 11 wraths. My Toshiro Spellslinger deck? 18 wraths. Now you tell me I can play 30 wraths in one deck? Please. Please take my money!
i play zurgo only because i pulled a zurgo back in the day and this deck is fun. wipe wipe wipe wipe, zurgo + worldslayer, wipe lol .. thanks for the new ideas
Couldn't you do a similar thing with Silvar Devourer of the Free? Just human token generation+wrath wipe. Wrath+sac tokens+give Silvar indestructible, and can be done any turn. If they have 1 hexproof or shroud creature still available, it doesnt matter because Silvar has Menace. (Bringing Trynn out too is pointless)
I made this style dead last year I call it my Friday the 13th deck I filled it board wipes equip masks and the card trusty machete I put Planeswalker nahri in there to be Jason's mother and Zurgo is Jason. It was so good I had to put a restriction that I couldnt play Zurgo unless I had a mask equipment
