You did so much extra work to install that kill switch that did not need to be done man. I didn’t remove half the stuff you did! But I have the proper tools.
Hey bud nice detailed install video. The way i ran my kill switch works with the controller and receiver that the car comes with you just have to put the y splitter cable on the receiver auxiliary 1 which is what the buttons labeled a and b on the transmitter control for those who dont have other transmitter/receiver combos with more channels.
For some reason mine wasn't activating the kill switch. That is what I hooked up the second y splitter into was the aux channel and it wasn't working. What type of kill switch are you running in yours. Thanks for the comment.
@@rcalex3058 like I said before I will try my dynamite kill switch on another motor with the stock controller and receiver. I did explain at around 14 or 15 min in about the second y splitter and about how this one has a separate white wire for signal. Maybe that is the difference. I believe yours has just the 3 wires going directly to the aux channel which might be why it works fine. Will test and video it to find out. Thanks again
My tank on the 2.0 dbxl leaked so I used a bolt just a bit bigger then the hole and put a fuel resistance o ring on it then tighten it back down. Hasn't leaked since
Have been using the triton killswitches for over a year and have not had a single issue. There is no sound with it but that doesn't bother me. They are definitely a killswitch I would recommend.
Is this the same rig you put the dynamite kill switch in? Did that one not work or something? I have the dynamite switch myself but haven't installed it yet.
I am running the triton kill switch in this one. I have a new dynamite one I will be making a video on with a different engine but using the stock receiver to see if it works then.
@@lnskustoms6795 does the kill switch not work with the stock transmitter because of the light bar? Reckon a guy could run a Y splitter for the light and the kill switch.
@@B1G5L1M I was running a y splitter. The kill switch I am running plugs into 2 channels of the receiver. One y is for the throttle and a second y splitter is in line with the light on the aux channel. At 14 min in I believe I explain that.
It should if it loses signal. The problem was it wouldn't activate the kill switch. So it was always on thus not being able to start it. It is always ideal to have it on a control that turns it on and off not relying on just turning off the remote that might not kill the engine which wouldn't be good cuz then you would have no control in steering or brake function. Hope that helps.
I have had them connected. It was because of the type of kill switch I am running. The stock remote didn't work with it. Will be doing another video with a different kill switch and that remote soon.
